  • I met this God on friday!

  • Ok, for all those producers that is reading this post.. Im creating a playlist, specificly for the producers showing how they create their tracks and what equipment that is being used. So.. Send me a friend request and send me your videos! Talented producers only! Not to sound shallow or anything, but if it doesnt sound good, im sorry, i cant add the video to my collection. This is free exposure for you. Show the world your skills!

  • YO SMFH...SO UNDERRATED!!!!!!

  • I think just at regular speed it woulda been hotter...BUMMD

  • The old Jay-z woulda killed this..

  • fire

  • OOOOOOOO shit that's so dope

  • I can honestly say Will-Ski (dope MC/producer) is a Hip Hop Icon and I'm not ashamed to say I idolized this cat since '86 from the Rockingham, NC days. He truly inspired a brother when local inspiration was few and far between.

  • thats how the fuck you sample.

  • two thumbs up!!

  • yeaa thats the shit!!

  • Yeah that looks easy but i know it takes time to get to that point thanks for the demo off to the lab i go. Any tips for those just getting started im all ears? Stay making hits hip hop needs it.......

  • hi i accidently deleted one of my project is there a way of retrieving it?

  • Thats HArd Ski Keep That FirE Goin

  • searching for my nigga skibeats!!

  • That was fantastic!

  • for al of those who want the sample.......... Space - prison

  • fuck yea thumbs up. ski beatz delivers.

  • How do u speed up a sample ounce it"s loaded in the MV

  • what sample is that from sounds like a movie

  • That was hot. But dont be fooled people!

Just cus it looks simple putting together doesnt mean anything. You have to have an ear, to know whats going to sound good with what. Pitch, sample arrangment, effects, everything.

Im just mentioning this, cus alot of cats who dont like sampling, they think its easy or non creative.

But that is so untrue! You did it again Ski! Much respect!

Feel free to listen to my Michael Jackson beat tribute!

  • @Mocredible word up

  • @Mocredible damnit that comment was on the money.

  • @toughlovebeatz Nodoubt man!

  • @Mocredible Yes definitely...I have to really put in all my effort into doing my samples - and even my original productions....And u have to also know how to master it all

  • @kenitrad6932 I hear you man. I know its no easy task.. And it takes alot of time to get it to sound right. I also noticed, a lot of people bragg about how fast they can make a track too. And it really means nothing. I real talented producer, will take their time to make it sound right and listen to it multiple times different days, just to see what needs to be taken out or added.

  • @Mocredible Yezzurrr....U gotta get it perfect...It should definitely be quality over quantity

  • who told u its not right thing to do. Sampling is like another genre of composing. Sometimes I be feeling that starts from scratch is way easier. Imagine you make the beats that how u want it with the song that already made. Not easy as u think because the method of making song by sampling is much different than start from nothing. but sometimes u just got it so easy in short time. Like some says sampling might be easy, but its not easy to make ILL BANGERS

  • what's that sample from???????

  • The reason hackers go for PC'S IS BECAUSE they are using MAC'S OR maybe they are not smart enough to put a virus on a MAC....make u wonder hunnnnnnnnn

  • As A producer you've just got to use what works for u or whatever is in the budget. Yeah by the way thatz a good sample

  • damn i love the mv

  • i hate mv's

  • and mv's hate you

  • definitely a hot ass beat Ski, keep grinding the hits man.

  • I love my MV-8800. Just simply amazing! Hey, if anyone wants to swap songs for the sake of learning, send me a message. I like R&B music.

  • is the mv compatible with software

  • Hi Joker,

This is me wasnt4me. To answer your question, yes. The MV-8800 is compatible with software. You can use Pro Tools, Reason and Garage Band. There are others as well. MV-8800 converts your songs to WAV format files after you go through the Mastering. I personally use a MAC for music. There is also an R-Bus that you could connect directly to your computer, but the R-Bus runs around $365 to get one. One last thing, I do like your mic allot, looks like a great tool. Peace.

  • thanks a lot

one more thing im thinking about getting a new pc or mac for a small studio which do you think would better for a studio and for general school stuff going college pretty soon so i want something that can be sturdy on both music and school.

    once again thanks a lot.

  • Psh, hands down a MAC. No questions or any thought needed on that one..

  • yea why's that?

  • Well Pcs Suck, they are filled with viruses and they are set up wack . Every Good software music program was either made for Macs or it is just easier to use on mac. I would say 99 percent of the music industry uses mac. I dont even know what good studio you go to and dont see a Mac in the control room. Studios dont use Pcs hahaha its a no brainer man

  • Yea I bought a laptop at bestbuy and it came with 160 viruses standard. They just fill em up with viruses these days. You sound like a fuck twit.

  • lmao

  • lmao

  • lol

  • nothin is wrong with a pc. yea you can get viruses , just limit yourself to how much porn you download. but pcs get the same software. i would say a mac if you don't mind spending over 1100 dollars but pcs are just as good and much cheaper

  • lol

  • Don't use Internet Explorer to browse the internet and get a good anti virus and you should be fine. Macs get less viruses because hackers/whoever who make viruses know nobody really uses Macs therefore the virus will effect the most people if written for PC.

  • lol@how much porn u download

  • sample city

  • Its really all about the sounds for sure like he said. If you need any samples for your MPC or MV, I have over 1900 titles in all formats-akai-emu-wav-acid loops-etc and also 750gb hard drives full of sounds. Theres also a 750gb Program Drive for both Mac and PC with all the best RTAS-VST-AU instruments out.

Email me at pcosxtech @ yahoo for the list.

  • where is that sample from?can u give me the real song name and artist? thx

  • nice beats

  • I wish someone would post this mv-8800 making other types of music.... like maybe some happy hardcore!!!!

  • fucking classic,im sold,im buyin 8800 like now

  • dont do it buy an mpc 2000xl for like a quadrillionth of the price im saving you alot of hassle trust me iv bin there and done that

  • the MV-8800 is a beast....get used to it and you will love its use....the mpc200xl only has 96ppqn while the MV has 480...which means if you play piano or some other instrument without quantize...you can get it to sound more realistic. the quantize parameters on the mv are unrivaled. watch the video on rolands website about the quantizing....simply amazing

  • word, if you can get the money, get a roland or a emu. i rock the 2000xl, and dont get me wrong it fuckin rules, but if you can afford something better, do it

  • absolut right. i get my in two days. im so excited.

  • HOTT! cant wait for the lp

  • Did you know Jedi Mind Tricks just used this same sample.

They used it for "Tis The Season".

  • so do u have to hook a Beat Machine up to anything else besides the socket...i need 2 now.

  • Monitor speakers. A mixer would be great too for mixing and mastering.

  • meks u wonna fukin spit like crazy, wota beat

  • so ill

  • send it to weezy!! ur fuking funny mate, thats a wu tang heater waiting to happen

  • damn...i have mad respect for those big time producers who show us their ways

  • can we say skills nice work

  • lui blonco beat right there son

  • whats the name of the sample?

  • naw FUCK DAT ,DATS A WU TANG BEAT RIGHT THERE!

  • From the Jeffersons? She's dead, I think.

  • damn dude you and jay needa hook up and make another album....

  • rediculous sample. fire beat

  • ive played a side by side comparison,,,to me its not the functions of the machine its the feel,,the roland pads just dont feel right

  • yeah the pads feel like the mpc1000 pads, i was expecting a different feel but its still a dope machine regardless

  • this is sick nigga you have very talent my homeboy

  • xaxaxa o flwros de 8a exei pote agio panw sti malakia pou ekane gamw to xwrio tou tin ameriki

  • ANTE RE VLAKA XORTOFAGE

  • xaaxaxaxxaaxaxaxax

  • eisai fanta

  • the 2000 yes, the 5000 will put up a worthy fight

  • You shoulda let the beat ride, my dude! Shit is hot.

    -Harlem, USA

  • Only newbies think an mpc gives you an edge.

They are all capable of the same quality, be it an mv, mpc, or a pc with an audio interface+midi controller.

The difference that can matter is in workflow, and features.

Ski Beatz obviously found the tools that work best for him.

  • Exactly, it's not the tools, it's the user. All samplers/sampling workstations are basically the same thing implemented differently. Marley Marl made some of the most classic beats of all time by manually cueing up and playing back into a Korg Digital Delay. All the most expensive and newest gear is useless if you don't have the chops.

  • wat sample is that , shit is crazy anyone know?

  • personnaly i just feel the MV being more musicaly oriented...

  • It ain't what you use, it's how you use it. Ski is crazy with the beatz keep it up man.

  • to all the real muscians who are reading this stupid discussion, please note that it has nothing to do with what machine you use. you are not hot because you have an mpc or an mv. garbage in garbage out. so, please don't think either of these machines make you dope or like my man said "pro" enough. this is so stupid.

  • hummm apex productions(i get money by 50 cent), rza, ski, just was an original user, jazzy jeff, jermain dupri. and you mean to tell me that you judge what's hot by who uses it? like i said this isn't worth the argument.

  • Once again i got to salute ski for this beat i listen it everyday

  • pro enough? what? i don't even want to carry a verbal spat with you. that is by far the dumbest thing i have ever heard. pro enough? punk? wow yeah, i better quit because i'm dumbing myself down with this. your an idiot. period.

  • hm ok im dumb Just Blaze, Heatmakerz, B.cox, Def Jef, Buckwild they are all dumb too the all industry is dumb cause they dont want to change for the better, if that machine was so good as you say why doesnt anny top producer uses it?

  • Besides Ski who is a great producer tell me who uses the mv?

  • Jermain Dupree

  • Jermaine Dupri

  • make a search here on youtube search''mv8800/8000'' the only thing that will appear besides ski are beginners who dont know nothing about this like you then search''MPC4000'' well...kayne blaze...bla bla..:):):)

  • Beginners ....na.. personally my vids are done to help newbie mv users....its not in the machine its in the person....dont sleep

  • whatup madman

  • chillin man

  • mpc doesn´t have all that features but why shoul i have an all-in-one if all that features aren´t pro enough

  • I have an mv8800 punk and the reaon i bought it was cause i had no budget to afford the mpc and plus has no support

  • what? how can you even sit here and make a dumb uneducated statement like that? the os alone on an mpc is garbage and there is no support for 4000. have you owned both? and before you make a nother dumb comment....i have.

  • I have an mv8800 punk and the reaon i bought it was cause i had no budget to afford the mpc and plus has no support

  • Great beat!!but about the mpc mv we got to be sincere mpc4000 is by far better then the mv8800

  • nice check out my beat making video

  • Man sh#t you should be the spokesman for the MV. cuz im sold!!!!!!!

  • what it do Ski, its ya boi Hot16. I was wondering if ya still selling the patches for the MV8000? Oh by the way tight beat man. Keep them banging.

  • alright

  • BLAHAHAHA you know cats gonna DL that shit

  • Nice indeed! I liked the way he sampled the whole phrase, then he took the part after "prison" & made the base for the beat. Sped that up, then went back & grabed the "vocal intro", sped that up with drums now added. Put "prison" in as an accent with the drums! Great!

  • hip hop lives

  • Whats song is that ..did he give it out ?

  • for the guy who asked which machine is better. come on dawg it's the same exact machine with a slightly faster hdd. nothing new but samples and color screen and exterior changes.

  • Track is ill Ski! Much props and respect. Love that sample. I've been an MPC2000XL user for years but been thinking about picking up the MV, so much easier to chop. All the best man, take it easy.

    - Joey Bags

    myspace/joeybagsproductions

  • yo u think u could do a tutoriol on how 2 chop a sample on the mv8800?

  • yo ski beats i got a question for you.....wich one do you think is a better sampling machine as far as choppin a sample and assigning them 2 pads the mv8000 or da mv8800?

  • They both work the same way theres no difference in the way your able to chop on these machines

  • SKI !!!! You know I rides with you ... but you KNOW that aint right about the MV and MPC choppin samples the same. Getting a sample chopped and on the pads in the MV is by far superior to the MPC. ALl these dudes need to do is check out that video you made choppin that loop up on the MV (the one where you copied and pasted to each pad) That CLIP BOARD button on the MV is the magic.

  • I love dat dam snare i want it

  • That shits tight, nice one bro

  • ski needs to save that one for shyne when he gets out

  • This beat is perfect. I like the part when the beat kicks in after the intro. The drums are really dope on it.

  • SKI.... my nigga..this shit is FIRE!!! And the best part of the video is at the end when you turned to the camera like "yeahhhh Niggaz"..haaaa Love it.

For all that see this check out his video of when he showed the "Making of Dead Presidents" gave a nigga chills watching how history was made. Thank You Ski

I just hooked up my FantomXA to my MV with a MIDI cable, but when I record it tthru the MV I cant hear it playback. How do u fix this man? Im getting a signal on the MV too>? Thanx man n keep grinding!

  • Does it need to have a midi out from the xa then in the mv then have a midi out from the mv to a midi in to the xa? I'm not real sure about how that all works... I'd look that up though...

  • thanks man, check for the madman at mvnation(DOT)com
