I have a different opinion... In my city there is a dojyo of... Hm,koryu Uchinadi,and I really don't think that's practical. And that boxing elements... Please. Not every fighting system with uchi and tsuki ang geri is karate. Doubts about Patrick McCarthy and his skills appears too. Train what you want,but don't call it karate,please.
Everyone ve right to say their own opinion but I don’t think you as a 19 years old, have the right to judge and call into doubt skills and knowledge of Hanshi McCarthy. He has spent all his life to researching, practicing & teaching Have you been practiced MA enough long to ve knowledge to judge someone like him-I don’t think so! Itrain MA nearly 30 y and I've met Hanshi personally and I ve advice for you young man: next time think before you add comments about such respected person as Hanshi.

Looks an awful lot like Shorin-Ryu to me--we do most of these drills in our dojo, albeit with some small variations here and there.

Ok, could you explain us what Karate Really is?
-Jka Shotokan with long, deep stances ans Robocop-like movements?
-WKF (Shotokan) Karate with kangaroo jumping moves
-Kyokushin Karate with the "Boxing-punches"
-Okinawa Karate without Kihon Ido
-Matsubayashi Ryu with a lot of Hip movments?
-Funakoshi Karate with throws, levers, Kobudo ans techniques on the ground?
-VK Karate with Helmets like Daido Juku/Kudo? (Complain that with the Picture of Kenwa Mabuni with safetys on)
