OK, I too find gay intercourse scenes utterly disgusting. I don't hate homosexuals, but seeing two men doing it makes me want to puke. Where's the ignorance in that? I'm straight and it's my nature. I don't think there's something to defend...
Plus the gay scenes in Spartacus are more of a shock factor, since homosexuals are a minority. So yeah, the emotions a straight person experiences are natural!

@rasraziel The response is not "natural," it's based upon the bigoted conditioning in our society. Hetero sex doesn't do anything for me, but I'm not grossed out by it, just bored. If it's not your thing, that's fine & understandable, but to call the expression of someone's sexuality gross or disgusting is to call the people the same. The shock is derivative of that same programming. Being a minority is all the more reason that this sort of stupidity must be countered at every turn.

Bestiality is different: it's about using an animal, unable to consent or refuse, for their own pleasure. As to the other part, if that's your kink, God bless, but it's not anything I, or the bulk of gay people, would ever have any part of. Those who are truly comfortable in their own sexuality aren't grossed out or threatened by anyone else's.
