Ill bet that is what makes this version so epic - you would have been able to play at home but it wouldnt be some kind of 2600 letdown.

Although this version looks better the Arcade version and the Atari 2600 (excluding Pacman) will always be my favorite. :D

Did Jr Packman have intermissions, either in the 5200 version or in the arcade?

@ChiMike07 Unfortunately, in the unreleased Atari 5200 version of Jr. Pac-Man that I have played at the time of this video piece, it had no intermissions programmed into it at all (unlike the original 1983 Bally Midway arcade version which had them).

No wonder that it was a crying shame that this did not get released on that home console indeed; however, there is *currently* a homebrew version of this game for the Atari 7800 that is available now through Atariage.com. Be sure to try it!!! ;)

You have an Atari 5200 that actually has a controler that works! How did you get it working!

@Kajayachtproductions Actually, since this game was unreleased for the 5200 at all, about the only way to play it was through an Atari 5200 emulator on the computer. That's it. Otherwise, Jr. Pac-Man did not make it past the completed stages of programming before this was shipped to store shelves in 1984 or so as a 5200 cartridges, and that is rather such a shame indeed. What a serious waste, as a result!! :(

That sucks this was never released for the 5200. Jr Pac-Man is my favorite game on the 2600.

I did not use any save states at all in this video, aakurtz. This was rather just my original play of the Atari 5200 unreleased version of Jr. Pac-Man, which could VERY easily have been one of the best games out on the console, period.

I do not know exactly about the AI in this game myself; all I can remember is that this game is just as deep and challenging as the arcade original in so many respects. That is all I am saying. ;)
