oh thought I better mention how you pressurise the room to create a positive draught pressure to the chimney, just open at least one door or window that is level or below the location of the fire, this will make sure the chimney draws the smoke up the chimney and not into your room just for those of you that dont know.
typical yank prat! I know how to light fires I have been doing it for years blah blah blah what a load of shit, well I aint been lighting fires for years but I have made a living out of fighting them for the past 18 years and I can tell you one very important step that you have not mentioned, unless you pressurise the room in which the chimney exits you will end up with all that smoke coming into your room due to the draught pressure in the chimney being negative, smoke is very combustable idiot
or you could just get some fire lighters use one and light it with a lighter or a match nd that saves you time and is easierstill watever you want to do
Nice fire, Mr. Rogers! Actually, when I read "Fireplace Wizard" I was expecting to see real life Floo Network travel...

What if it's freezing outside. Do you still crack a door or window to create a positive draft?

Best Swoo Ever!!! 2 Swoos are at the begining like they look like the twin towers but at the end, it becomes all in one making it very bright...
A swoo means that you can't see the top of a flame or the flickering of it..
