Imagine you make the beats that how u want it with the song that already made. Not easy as u think because the method of making song by sampling is much different than start from nothing. but sometimes u just got it so easy in short time. This is me wasnt4me. To answer your question, yes. The MV-8800 is compatible with software. You can use Pro Tools, Reason and Garage Band. There are others as well. MV-8800 converts your songs to WAV format files after you go through the Mastering. I personally use a MAC for music. There is also an R-Bus that you could connect directly to your computer, but the R-Bus runs around $365 to get one. One last thing, I do like your mic allot, looks like a great tool. Peace.

Well Pcs Suck, they are filled with viruses and they are set up wack . Every Good software music program was either made for Macs or it is just easier to use on mac. I would say 99 percent of the music industry uses mac. I dont even know what good studio you go to and dont see a Mac in the control room. Studios dont use Pcs hahaha its a no brainer man

the MV-8800 is a beast....get used to it and you will love its use....the mpc200xl only has 96ppqn while the MV has 480...which means if you play piano or some other instrument without quantize...you can get it to sound more realistic. the quantize parameters on the mv are unrivaled. watch the video on rolands website about the quantizing....simply amazing

Exactly, it's not the tools, it's the user. All samplers/sampling workstations are basically the same thing implemented differently. Marley Marl made some of the most classic beats of all time by manually cueing up and playing back into a Korg Digital Delay. All the most expensive and newest gear is useless if you don't have the chops.
