  • really hard for me to listen to without getting teary eyed

  • I like the sim. FM static.. reminds me of the old days

  • Isn't he just awesome?

  • Roger Waters is a genius.

  • Superb tune by great artist..time to roll a fat one : )

  • what a fucking ledgend

  • This song got me at hello.

  • really love this song

  • thx

  • awesome :-)

  • What a fuckin' genius... I've seen The Wall in Paris and one week later I was still astonished by this concert. I'm so impressed by this man. He touched me so many times with his music and his lyrics. Thank you.

  • Why was this Master piece NEVER made into a Movie ... with all the absolute shite that's out now .. they remade Fright Night instead of this?!?!

  • maybe its just me but i think Roger totally lost his way after the wall nothing he did after that was even halfway decent he is a genius but in my opinion his solo work was sub par

  • @MrDannyboyhall I'm not to fond of Pros and Cons or Radio KAOS, but what about Amused to Death? That's a fucking masterpiece.

  • @Polterguist honestly i didnt like any of his solo work but love everything he did with floyd

  • oooo

  • radio kaos an pros an cons helped me thro my 3 year jail sentence for cusing death by wrecless driving

  • if there's a god in this fucking world, probably it is supposed to be sir roger waters

  • one of the most beautiful songs ever, waters is god.

  • God Help Us All!!! Roger Speaks The Truth of The Strangers to All Who We Live With. His Words are the TRUTH!! We are the SAME!!!

  • One of the best songs on the album, thanks for the upload, 1st time of seen this original version, bit of extra stuff at the start

  • This song makes wanna cry. It's so beautiful

  • This is one of those songs that embodies everything Roger brought to Floyd. It has a massive heart, the lyrics make you think, nothing is gratuitous or there for the sake of it. The song is a work of art. It is something Gilmour could never replicate, no matter how many session men he got in or who he got to write the lyrics. Only Roger can do this kind of thing.

  • @xfilian1 He did it with High Hopes and Keep Talking.

  • @Polterguist That is your opinion and you are entitled to it. IMO it has no heart whatsoever. It is something that is forced because Gilmour could never do a full, proper Floyd album without Waters and it shows. Waters does not have to try to come up with great concepts and brillient lyrics; it comes naturally. Gilmour has to get his wife to write the lyrics and they are still poor. Still, most of the masses were convinced and the bucks rolled in...thats all that matters....

  • @xfilian1 Division Bell is the 3rd best Floyd album in my opinion. Gilmour may not be very good on the lyrics, but he can crush waters in the instruments. Lyrics aren't as important as the instruments, and Division Bell has some of the most beautiful instruments of all time. Moreover, Pros and Cons is conceptually brilliant, but some of the songs have such poor musical quality that it's unbelievable. Waters can't do as well without Gilmour.

  • @Polterguist Pros and Cons is very repetitive musically but that is mainly because it is linked to a concept which is in itself repetitive ie. a series of dreams about a man's struggle to be in a relationship and remain virtuous at the same time. It is a complicated work and it is a record that will not appeal to everybody. Division Bell will have a much broader mass market appeal - it is largely a series of verse-chorus-verse songs with a guitar solo tacked on each one. Pretty dull IMO.

  • @xfilian1 It's not just repetitive; the instruments are really bad on some of the songs. As for Division Bell, you really can't judge how the song is structured; you have to judge it on how the instruments sound. Moreover, the songs on Division Bell have an average length of 6 minutes. Gilmour and Wright didn't just pull something out of their asses; they spend time on their work like Waters does.

  • @Polterguist I just think that Pink Floyd wouldn't be the same without any of them.Roger and David were defferent kind of people.Roger was the human part of the band,he is more committed with his lyrics, and David is the perfection on the instrumental part, that's all. But,I think you can't say that the musical quality was poor on Pros and Cons.I mean, the guitarist was Eric Clapton!!!!

  • @missbeatleforever Why do you think Rolling Stone gave this album one star? Eric Clapton didn't shine on all of the songs such as Arabs with Knives.

  • @Polterguist Well I don't care much what the Rolling Stone said. That's my opinion

  • @missbeatleforever Neither do I, but they have a point. Lyrics are very important, but you can never forget the instruments.

  • @Polterguist Yes,I know what you mean, but I think that the instruments are not bad at all,but that's my point of view

  • @Polterguist I agree with you that Pros And Cons was extremely weak in parts.... but your statement that "lyrics aren't as important as instruments"..... I very much dis-agree. In fact, the world is full of people that can just wail on their instruments, but how often do you really hear lyrics with this kind of power and depth and meaning?? You rarely hear honest lyrics out there...it's very rare. And the Division Bell pretty much blew.... some beatiful guitar work, but third best?? Nope.

  • I WANT TO FUCK HIM

  • 3:50

    goodbye King Louis

  • amused to death

    pros and cons

    wish you were here

    final cut

dark side of the moon (hard to leave the wall & animals out but these shade it slightly)

  • beautiful beautiful beautiful. unfortunately andy fairweather low just cant recreate it live. seen this at hyde park and earls court a few years ago fantastic but just not the same. for 16 years now floyd and roger have been the sountrack to my life. i have friends who find this a marmite album but not me. as fantastic as amused to death is i just cant seperate it from this in terms of quality. heres my top 5 albums in no order as i cant seperate them. just an opinion though

  • Another masterpiece of an album from Roger.

  • I think that Roger Waters' solo work isn't given enough attention, this is really good music. I am slowly working on collecting all Pink Floyd music and the solo work by the respective members. I love concept albums and I think that Roger Waters is by far the best concept album writer ever.

  • Calming sounds . . . I love this song, how he decided to add the voice of the waitress at the start, for some reason, and then the quiet sounds of his voice and the mellow piano, the echoes of the choir . . . and the touch of the electric guitar makes it more lovely. "Myself in every stranger's eyes..."

  • oh my god...how many sence can we see inside of this?ho my god..........some times i really want to go from here.........

  • La guitarra de clapton en conjuncion con la voz de waters es simplemente facinante!

  • Roger Waters is a GENIUS. Blown away. Seriously calms my whole body, mind, just perfection

  • @KelleyMcGowan This is nice true - just mystic

  • Roger Waters - Amused to Death - EPK

  • good to see the original video up for the public to see rogers unique motivtion behind music videos as ypu should witness his perspective of the pop video:

  • simply perfect! enough said!

  • great eric clapton on Guitars in this album

  • I've listened to this album about 5 million times and just now saw this video for the first time.

  • @ 00:04 "Hey? Turn the f**king jukebox down!" too funny...

  • @vasilivasili78 Hell yeah! didnt hear that till I listened to it with headphones. Thats awesome!

  • Great song from a great album. the tour in 1984 was incredible.

  • As much as I love(d) Pink Floyd, I don't regret the breakup since it gave us three great solo albums by Roger Waters - - and a couple good ones from Dave.

  • @barques95 I totally agree Roger's solo albums were amazing I saw him for the first time during the Radio KAOS tour amazing show

  • what year was this video made

  • @dangaertner7 around 1984 when "Pros and Cons of Hitchiking" was released... I saw the tour for that album with Eric Clapton and David Sanborn playing with Roger Waters. It was the best...

  • @rreeves70 wow you got to see him, LUCKY, i was hoping i could see his Wall tour but all the tickets sold out :(

  • @dangaertner7

one of the best concerts I've been, not bragging but I seen a lot of 'em... it was amazing to see them together playing... great memory.

  • Wow I can't believe u have the video, amazing!!!!

  • Bienvenido a México!!!! te esperamos con muchas ganas!!!

  • This song is incredible! The lyrics are the best. The only problem is it depresses the hell out of me. But i still play it. One of the top 5 best songs ever written.

  • these are the pros and cons of hitchiking

  • happy birthday you genius

  • For a Bass player from Cambridge UK, this guy has done ok, o yeah, and the convincing Clint Eastwood voice, be honest, how many bass players have accelerated their careers using that!?

  • @xesionprince at least Lemmy from Motorhead ;)

  • @xesionprince at least lemmy from motorhead ;)

  • @xesionprince Roger actually started as a guitarist in what was to become pink floyd later down the track so he wasnt a bass player made good he was a guitarist made bad that made good lol

  • Bonita canción de mi album favorito!! Perfecta la voz de Roger waters.

  • one black person in the whole video.

If you never listen to "Obscured By Clouds" then you're missing out.

  • beter than the wall

  • best album of all time

  • myself in every stranger's eyes....

  • When Pink Floyd split we lost nothing. Floyd is still great and we gained Roger's best work ever. Gilmour and Waters are both geniuses

This album is one of my favorites. I have every album they ever made. Did u know that Gilmour made some solo albums also

  • @JRLUECK yup i have over 200 lps concerts studio albums unrelesd stuff vform all member inc syd yup floyd im a true floydain

  • I recognize you in Every Strangers Eyes

  • Whoever it is , Waters or Gilmour, who is NOT or is REFUSING to work with the other is SELFISH and should tear down that wall that is preventing you from doing so !

Pink Floyd is enjoyed by so many , please think of us too when you decide not to work with eachother.

  • Absolutely brilliant in every way

Roger waters is without a doubt the best musician of all time...

  • clapton played great in this song too .

  • this was just amazing

  • flodyano ... I'm a fan of the authentic roger waters, your music your voice lyrics, short of what we can say more than a heavyweight of his music can be heard as often as you want, we do not saturate ... go there to give the arm twisting ... listen to this song ... peace ... that we forget everything ... that peace of mind, what to say more, just listen ...

  • this doesnt suck

  • is the best song 4 me..

  • hermoso tema!!! beautiful song!!!

  • What does american flag do in this clip? This is a song about lost potential of man to be as close as possible to nature and to each other, to recognize himself in anyone else, isn't it? And one of the best way to lose this potential is to tear away men from their land, annihilate those ones who can yet feel his connection with nature and let live those who are already just robots

  • @TheDostoyevsky the flag represents the usa who clearly is the most damaging country on earth

  • In council care and county courts

At Easter fairs and sea-side resorts

In drawing rooms and city morgues

    In award winning photographs

Of life rafts on the China seas

In transit camps, under arc lamps

    On unloading ramps

In faces blurred by rubber stamps

    I recognise...

    Myself in every stranger's eyes

  • This song has some of the greatest lyrics every written. Roger Waters is a poet in every sense of the word. Its terrible we can't say that about more "artists" around today.

  • Hei Whippetussi I agree with you. Roger is sex and I love him

  • 'Grt...grt....ROGER WATERS is god of lyrics and composition

  • sexiest man on earth.

  • STILL get chills very time I hear this song.

  • And faces Blurred by Rubber stamps.....I recognize...Knocks me over with his lyrics...So deep and Poetic.

  • This sucha n awesome song.....I mean thats goes without saying.

  • this may very well be Roger's best song words are truly amazing.

  • Brilliant. Very moving as much of his work is. For me 'old misery guts' (Dave Gilmour's words) was the heart and soul of Pink Floyd.

  • see!! de lo mejor!! uff great memories.. a special song to me and uff.. yes, you

  • YAWP!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great song ...great video ... Wonderful

  • Never seen this video before. Thanks A Ton for Sharing!! Simply Superb Song!! One of the few Late Roger songs that can make tears well up! Moving!

  • Roger ,your no stranger in my eyes..

i love your music..You are amazing..

Merry christmas to you and family..

  • @redwhitch17 I totally agree the only HUman left with some balls to speak the truth

  • This goes way beyond art- straight to the heart of mysticism and meaning. One of the true masterpieces. So many people have been to this place. Few have given such a true account of what they found.

  • Ciągle wracam do tej piosenki. Mam ciągle winyla z 1984, który kupiłam 2 tygodnie po premierze albumu... Waters zebrał najlepszych, żeby go nagrać. Clapon... Sanborn...

  • wow i never saw that one!

i must admit that i didn't find any meaning to the american flag in this song, especially since it was made in the Reagan era and that Waters not from the US. maybe he wanted to sell his album in some strange familiar way...

  • fucking excellent song. Roger is a real music master. he´s a real artist, he always do ART

  • Roger you are a great teacher of life.

  • Absolutely my favorite..

  • great fucking album

  • @arnoldwarrior15 great fucking man

  • exelente video exelente música ok

  • happy birthday roger 66 today godbless

  • @munghi Cool....for an olde man! haha

  • He's actually working on two albums (from what i recall from an interview) ill see if i can find it

    anyway

    this is a great song!

  • @playtendo641 A rock one is still due out, but he did the Italian opera one already, some time ago.

  • Essa música é fabulosa, o máximo...

  • This song will never age a moment. Such is genius, when melted with talent. Amazing gift.

  • Fabulous and emotional voice here.

  • What a single versus: Every Strangers Eyes VS Blue Light (of DG, of course)...

  • Easy to play guitar, but filled with emotion

  • This is a truely wonderful amazing song (along with many others) that has not got the reconition they deserve, although Rogers recent output has been disappointing - nothing since the brilliant 'Amused to Death' so many years ago - anybody know why?

    knumnut

  • He spent the majority of his time between 1992 and 2005 writing (and re-writing) his classical music album Ca Ira released in 2005. He was also touring in the late 90's and the early Millennium as a solo act (the DVD and CD "In the flesh" was recorded from that concert). He also recorded a few new songs released on his compulation CD Flickering Flame volume 1 in 2002 and the singles to kill the child and leaving Beirut in 2003. That's why as far as I know.

  • Thanks for replying - I did know all of that, I'm just disappointed we have no new rock albums from Roger since ATD. Could it be that all his work has been of such an high standard and with him being such a perfectionist - he would find it too much to live up to? Knumnut

  • Well I think so then again those songs from the singles CD and his compilation are great works of art too. Maybe he can make another album but not be successful at it.

  • Oops I forgot to mention "Hello I love you" from the last mimzy movie sound track and music video from 2007.

  • I just don't think we have been in the same places as he has recently.

  • what a beautiful song.... such wonderful melody and lyrics.....i heard that roger gave the rest of the band a choice of either doing pros and cons or the wall as a "Floyd" album, and well, the rest is history.... roger's songwriting and clapton's guitar still made this a lovely album though!!

  • I wish Roger hadn't put the time of day before the names of the songs. If makes it hard to find the ones I want on my mp3 player

  • An album like this you need to put it all on anyways... This is like the King of concept albums

  • He is a real musican artist. Very talented with nice voice.

  • arrrgghhh....fookin hell..This has just killed me...I love Roger Waters...

This song has just blew me away...

  • Wow, wusste gar nicht, dass Roger Waters so gut singen kann.

  • this song is very very wierd when you are stoned out of your face

  • Beautiful song...i just love Rogers voice....

    goose bumps and chills ...5*****

  • God that voice!! Thanks Shaun!!!

    Thanks for posting!! Brilliant!!

  • That has some killing notes in it.

    Creator, Roger.

  • Great Roger - I love this song - one of the bests of Roger Waters

  • Pure Gold

  • i LOVE THIS SONG...He really didn't need to do a Vid for this song to get my attention, and erics solo ...OMG...good stuff

  • An amazing song...a roger classic...first time i have ever seen this...the video is suspect...but again..a truly great piece from roger

  • snif snif

  • As always the album was / is far more better without the video.

Do we need pictures to absorb the quality of poetry ?

Hell no, they kill every fantasy.

  • he shoad have don this with pink floyd but i love it it brings a teer to my eyes (snif snif)

  • beautifull melody..i love Roger Waters...

  • This is what I love about you tube!! Finding old gems like this, that I have never seen!!

  • u r the berst roger.

  • i love this song. great melody, and the lyrics are righteous, as Waters' usually are

  • this album brought Eric Clapton back from the edge of destruction....thats him on the guitars

  • I'm not sure that Eric Clapton was ever on the edge of destruction.

  • You make me laugh...

  • That was my intention.

  • Everytime I think of Pink Floyd I get the image of an American desert highway and a truck, perhaps from this.

  • Roger Waters is a Genius..but together with David Gilmour, was another thing!Anyway,i love all they make,Floyd music and solo music...musicians like they...there's no more!

  • Gilmour>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Waters

  • he is so great i love this album i saw him twice on this tour

  • perchè avete divorziato dai pink?Non capisco erano eccellenti masi buttali via dalla finestra pensando ad altri progetti,nn vanno +

  • why is it this album and amised to death is nowhere near as good on the origial album than it is whan he plays it live!

  • I love this song. I love Waters. But this music video sucks like every single other music video ever made...

  • The lyrical genius and social philosopher our our times....

Roger, if you ever read this, the world needs a social thesis from you....or maybe I could write it. Started already but it is a hopeless pursuit because only you know you heart, soul and mind.

  • I am totaly agree with you, Roger waters is a philosopher and a poet of our times... But its a pity at the same time...... all great men must die to be valorate... I mean world wide vaoloration. Nevertheless, there are some thousands who loves him so much. Me personally, his music save me in so many ocassions.

  • When last did you listen to Amused To Death? Definitely my favourite Waters album....

  • What more could he say in mere words?

  • WOW such a fucking strong song,it amazes me much,Toto
