  • "we are not here to spread out beliefs or promote ourselves"

said while wearing a shirt that promotes them and doing a touch assist thats been proven to not really do anything.

"the surgeons were a bit iffy about me when i got here because of scientology"

you sure its not because you dont have any medical training and wanted to take part in surgery?so much wrong with this report.

  • Has anybody informed the Today Show about the history of the Vulture ministers?

  • I think I'm a jack ass. I think once the video is up for a week it then drops off the recent list. I now its rocket science but it took me a while sorry. I thought something fun was going. Oh well next time. I don't mined admitting I'm wrong shit happends.

  • Hey OpenComments, Did you see that this video done by VM or what ever those guys are called had like 13,000 views and now its back down to like 3000. Something happended. Let me know what you think. Thanks Greg

  • @hotscubagreg

    No I had no idea.

Can you paste the tail end of the URL in the comments here?

  • Scientologists aren't trained in logic at all. It is only about belief. About being sure. The belief is that if you believe something then it is true. The thought system seems to actually be repelled by logic.

According to Hubbard, if you "postulate" something without any doubts or reservations, it must become true.

  • Have you ever read the Logics?

  • Are you guys all paid to put out this extremist anti-scientology propaganda? Come back to reality! Please.

  • Were you paid to harass John Sweeney?

In Scientology, the Clear Cognition is that you mock up your own reactive mind.

They also teach you that in Scientology, what's true for you is true, resulting in objective reality becoming sort of fuzzy as it is based on whatever you believe. Over time, your beliefs are systematically supplanted with the beliefs that they instill in you through training drills.

YOU are the one that needs to come back to reality - because you postulated your own.

  • Oh hai scientologyandme!

You know that picture showing up on your profile and that black propaganda video you released against Anonymous? why is the quality of the alleged bomb threat video of a higher quality than that of youTube? Let's bring up the past again and show everybody the video:

    watch?v=rpvSFg2-DJM

A failed attempt to paint Anonymous as terrorists ... when Scientology manufactures the evidence! HAHAHAHA!

  • Bunch of retards... Scientology is a religion based on a book of fiction about hidden aliens written by some pedophile whack job L Ron Hubbard... Right... We all must be Jedi's. Your all retards.

  • It is a common misconception to believe people join Scientology because of the doctrine of Xenu. People actually come to Scientology hoping for increased intelligence, improved personality, and help in dealing with personal problems (as it advertises itself as a self-help philosophy). Later, if they had paid enough, they learn a system of beliefs based on science fiction stories, infestations of alien spirits and exploding volcanos.

This is the bait-and-switch aspect of the scheme.

  • Though aid agencies from other countries were not allowed to land, the plane got a slot right away—and though the Scientologists had nowhere to stay and nowhere to set up their touch healing tent, they got themselves on the UN list of approved NGOs and were allowed to set up on UN grounds. "But they had no one who spoke Creole, and they brought the weirdness of touch healing into a very superstitious society." They even caused medical hassles by feeding people who were scheduled for surgery.

  • A tipster who traveled to Haiti on a Scientology plane gives Gawker a firsthand account of how the religion is ineptly attempting to help. The "completely unprepared" volunteers planned to buy food once they got there instead of bringing it along, "but there was no food and no water. That was the point," he writes. One girl brought no shoes other than "designer cowboy boots"; a guy who hadn't brought toiletries or food figured he'd pick them up at the Port-au-Prince airport.

  • God damned fucking crooks! And of course there isn't much money for these insane criminals to rook and swindle from the victims, they're trying to get money donated by people ariound the world, that and these insane crooks trying to get photographed sneaking past what police lines there are for public relations efforts. I see that the U. SW. Army has had to ban these insane fuckers from hospitals.

Scientology: the worse human garbage imaginable.

  • How I'm I supposed to rate this video? I want people to see it, but I hate it!

I wrote to Kerry Sanders. Please join me in filling up his e-mail box with appropriate messages:

  • Reporting from Haiti.

As of right now we are being turned away and barred from entry every where we go in Haiti. Our yellow shirts no longer work, and we have taken to sneaking in to relief areas in different shirts so they don't know who we are. So far we have touch assisted dozens of people on camera with real medical teams in the back ground: you can see our publicity effort on our web site. No matter how often we hinder relief efforts, we will be in there selling our services. ARC.

  • Thanks for the post Man, I'm pissed because these guys suppress so much info its crazy. I loved the "comments awaiting approvel" on Scientology VM freaking classic.

  • The only thing worse than being talked about ,,Is not being talked about.

  • John Travolta really did a good interview for the cult that is responsible for the death of his son.

  • All religions are a funny bunch basing life on what MIGHT be.

    Including this one.

  • @mrwuss

Maybe, but at the very least, all other religions are upfront about their beliefs. If you go to any other religion and ask what they're all about they'll tell you. Free of charge. However, in Scientology you don't really learn what the religion is about until you've already invested some 300,000 US dollars into it.

In order for consumers to make a reasoned choice they must have the facts on what they are buying.

  • If Scientology wanted to help quietly, Travolta could have donated 50 million without blinking, and hired another pilot instead of flying there himself.

Some of these Scilon VM's are going to see some traumatic things, and some will goof up or annoy some people with their bogus "touch assists," but Scientology considers their VM's to be expendable. They are the promotion grist so celebs can have a blast in their delusional Scilon world of pretend super powers & sci-fi omniscience.

  • Kerry Sanders really took off his reporter's hat, and drank the Scilon Kool Aid.

Helping quietly? Like with John Travolta and his 707 and all the fanfare that created.

What are they doing there? Scilon spokeszombie Pat Harney is leading the media around, guiding them to healing stories about the ability of a Scilon to tickle some young patient, after coaching her earlier to act like she was in pain.

They'll be there forever, as long as it can be used to suck $ from rich dupes in the cult.

  • Please, Scifags, leave the people in Haiti alone with your quackery. They have to put up with enough bullshit already.

  • Thank you open comments! The Today Show should be ashamed. It's an obvious PR stunt to divert attention away from Rex Fowler and other bad publicity.

  • Pat Harney.....RAEG!

  • How the hell is holding a couple of cans useful?

They are far more useful clearing roads and digging through the rubble.

  • @dangerouslytalented

    Very good question.

A lot of people want to believe in Scientology because it offers an easy answer to what is in fact a complex problem. No one wants to deal with chemical imbalances, mental trauma, and other such subtle variances, when its easier to hold onto two cans, watch a needle move, and go "yep, there's my problem".

  • Tell us ALL how it works then.

Because at the moment, the mainstream attitude towards your technology is that it is the psychological equivalent of dowsing.

  • You can make a vague discription of what the principle is, all the people who are reading this know what an engram is supposed to be, we want to know what holding those cans actually does.

Do you even understand what it is? And why are you still holding cans? Surely with MRIs and stuff, the technology should have advanced to such a stage that it would be so far beyond just holding a couple of cans and using the body as a resistor that the original emeters would be seen as stoneage stuff.

  • "Tell us ALL how it works then."

If you want to know "how it works" watch the videos of George, the OTVIII who is obviously absolutely insane! This cult and it's methods are laughable. They stand in the way of people who can really help.

  • throughsoul...I know that we are probably not smart enough to understand the full power of the "tech", but in layman's terms, could you explain how it is helping those people in Haiti.

  • There is something called science and scientific evidence and your cults "tech" has been proven to be a big fail. There are not thetans, no holes in the time track and no fucking Xenu and specially not DC8's 75 Billion years ago. If $cientology would work, then they had proof and could show proof instead of "experiences" made my brainwashed members!

  • To insult me and reduce my knowledge about $cientology to a South Park episode does show the ethics of a $cientologist very good. You have been a good student of Hubbtard, throughsould. Also good move to ignore that I was talking about science. So I bring it up again. If $cientology would really work, there would be scientific proof showing that. There would be positive empiristic studies instead of the studies that show that $cientology is only CRAP!

  • But prove them wrong and SHOW us all proof that $cientology does really work. Show us your OT Powers. There are even people offering money if you proof that. Show us all that $cientology works and that YOU are in crontrol over matter, energy, space and time! PROOF IT or shut the fuck up with your brainwashed "I studied bullshit so it must work".

  • Its funny how you cry about being insulted after you started this thread with an insult. Accuse others of your crimes much? Ha ha ha.

I don't have to prove anything to you nor will i shut the fuck up. And given your hostility I dont suspect you could accept anything that did not support your slanderous rant.

BTW - Scientology can help you with your attitude problems.

  • Translation: "I have no proof and nobody else has no proof that $cientology works because it doesn't work, so stop asking about proof and let me talk about how awesome I am at studying the bullshit of a Science Fiction writer!"

It's not that you don't want to proof it, YOU SIMPLY CAN'T!!!!

  • Yes, ignore me and ignore that I am asking for proof. The problem is that you can't provide any proof. If you could, you would have done that a long time ago. I am asking for proof and you can't provide any. Accusing me of hatred doesn't change that. If you had proof it would be convincing, all the same how "hostile" I am because unlike $cientology proof is convincing.

  • @throughsoul

Scientologists tend to make what might be called the "Argument from My Own Eyeballs". It seems they're saying that if you don't have any audio and visual footage of an actual event then the likelihood that that event took place should be doubted. If this style of reasoning was ever applied to the legal system convictions of criminals would go through the floor and chaos would ensue because we would be demanding a standard of evidence that is practically impossible to meet.

  • If you'll recall, Scientology was found guilty of FRAUD for making such claims.

You cannot deliver so don't claim you can.

  • Is this how it would go?

    Volunteer Minister- "What happened here?"

Hatian Kid- "My roof fell in and crushed my entire family."

    Volunteer Minister- "what happened here?"

Hatian Kid- "My roof fell in and crushed my entire family."

Hatian kid then smiles, and dances away merrily singing an old Creole classic.

    The End

  • Yea, very funny. I answered your question and you make jokes. No, that's not how it goes, but now I see your interest to know how we can help was rather insincere.

You asked, I did my best to answer in this limited space of 500 characters per comment and your response is to mock.

Well, find out for yourself. Read a book.

  • "Read a book" is the most common argument given by a Scientologist. The problem with that statement:

    (1) We now live in the electronic age, and the best advice a Scientologist can give is to read a book?

    (2) If I wanted to learn about the subject of Scientology, I would read a book or go to their official webpage. If I wanted to learn about people's opinions of Scientology, I would go to both Scientologists and ex-scientologists.

A book says nothing about Operation Freakout/Snow White.

  • "Read a book" is not an argument, its advice.

Orions was originally asking for information on the technology. That is contained in the books and lectures. I don't think that copyrighted information is available on the Internet.

If one wants to know about something the best way is to look in the right place.

If you want to know about the organization and its history, good and bad, then the Internet is a better place. If you want to know the tech the books are a better place to look.

  • Throughsoul, I wasn't mocking. I'm trying to let you understand how anyone not in Scientology would look at this.

If I just lost my home and my family, the last thing I would want is some strager asking me to recall this event over and over. I know you are trained to see this on a deeper level, but a poor Haitian orphan isn't.

  • your in the business of helping people out, is that right, well, how about you send, for free, a copy of your book, "a new slant on llife", to all the unbelievers on here, ok, thanks

  • Oh gee, let me run out and get that for you. Would you like me to get you anything else?

How about being responsible for youself. You want a book, go fucking buy it yourself instead of being a dick with your sarcastic comments.

  • i seen that you said you were an auditor, can you tell me what level you are?ot level and auditor level i mean.

  • I could, but I don't see any reason to do so, why do you care? Are you going to say I should be ________ since Im a ________ and should know better?

Based on your other comments I don't see that you are qualified to evaluate me so I am not interested in giving you data that you can use in the attempt.

  • just wondering, you said that if we wanted info that we should look in the books, i have done so, i just wish to know if you are high enough level to know what i will be talking about in the next questions because they deal with the hco and some other things hubbard wrote to go along with scientiology.

  • I will very likely understand what you plan to talk about.

  • ok, but would still like to know before i move on.and no, what i plan to bring up has nothing to do with what tommy davis finly admitted is part of scientology nor is it about Lisa.its about the hco, the books, the lectures, and related hubbard writings concerning scientology.

  • Okay. I understand you want to know, but I don't give out details of that nature. I have studied much. I will very likely understand the question. I still may not answer the question but if you don't ask it then we'll never know.

So either ask or don't. The only information I give about myself is on my profile, you can read that.

  • well, if i remember right, one is supposed to share their "wins" and if one is proud of how far they have come that to me sounds like it would be a win. but onto the questions.

lets start with a common one, scientology upper management has stated that a person can be a scientologist and a member of lets say the catholic church at the same time, are you aware that that statement they made contradicts hubbard's writings?

  • if this was one of the things you dont wish to answer, i have many more questions and can point out where in hubbard's writings it can be found.

  • Gee, that's nice. You must think I want to play the games condition, or the taking sides or defending "the integrity" of Scientology. Whereas, I am above that level currently closer to a pan-determined viewpoint.

Plus, I didn't favor the flavor of the first question and if you "have many more questions and can point out..."

...and then there is this: people take "writings" out of context to argue a point that often does not support their viewpoint if taken IN context.

    So, I think not.

  • not asking for a defense, just an explanation. instead of just saying im wrong, explain how im wrong like the tech says to.i can show you where hubbard says among other things that the Christianity is low on the tone scale and where hubbard said what should happen to people low on the tone scale.i simply asked if you were aware of the two different stories coming from one group.

  • I hear ya. Im not saying your wrong. I'm saying... often, some people, take things out of context. As in 9 times out of 10 when they are using policy to show some agenda of hate or intolerance.

Its like your trying to drag me into some kind of Scientology vs Christianity conflict which I dont' recognize. They are different religions with differences and similarities.

Again, not interested in the debate.

And in case you didn't understand again, I am not interested in this debate. Okay?

  • ok, not trying to bring up anyone vs anyone, im just pointing out how while the current management is saying one thing and claiming its following hubbard, if you look back, its not. for another example would be suppressive persons in charge of different groups, if you look at how hubbard described how the sp would act and react to things, it seems to match what the current management appears to be doing now.

  • There are a number of differences between current managament activities and LRH policies. I have noticed.

Okay, that should about conclude this thread.

  • only if your wishing to end it, i had other questions though, like, if you were a hubbardist or a miscavigist?as you said there differences.

  • Okay, I'll entertain this line of questioning. I am an adherant to the works of LRH.

By works I mean their intention for application towards an expansion of ability and understanding.

I do not mean alterations of those works, revisions of those works, corruption of those works, etc.

I also don't mean works that were penned in LRHs name written by others.

Its not about power or control or money. Its a technology, its a purpose to a better way of life for one and for all.

  • asking and answering questions is very important to communication and communicating is one of the things that scientology is supposed to be big on. i have to add that you also seem more ok with talking about this then many of the other scientologists i have tried to talk with.

ok then from your answer i take it you are a hubbardist. are you still a member of cos?

  • Im not a Hubbarist, I've never really heard anyone called that before. I am a Scientologist.

There are people who practice Scientology and people that do something else and call it Scientology.

People that do something else are called squirrels in the Scientology terminology. People that do it intentionally to destroy the actual practice of Scientology are called Suppressives.

If DM is doing even half the things that they say then he is an SP.

I wont answer Qs about my membership.

  • its a little term i came up with, basically, if what a person follows is hubbards words from the original lectures and books, than they are a hubbardist, if they follow the changes that were made by miscavage that tommy davis admitted were made during his taped interview with the st. petersburg times, then they are a miscavagist.

i know the term, i just didnt use it because when i call miscavage a squirrel, then i get called a bigot and accused of attacking a religion.

  • and while i dont really care if im called those names or if im accused of that, i just wish to have a civil chat and hear your side of things.

  • any comment on the recent assaults on protesters by scientologists?

  • Assaults? I hadn't heard anything about assaults.

But I will say that some people freak out (including Scientologist) in videos I've seen where when someone is walking backwards and accidentally bumbs into someone on the other side how it is assault.

My reply to both sides is DON'T be such a fucking PUSSY. OMG. And actually, I observe Scientologist freaking out about you touched me thats assault, but both sides do it.

Im sure I'll come across it soon enough.

  • no, this was actual assault, closed fist punching and kicking, then there was the assault in riverside near gold base(golden era productions) where the security guards tackled and beat a non-violent protester on public property claiming it was trespassing.i can show you a few if you like. and yes i agree, there are a few videos where someone may have accidentally backed into the person, but there have been real assaults also.non by anons i seen though.

  • Oh, that assault. I thought you meant something that just occurred. Yea, that was bullshit. The only other assault that I am aware of is that security guard in Nashville. That was bullshit, too.

Im glad I wasn't at either of those, cuz I'd probably be in jail right now. I don't go for that fascist bullshit use of force. I would have intervened and lets just say I'd be a formable opponent.

  • there was one just a couple days ago also in montreal.protest was going on peacfully, then for no reason this guy charges into the group of anons screaming, passing by a half dozen protesters with cams screaming he doesnt like pictures being taken, then trys to rip off their masks swinging at them.there was one or two in hawaii, san fransisco had a couple, one that severely injured a protester's arm. thats just a short list of the ones that were caught on cam though.

  • Thats nice.

  • there was also the false terrorist charges that ken moxon tried against a protester charged with in Vegas by falsifying posts made on the internet.

  • Scientology is a predatory and destructive cult. This is advertising for them. The cult lies about receiving the FDNY Medal of Valor for their work after 9/11. Im sure they will lie about this tragedy as well.

  • Those volunteer ministers are going to be very very angry when, a few years from now they find out the truth about the cult they are providing great PR for.

After the 7/7 bombings in London- the "volunteer minsters" were actively stopping traumatised people from getting pychological help so that they could push their quackey on vulnerable people.

Want to help the relief effort? Give to the Red Cross or Oxfam who work whether the cameras are there or not.

  • IT'S A BEAUTIFULL DAY !

  • Just more of that $cientology "practicing medicine without a license. I like how he said "very sketchy" when they saw us.

    Sketchy

    1) someone or something that just isnt right.

    2) the feeling you get the morning after usuing a lot of drugs, most commonly associated with extacy.

    3) something unsafe

    4) someone or something that gives off a bad feeling

i dunno, his story sounds kind of sketchy

i cant come in to work today, im sketchy

    $cientology is sketchy!!!

  • Organizations and people are two different things.

Helping people is a human right not exclusive to any belief system. It is something many do all thier lives without looking for praise, thanks or publicity.

I admire and respect anyone who wants to help, but don't cause harm or distress. Don't leave once the cameras have gone and don't publicise unless for raising money that directly contributes.

    Hugs

    Greebly

  • LOL touch assists! They should mention how super stupid that is compared to real medical help.

  • @throughsoul

I don't know where you got the impression that we think the Volunteer Ministers themselves are not good people. This was never about promoting hate.

But when a corrupt organization sends these well-meaning people for photo opportunities and thus for the purposes of PR in order to make a dangerous cult seem like do-gooders, it's wrong. The cult of Scientology has willingly engaged in abuses that they only try and cover up with front groups like the Vulture Ministers.

  • VMs are mostly decent people, mindfucked by a proven criminal cult, following the BS of their long dead convicted criminal messiah..

    tinyurl(.)com/ck6g9a

  • The point is not whether these are good people or not, I'm sure they are very sincere in their desires to help. But I do fault Scientolgy and any other church that uses a disaster like this as a public relations/recruitment tool.

  • Oh so they're sincere in their help but use a disaster as a recruiting tool. Which is it ? Do you actually realise you're contradicting your self there, or did you need some help.

  • Don't be an idiot. I said these poor schmuck's sent to Haiti are probably sincere in wanting to help, but the church itself is using this as a PR tool. If the church was really interested in helping, they would train the VM's to do more than hand out bottles of water and doing "touch assist".

  • This poor kid has absolutely NO medical experience, and now due to his lack of training he has possibly subjected himself to any number of diseases by cutting himself. If the CO$'s real motive was to help, then you would think they would at least give this people some type first aid training (other than that ridiculous "touch assist").

  • I wonder if they'll even allow the kid to take the medications to help prevent these diseases-

All I can do is hope he doesn't become another statistic in the preventable deaths Scientology has had a hand in...

  • "Plus, I know Nicole. We served together for a week during the Katrina disaster. She's especially good with the children."

Isn't that the same Nicole that helped Ellen Bennett to STEAL the radiated water and give it to people in Haiti? ^^
