  • i wish all car manufacturers/cars had a marti report 30 years later.

  • beautiful

  • Perfectly executed video.

  • shes absolutely beautiful

  • where did you find this car this is amazing

  • look here you stupid hick. bondo is used to fill dents. no more no less. the spoiler is made out of fiberglass and is used with bondo to give it that streamlined shape. i patch metal to metal. and i use the right spec of steel. i know how Ford operates. i have relitives that worked for Ford back in the day. and Carrol Shelby. his cars were 1967 and before. this one was built by Ford, and is more of a flashy car than a racing car. i had a 1967 Shebly GT 350 before asshole. i know!!

  • pretty good condition for a original

  • @hass5006 no shit eh? what an awesome starting point for a resto :)

  • It would be at an auction. I would pocket the money and move on. Or just get it running and drive it around.

  • poor cat why u dont fix that beauty :-(

  • i would redo the bodywork. and repaint it another factory color. Black with white racing stripes. thats the only thing i would do. everything else on the cars is Beautiful!!

  • @Darkfloyd73 and you sir would be an idiot ha ha even tho its a less then attractive color its worth more 100% original restore her to her former glory could go for 75 to 110 grand messing with it would destroy its value you have a true original car restore!!!

  • @Darkfloyd73 if you would repaint that car an other color.....you would be a complete idiot and would know shit about cars.....

  • @carcajouxx i bet to differ.if you have evr watched any barret jackson auctions?? most shelby cars like this 1968 gt500KR, go for just as much or more as an original. in fact this in not the most popular color for this car. so repainting it black would add value. along with restoring the cracking fiberglass rear spoiler and filling some dents in with bondo. its shows that you care about this car, and it adds value. keeping it this way wil de-value it and it will eventually rot away.

  • @Darkfloyd73 yeah, bondo... Thats how you fix a car? WTF have you been smoking?

  • I think I'm going out and buy some barns. Lucky guy.

  • Hard to say though

  • All yall people that just want to restore everything without a shine need to learn a thing or two. Sometimes cars are worth more as they sit as long as they will run, especially with original decals and such on them.

This is a less desirable color, but for what it is it is worth it is likely more valuable restored because of the nature of it.

  • needs paint

  • Beautiful just a few finishing touches

  • Thats a really nice car..

  • Is it worth more all origional or fully restored?

  • Haha. Bet you were all sweaty and red in the face when you posted that, too, huh? Here's the moral of the story here: this dude has an AMAZING find here, and "morons" on the internet get to fight over weather or not it's cool. I love it. And yes, you can get good gas mileage out of an old FE. You're right saying I should have spell checked my response; you're incredibly common to be high and mighty about it.

Repeat after me: first. world. problems.

I like this car; you obviously don't.

  • Sweet!

  • @dalotel

...Any mechanic worth his salt knows how to mod the motor to not need leaded gas. and 100 octain? In a 427 Ford? Check your facts; that motor doesn't need anywhere near that, unless it's a drag engine. Oh, and it probably gets about 13 mpg. No smog and tall gears. That's about as good as an average midsize v6 SUV from the '90's.

  • @unknowncubicle

You might want to invest in spell check. Octain? You can't even copy from my comment correctly! LOL! Mod the motor? It's an engine and the modification is hardened valve seats, which then takes away from the pure original value of the rust bucket, now doesn't it? Back when the car was new, that was what the owners manual stated the car in fact needed, having 10.5:1 compression. There is NO 427 THAT GETS 13 MPG unless you push it off a cliff. Keep speculating you moron.

  • Just another Mustang that you can't even afford to gas up and drive. Come to think of it, you can't buy leaded 100 octane fuel anymore except airports. Oh well, I guess you found a real anchor, broke ass Walmart paychecks aren't going to get you anywhere close to your dreams.

  • @dalotel Dude you a fuckin ignorent ass. They make lead additive and it will run on 94. It's not a race car engine stupid. What's up with the walmart comments too? Also i can't believe you could call that car a anchor. What the hell is wrong with you. Anyway in many circles that car is worth more that way it sits and that's not just another Mustang. I'm sure your just trying to start shit because you don't have a life and just cruz you tube all day and cut people down. Looser...

  • @dalotel bet you drive a when it runs a dodge neon or maybe a pacer.

  • WOW

  • Hopefully it will stay in this condition. It's only original once.

  • pretty cool till i saw the automatic shifter X(

  • SWEET THANKS FOR TAPING EVEN THOUGH ITS NOT URS

  • If this was mine I would make sure it was road-worthy and drive it as is, me loves a rattish rod and this is just freakin' perfect.

  • Yes, it needs work.. But perhaps it should just be left alone. Or if someone does work on it, hopefully they do not use bondo. Take the time to do this restore correctly with ALL Motorcraft original parts.

  • What song? Also, have to say it's actually good condition, but needs a lot of work.

  • I was hoping you were going to show it coming out of the barn. Maybe I should put my '87 Grand National in a barn and forget about it. Honestly, good video. What a hell of a find, huh.

  • the only thing id touch is that shattered rear lip ....... never know what kinda critters will sneak in and do something .... uncle had to help a buddy move out all his cars in the garage carefully cuz a damn mouse family made its nest in the rear bumper of his 64 buick!

  • That car needs a nice set of dubs, a NOS kit, and a rear wing!

  • @rockhead261 nice troll there... what are you 9?

  • @ITS4390 Troll? No... sarcastic prick? Yes. If I wanted to troll this vid I'd say something about it being a fake Shelby and how they didn't come in that color.

  • Great find! Fix that baby up and she'll look amazing.

  • GOD BELLSSSSSS AMERICAA!!!!!!!!!

  • a good hotrod will always show its age, she is perfect, there is only so many original cars and its only that way once

  • Thanks for leaving it alone!

  • What a gem! I wonder how many of these are still sitting.

  • wwwwoooooooowww!

  • beautoful. the bettina adds sex appeal. however if it was mine id give it abit of a clean up, no restoration, just a buff and fix up the badges.

  • Restored = 1 of a million

Unrestored = one of a kind

RESTORATION RUINS CARS! do not restore a car unless the situation calls for it!

  • @SeberHusky Disagreed. A car is made to run, not to last in a Museum. Have some respect for its life, get it back to the road, heal it, you can even rebuild it with modern parts... but for god's sake, don't let it rust or suffer from not being taken care of!

How can you say that restoration ruins cars?

  • How much? Awsome, but I'm never so sure about the fabled Barn Finds~Thanks for the vid~

  • omg you found elinore

  • @2ndRCHAret no he didnt Eleanor was a 73 Mach 1 !!!!! God do none of you idiots realize that movie was a remake?

  • @notanova it was a 73 fastback not a mach 1 need to watch the movie a lil closer car had flat hood

  • now...blow people away at stoplights :D....while the ricer honda fags will be calling this a beater pos

  • @bad65stang Just because a car is a honda doesn't mean it's a ricer, even this shelby can become a ricer, if it had silly neon lights, rediculous body kit, and spoiler.

  • @AuroraGw2 i didnt say all hondas were ricers i said ricer honda fags ie the riced out hondas on the road...not the clean ones

  • This should be in a museam, Very beautiful. A real prize! Anyone who says it needs to be restored is just a jealous prick. because this is worth tons of money.

  • NICE!

  • hell of a find

not crazy about the wood grain and the automatic but a shelby is a shelby

  • I found a German UBOAT,, in my Grand Father Barm,,,in Oklahoma ,, its was under a Hay stack...for the last 80 years :)

  • Okay... How often do you find a 68 in this great of shape? Seriously... Think about it. Keep her original, definitely. You obviously have the original dealers tag and all numbers match, I assume. If you repaint it, fix upholstery, or do anything... That original tag means nothing. Sweet car, thanks for posting. And as for you olbboysaint, when you find a 68 stang in this good of shape, you're free to restore it. But give this guy a break.... It's not even his car and it's in excellent shape. I'

  • that car is worth some dollars. even in its current state..

  • Destroy it in a movie!!!!

  • You only find this way one time!! You find them restored 100 times over worth more this way then investing 200,000.00 Just wash it make sure it's Mec, fine and injoy this the Mustang I'll never be able to a(FORD) I Envy you GREAT FIND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Aint she something sweet. I bet she can still ripp it down the street.

  • if that was over here in england since the 60s there would be nothing but rusted chasis left . leave it as is :D

  • song sucks

    badass car tho

  • Keep it original. You can see restored cars 24/7.

    Outstanding muscle!!

  • @tcbtn1 I second that, amazing shape for original.

  • i want it

  • What is the name and artist of the background song? Great car by the way......

  • :( i cryed rigtht when i seen the front of that car cause they dont make good muscle cars any more

  • Wow, I often wonder if cars found in undisclosed locations that have sat for decades were stolen back in the day and left. Nice car though, I would leave it as it is and drive it a little ( after changing the tires and rims of course) pretty cool

  • @burnoutking1971 Interesting thought!

  • @otispitbull Thanks, I only say that because I recently cam across a motorcycle that the um current owner admitted to stealing back in 1970. This motorcycle sat hidden in his barn untill this year, he is currently making an effort to find the owner since he can't sell it. Interesting story. Also found a car built in 1986 (79 Malibu) complete with mono cromatic paint. Owner is in jail for life and the family is trying to sell the car only to find out it is stolen.

  • the idea of restoring a car that is not run down is pointless !

  • I know restoring a cool car is a great idea, but i would just like to leave a good condition original car alone because it realy goes up in value in the later years but i wouldn't because it would be nice to relive the good old days and smell that old new car smell again when you first open the door and remeber your child hood and freedom you wish you still had back in the good old days when the USA used to be about freedom and Big Block V8s romed the streets that ran off of leaded gas =)!!

  • Automatic:(

  • @OldboySaint

First of all I can't restore this damn car, since it's not mine. I just posted the video of a fellow members car. I guess this makes me different?

  • @customchris07 I wasn't talking to you, was talking to the owner of the car. People have found a hell of a lot cooler and rarer cars in barns and they restored them. This is just a lazy way to have a "cool" car.

  • Comment removed

  • @customchris07 How does it run? Have you seen her roll?

  • @customchris07 even if it was yours why restore something tats all original just clean itup

  • @customchris07 steal it from them an restore it

  • @flamingflattier Then he can bring it to the club same club the owner is in!

  • @OldboySaint you shall go to hell and lick the devils butthole for the foul words u say!

  • @sparkle69ize I can only hope!

  • @OldboySaint to you mother fucker that car waould be decrease in value by like 50%

  • @399oly No, no it wouldn't. You might want to invest in English classes, though.

  • I cried a little....

  • It's good to know that some people in the world love to keep these kind of cars in original condition, instead of adding pathetic looking DUB edition wheels, or something of the kind...

  • Comment removed

  • I am not sure of the year but my guess is around 67-69...but theres a blue shelby about 3 miles from me sitting in a garage covered with all the normal garage bullshit...mop, buckets, boxes...what a waste..

  • what is song this video ??

  • I would love to restore this car. I understand that a car can only be original once, but being that I was born 20 years after these car were made I want to feel the next closest thing to owning one of these brand new.

  • i have two of those with original 5000 miles sitting in my garage

  • only a fool would restore/change this car, these comments show youtubes filled with them, haha

  • There's a red 68 Shelby GT500 convertible near me. I could tell when the guy finished the restoration by the 200ft of tread left on the highway in front of his house. It's even an automatic which is rare... (a bit of a waste) but I'd still want it lol.

  • Why dont you show us pics of her restored ???

  • id drive and use the car untill the tires fall off, but that aint gonna happen im flat broke ,lost all my money in canada, and now stuck in shit england, nice to see,i was told they drive like shit, but still nice, shame cars like these are out off the reach off normal people

  • that is one sweet ride

  • if cars could talk i bet she be telling us about her life in a barn and ehy she was put there

  • i know exactly where a 1967 shelby gt 500 is in some guys barn, back in the 80's my dad offered him 60,000 cash and the guy declined. my dad wants to go offer him 90,000 for it and it doesnt even run

  • Music's name please.

  • It was probably in the barn because the owner got sick of working on it all the time. He went and bought a Chevy and just forgot about it . The way people put Carol Shelby up on such a high platform, this thing would probably sell to a "collector" for a million bucks.

  • Car looks like shit. Paint the thing for god sake! "Its original right down to the shit stain in the seat", says the dip shit owner. Crush that piece of crap or paint it. There were only 4 models with a shit stain in the seat, how dare you want to clean it off!

  • i'd paint that green and pretend to be steve

  • I hope it gets restored if it hasn't been already

  • a beautiful car whether restored or not wish cars were still made like this.

  • amazing condition for an original car,

    leave it as is

  • If I found this car I keep it

  • Fuck it I'd restore that beauty

  • i don"t get how you call it a barn find so you just found it a stole it out of a old barn?

  • @myhomeNZ

They saw it in a barn found the owner to said barn and asked if they could purchase the car. Barn owner allowed them too and walla.

  • Leave it alone...period.

  • Some cars just look better unrestored. You may not see it, but the condition it is in tells of its history, every bump and scratch has a story, it gives it character. And for what classic muscle cars are known for is character. Picture it driving through the vast american countryside with the sun setting in the background...wounldn't that be beautiful

  • I still think it needs painted, i could care less if thats how it was found. if it would look better painted and restored to original condition I say do it

  • She is a beauty

  • Chill on the contrast lol.. sweet car tho.

  • Recently discovered a complete set of 15 inch hubcaps, for a 1968 Cobra Shelby. In the basement of a very old ladys house, she said I could have them, from what I understand she took them off the car before it was stolen in the mid 70's. they are for sale, what would they be worth?? they must be rare.

  • Not bad shape for a barn find. That's just a term by the way, it doesn't mean it was actually in a barn, although it could have been. I would probably sand out that rust spot on the quarter panel and primer it or something-just to keep rust from spreading, other than that, I would leave it.

  • Still...a sweet interior!

  • Ford ~ frequently -Out- Run- by -Datsun hahahaha take that ford freaks !!!!

  • i relly hope someone takes care oh this beast !

  • I hope this car is in good hands!!!!

  • i think it's cool in the condition it's in myself. i just bought a '71 Z28 i found in a guy's garage, when i went to look at another Camaro he had for sale. it's got beaucoup rust in the qp's and lower fenders, and no seats, but fired right up when i put a battery and new gas in her. since i don't have the coin to restore her to original glory, i think i'll buff it out, get some seats and 4 new tires and drive her the way she is. some thinhgs are just better left alone..

  • yes i know were an all orignal 67 gt500 is sitting completely untouched the hood got burned up in a fire in a seperate building but its sitting in the shed in the corner it has not moved in over 30 years.

ps. its a red red car

  • yes i know were a all orignal 67 gt500 is sitting completely untouched the hood got burned up in a fire in a seperate building but its sitting in the shed in the corner and still has the stickers in the air cleener but has not mved in over 30 years.

  • Car porn!

  • @URanInTheUglyForest 60's car porn

  • Seems to have had some minor body repair(?) at the passenger side rear quarter panel at 1:20-1:23 small circle area of Bondo can be seen...I'm impressed those Poly Glass tires are not cracked, must have been stored on jack stands, front tire looks very clean with no signs of being flat left sitting for years. Engine shows some none stock hoses/cap, but all this may have happened right in the late 60's, who wouldn't change a few things here and there anyway...but then, it's not 100% original.

  • Foursome reasone, I would feel like it would be wrong to give it a pint job.

  • @EdwardPack1988 it would be VERY wrong!

  • I've seen this car in person...there's just somthing about it that makes it ok not to be perfect, Its a shelby an unrestored shelby its just like a time machine looking at it as it was in 68 and the fact that she's 43 years old and still looks this well is enough to just leave it alone I'm so tired of these over restored auction queens and elenore replicas im sure my car will be a pepsi can in 43 years they just dont make them like that anymore.

  • Do you want to sell this car? I would make you the deal of a lifetime! Let me know and we could go from there! Thanks, Panhead Rob

  • are u going to redo it ?

  • AAAAAHHHH what a car! Hope your choice is a conservative restoration....

  • that car deserves a restoration

  • @beammark Egad, No! Thank you to the owner for not restoring this car. They're only original once!

  • @drewdane40 ya but you can restore it to original! nothing after market just make it like it was when it came out of the factory ya know?

  • @beammark Well, you're talking about restoration vs restification, neither of which will produce an original car. When the world was sane, an original unrestored car held its value far better than a restored car. The current fad is to restore cars that have a aged at all but a true car lover understands that a 40 year-old car isn't supposed to look like it just rolled out of the factory. Some cars have been abused over the years, and can't be harmed by restoring them, but this isn't one of them.

  • @drewdane40 i don't get your logic . i like to restore vs buy and let sit. I don't understand having a car if you can't get enjoyment out of it so i would never buy this car because it is too rare to drive but i think it should be made like new again thats what will bring back memories but each to his own i don't own it so its not my choice. at least its in good hands

  • beautiful car O_O

  • Dam I bet if you pulled up to school in that back then you'd be getin all the chicks

  • cool find and please dont let chip foose mangle that masterpiece. No gay ass 22's

  • Rat Rod Shelby!!

  • awesome condition for what you see getting pulled from a barn!

  • my dad has a original 67 gt 500 he bought in 69 after returning from Vietnam. He paid 2000 for it and my grandfather told him he was crazy spending that much on a used car. I'm 40 with 2 younger brothers, 28 and 25. My dad won't let us near it. None of us have ever driven it. I did however get a ride or 2 as a kid. lol

  • that car is dope

  • elonore in progress

  • nice car. I can appreciate wanting to leave it original, but personally, I'd save up and do a ground up/rotisserie restoration. The numbers ahve to be all matching. 3-4 years ago, that car, restored, would have went for close to 200 grand.

  • in that condition, maybe in another 42 years it would be worth restoring. i think the interior looks incredible for it's age.

  • amazing

  • im a kid and i want a '67 g.t. 350 but i love it

  • I would leave it as is just replace missing parts and fix that crack on the spoiler and of course make sure its running great!

  • Well, there's your proper documentation for the next Barrett-Jackson or Russo-Steele Auction! :D

  • the interior is FLAWLESSSSSSSS D:

  • even if it is an automatic IM JEALOUS!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Wow such a beautiful part of history. I wouldnt restore that if I was paid to. The farthest I would go is to buy a few missing letters on the hood and trunk. Other than that, that thing is amazing!!!

  • ...very nice...i would clean it up and keep it as original as possible...i dont like ppl that over modify classic cars that turn out to look like a frankenstein monster...

  • I love this year Impalla!!! Hard core man!!

  • thats what I call a beaut!! ♥

  • wow great find

  • @MisterPeetBull Fag, gonna meet your boyfriend again tonight?? I know about your homosexual tendencies

  • @MrCorwing82 your a fag dude it makes you sound gay as fuck coming on here talking about cock! get a life bitch

  • man lucky find
