Beautiful dogs, but it's a bummer some countries made docking/cropping illegal. The Cane Corso looks better with the tail and ears cut. My Corso Thor is a wonderful boy, and very loyal, but he pretty much hates everyone outside of "his" human and dog family. They're not a breed for everyone.

Great video and great dogs. I'm stuck between these two breeds and a neopolitan as to which one to get. I've currently got rotties and would love to give them a play mate. They love big dogs so I know they'd be happy. My hearts with the dogue. Anyone have any recommndations for breeders in the uk. Could be really helpful.

@xmalcyx: there are many bad breeders of mastiffs in the uk, so id recommend being very carefull about what breeders you go to. i personally prefair crosses because they tend to be healthyer, and saves unwanted 'mongrols' going to homes, i have a Am-bulldog X dogue and he's a true specimen with great temprement..

@k80nya I agree w/you! The ears were originally cropped since they are the breed's most sensitive part of the body so when this dog would fend off wolves, it was prudent 2 have cropping. HOWEVER, this isnt the 18th century so cropping is now simply mutilation! My corso's ears are NOT cropped and she is all the happier and more beautiful 4 it!

In Finland since 2001 croping & docing is forbidden for all breeds. Our croping & docing dogs was imported from Italy.

Except that in some breeds its HEALTHIER and ends up being LESS painful for the dog in the long run to dock the tail. Croping the ears I don't see enough of a medical reason to have it done. They say to keep the ears dry but floppy eared dogs keep their ears dry.

If being used for hunting or police work docking does have a use in that it means they can't catch they're tail and rip it apart whilst jumping fences after something. Ear cropping is kind of pointless though unless your dog fighting scum that needs to be shot

The Dogue De Bordeaux is on average supposed to weigh 120-150 pounds. But it is common for the Dogue to weigh up to 160-170, and it is not rare for a Dogue to reach up to 200 pounds. Cane Corsos on average weigh 99-110 pounds, but 120 or 130 is not uncommon. The Presa on average weighs 80-130 pounds, but can sometimes reach up to 140 or 150. Overall the Dogue De Bordeaux would be the best choice if you are looking at size, and want a big dog.But neither of these dogs are for beginners.

You are right...

There are no presas weighing 150 pounds just like there are no DDB's which weigh 200 pounds. Unless you count a morbidly obese dogs which can barely get around. ONLY true giant breeds SOMETIMES reach 200 pounds plus. The DDB nor the Presa nor the CC are true giants. They are supposed to be a certain size to be able to do their job. ONLY novices brag about oversized dogs in non giant breeds.

Maxen, I had a Neo that didnt have as maybe wrinkles as a typical Neo. He looked very much like a Cane Corso. I have notice Cane Corsoa and some Neos r very similar looking. I never looked much into it, but r they related? Was the Cane Corse breed from Neos? And r they similar in size? My male was 170lb, 33inches at the withers. omg!! the black and grey corso together looks just identical to both of my corsos. That's weird. Beautiful video. We both both our corsos out here in Sicily where we live right now for another year. The female and the male are around the same age. But my boy is one Beautiful corso. His father was the champion in 2005 all over europe.
