I hate how ignorant people are when trying to compare the graphics on the console to the PC. It's the same engine running the game, the only difference there will ever be is a higher res, better fps, and subtle tweaks to make the game look slightly better if you've got a good rig. If you don't have the money to build a gaming computer, stick with your console of choice, you're not missing much.

Mostly correct, except for that most games have a native resolution of 720p, it doesn't matter how accurate your screen is as long as it's 720 or higher.

Though it seems as if we found the equivalent GPU to the one of the 360's.

Kind of true, but you're bascially suggesting that even on the PC, games run best on a 720p res, which isn't true as you notice a performance gain from downgrading your resolution. Games on consoles are based upon 4 basic resolution types based upon the kind of TV you own. Having a monitor and gaming on the PC, there's no set resolution considering most modern monitors scaleability.

The only difference between DX9 and DX10 i've seen so far is there's an underwater explosion with fire, which is technically not possible anyway.... and the blast door at 53 seconds bends and distorts from the extreme water pressure

Ive seen some changes. They are barely noticeable, and really hard to spot. But i did see a comparison, and with stuff like water, and smoke, they kind of like melt into walls and stuff (only little parts, and not a big difference). With DX10, they run off every edge smoothly. Graphics were identical, but physics were also a slight bit better too!

Dx10 is integrated into Vista and has a quite different structure than dx9 (from what i saw in sdk), so older windows versions are not compatible with it. Its Vista exclusive im afraid. Btw Crysis runs excellent on GT8800, although in bit lower res, 1024x768 in Very High settings ^^
