I love hearing this song--the energy is such an anthem for the fearless--one of the best songs of the 21st century for sure...I wouldve loved to have seen these guys tour with the likes of AFI and/or Cheap Trick....lol...can you imagine? Robin Zander and Davey Havoc popping out to stir the crowd in a sing along during the chorus *shivers*
I remember exactly when I heard this song for the first time... My parents had just separated and my mother, sister and I had to move across the country for a while to stay with my uncle. I was laying on the floor in the guest bedroom watching tv and had the door open and a nice breeze was coming in. All of a sudden this song came on and I remember just finally feeling happy for the first time in a long time. That was over 7 years ago now, but I will never forget that moment or this song.
@TheyCallMeStaci VERY awesome feeling, Im sure---did ya get that `riding a rollercoaster feeling in your stomach when you suddenly found yourself screaming along to the chorus--and for the 3rd time? lol VERY COOL STORY--thanks for sharing it with us `RED HEADS` (just what is the OFFICIAL name for V RED fans?)
@rollergoalie16 Haha I totally agree. In fact, the first time I saw this on tv, it was on mute because I was on the phone. And from across the room I thought it was an old Who video.
UGH, I shoulda busted this guys head open when i walked into the club, before they made it big and he had the chance to smother this screamo crap all over. Tainted warped tour for over a decade now...
brings back so many memories. winning the Stanley Cup in NHL 2004, and this song playing during the team photo, and feeling the most awesome feeling of accomplishment there is.. heck yeah.
These guys were like my first obsessive favorite band... Between the Never and the Now is still like one of the most awesome albums ever produced. The whole damn thing.
@Crassus888 same her i love this song 2004 songs were awsome and the game rocked!!!(all memery from that game was deleated acedently a year ago i was sooo far but o well=()

I totally forgot all about VR until my dad came up to me and was all Zachary wants me to tell you hey and to check out his other band haha I love my cousins old band, i wish they were still together
I first heard VR when I went to a Brand New/Dashboard concert in 04...so fucking sick..I got this cd autographed and everything, awesome band..too bad their donja
i LOVED this song on NHL 2004 i rarelyu heard it tho; my team, when i was GM for 20 years, won the cup but 5 times....no srry 6but we made the Stanley Cup Finals 17 times; and made the Conference Finals EVERY YEAR; the team that i had REAL trouble beating was the Detroit Red Wings
srry we made the conference final 19 years straight my 1st year i made the Conference Semi-Finals before losing to Chicago Blackhawks in 7 games (hell the 7th game ended in a 9-8 loss (for my team) in the 6th OT Period)
its 5-15 and i like a challenge; ive recently played it alot again so in the last 15 seasons ive improved to 12-3...so total i'd be 17-18 total in the last 35 seasons
dayuum, this song forever emcampsulizes summer before 8th grade entirely for me :0 ...i forgot shit like this still exists in the world. screaming our pubesant little drunken lungs out to SHATERDAY. ..its like foam soap, it just never gets old, man
Aha damn they attacked my cousin! Hope you didn't get to many injuries while on that tour! Aha zach I always said you and simon were the lucky ones because you got so much talent in the family (:
That was so cool in NHL 04 when you won the Stanley Cup and this song played while showing each of your players in the team snapshot with their stats.
Zach Davidson, Leif Anderson, and Jeff Rouse made a band called sirens sister, Michael Vermillion has a solo career and justin is now drumming for "with friends like me"
man it was the best victory cut scene ever, the way it showed the team picture and then showed everyones stats. This song fit so perfectly too. It was the coolest idea ever, they should still do it
@brianz90 the only reason you say that is bc it's the only one you have, unless you're one of those maniacs that goes and buys the next game every year

fuck, i remember seeing these guys at warped2003montreal. first time hearing them, totally in awe by the energy. and this girl in the front row wasn't paying attention, and zach just started hounding her and singing and screaming in her face. fucking awesome.
I have loved this band for years, and when they played in OKC a couple years ago I was stoked. They tore up the stage. It was awesome. But the crowd was unbelievably shitty and totally non-responsive. Grrr.
i remember meeting the singer once telling him they put on a sweet show and he was a prick. unless you were a teenage girl that is. im not someone that puts musicians no matter how big or small on pedestals i was just being nice and he was a complete ego maniac. i still think they're a good band though.
Zach is a good friend of mine. And yes he for the most part is.. lmfao
Yeah I told the other guy he just has mood swings sometimes and he would have definatly apologized if he saw him later on in the evening or something.. he always does.

Hey I'm friends with that prick; and he happens to be one of the nicest dudes I've ever met. No I'm not putting him on a pedestal.. He's just a very quiet guy and he gets mood swings sometimes, but believe me if you had saw him after he most likely would have apologized.
Anyway, sorry lol. I'm not trying to call you out or anything i'm just saying.
If you listen to Silhouette on the Sister of the red Death it doesn't really fit anywhere in the story of glory its just a single thats out of its place. This song is way better then Silhouette in my opinion.
actually this song isnt about america being hated. its dedicated to kurt cobain of nirvana. they made the band when he died because they loved them? if u listen to when he says"when u bit the bullet" thats saying kurt cobain killed himself. CHEERS to VR!
lol and yet it says "when you bit the bullet i held the smoking gun" maybe it means he didn't kill himself but she-who-must-not-be-named... ehh who knows

What's Zach mean by this " a few good things happened to us. a lot of bad things happened to us. a lot of people wanted to kill us. we were always outsiders. we were always alone. and after a 7 year legacy of struggle and torment we now have to posthumously defend the ghost of a band that meant everything to me. regardles we always told the truth even if it meant alienating ourselves from everyone, and i continue to do so. " WTF
It's hard to get into Sirens Sister i mean i like them and all but it not anything like VR. Sirens Sister is kinda like coldplay to me or U2 which i know is zach's fav. band but come on. I hate U2 Bono can go suck a fat one.
