How to Set a Custom URL for Facebook Page

Thank you - an update from what is contained in the video is that many pages do not now need a minimum of 25 likes to secure your URL. Once you have set the URL it cannot be changed. You will have to start a new page if you want a different URL. Only exception to this is a copyright infringement situation.

Thanks for 'getting my back' you've now made this crystal clear I'm sure.

One extra point, now that Facebook allows us to interact on the site "as a page" - you still need 25 people ie seperate 'profiles' in individual names to like your page before you can set the Vanity URL (or the new term 'aliases')

Yep you need 25 likes before you can get set the URL. Facebook gives you a message to say your page is not eligible to set a name if you have less than 25 people like your page.

In case you still can't get your head out of your ass i will write it in this comment:

You can't change the URL for your page unless you have at least 25 fans.

And in simple English:

You need 25 fans.

Its a good tip, plus facebook pages are getting lots of new features, similar to regular facebook profiles. The video I watched was more to the point tho only 2 minutes on asknorb

@TheVarietyGuy - you need to get 25 people to 'Like' you page before it is eligible for a custom Page Name. Suggest the page to your friends and feel free to post a link here as well to help get your first 25 'fans'.

When I do it, it says "'PageName' is not eligible for a username at this time. In the future, 'PageName' will be able to set a username. Why does it say that and how long will i have to wait.?

@Rawaraii are you logged into you Facebook account. I have found this can happen when FB is running slowly. Try again and let me know how you go.

@RFT15ify This video shows you have to set the URL that you type in to get to your Page on Facebook. You cannot change your Page NAME after you have created it. The only way to do this is to start a new page but then you will need to ask all of your fans to 'like' the new page for you.

@CheapPanamaVacation This message means that the name you are choosing for your custom URL has to be atleast 5 letters or numbers in length. Fro example you can't use CPV for your page name but you could use CPVacations etc

You cannot change your page name after you have created it. The only way to do this is to start a new page but then you will need to ask all of your fans to 'like' the new page for you.
