  • @puppetfriends59

    Thanks

  • There came a time when the heavens parted, and the righteous hand of god cast over the earth to find a man to play guitar.

I cannot stress how mad your skills are.

  • @TRG177

Many players are much better than I am.

And I guess god may better try to end wars than to spend time about guitar...

Anyway, thanks for the kind words !

    V.

    Val

  • nice even playing it on a guitar from the right era

  • you're amazing!you made the sound come so naturally and seemingly easy. But I know that what you do is of great difficulty.

  • @november191968

No this is not so difficult. I only play easy pieces on the guitar (but much more difficult on the lute)

  • Bravo

  • @Blackmore1987

    Thank you ;-)

    Val

Tu as beaucoup de chance!

  • @Ukucafe

    ;-)

    Val

  • That's awesome. awesome playing, awesome guitar and awesome piece.

    thanks for this video =)

  • @ofirariel

    Thanks a lot ;(-)

    Val

  • Hi Val, I have posted a previous message saying I was learning this piece. Having now developed it a little am now wondering do you conciously make bass note stops throughout? The score indicates, in most cases, a one note beat, should stops be used to hold this true to value? Cheers...Dave.

  • On a modern guitar, with high tension strings and nail playing, you should stop as notes rings loud and long, but here with an old guitar, low tension strings and no nails I don't do it.

    ;-)

    Val

  • Appreciate your comment, thanks.

  • Excelenteee, muy buena ejecucion!

  • Thanks ;-)

    Val

  • Many guitarist play with the p finger outside the hand. but this guitarist play with the p finger inside the hand. what's the difference?

  • I'm first a lutenist, and the right hand technic I'm using is lute technic, sometimes I'm playing a little bit of guitar for my pleasure, but I didn't change my technic. That's all.

My opinion : music is important, technic is only a tool. ;-)

    Val

  • That guitar is beautiful, great playing too man.

  • Thanks a lot

  • Very nice play.I play guitar.i Play this for exam.;-]

  • Best whishes !

  • Very good!

    Congratulations.

    Kelvin Borrero

  • Thanks a lot !

    Val

  • Good game

  • Thanks a lot ;-)

    Val

  • Is it harder to play a lute or a guitar?

I would like to play lute but learning guitar at the moment

  • Lute is a little bit harder because of double strings. But if you play guitar you can also play lute.

    V.

  • Hey man bein watching your stuff for a School project.... love it all. Your great musician :D

  • Thanks ;-)

    Val

  • Does that guitar have nylon or gut strings? Lovely performance!

  • Thanks !

strings are Aquila Nylgut (nylon sounding as gut...)

    V.

  • ich kenns bisschen anders...kanns aber auch;)

  • thanks

    V.

  • Ya ;-)

    V.

  • This is really lovely. You have an interesting right-hand technique - it's almost as if you pluck the strings from underneath - is this a more period/authentic way playing?

  • My technic is lute technic (as I'm first a lutenist...) Playing guitar is just for fun...

But perhaps some people at the pre romantic period could have play like this, who knows...

    Val

  • Nice playing luthval, I'm just working this piece myself and now have a target example to aim at. Thanks!

  • Thanks ;-) Have fun with it !

    Regards

    val

  • So beautiful, thank you!

    JM

  • Thanks a lot ;-)

    Val

  • Vraiment très beau

    Merci Ferdinando

    Cordialement

    Valéry

  • I studied this piece in the carulli's method

    #1 , 2 years ago .......I hated the 0:48 - 0:56 part

  • Hi,

why do you hate this section ? difficult to play ?

The tune is nice anyway ;-)

    Regards,

    Val

  • yes because in the fingering was i-m-i-m-i-m-i-m on the same string while the other fingers work, My master wanted that fingering ,but m-m-m-m-m-m or i-i-i-i-i-i was easier for me.

I like the tune ,only the fingering was bad :)

  • Hi Val

Another great Carulli, thank for sharing

    Regards,

    Anders

  • Thanks Anders !

Best thougth and good lute (and guitar) playing !

    Val

    Bien amicalement, Rosy.

  • Bonsoir Rosy, merci de passer m'écouter ;-)

    Amitiés,

    Valéry

  • Such a joy to listen to 5 Stars

  • Thanks a lot ;-)

    Val (joyful to play too...)

    Amicalement,

    Valéry

  • Hi Valéry,

    an exemplary interpretation again...

    remembers the famous Capriccio C-Major ;-))) ...

    cordial greatings - Siegfried

  • Hello Siegfried !

Thanks for commenting on my little videos ;-)

    How is the theorbo ?

    Val
