Granted this young lady has got a beautful voice, I feel that adding the "little cadenza" at the end was inappropriate. Unlike Mabel's aria, "Poor Wand'ring One", this piece is not written to allow an optional cadenza. And doing so takes the focus off of the character and puts it onto the singer.
I agree with you 100% about the cadenza. Totally out of character. And even thou she is a good singer her character is off during times through the piece.
Wow. Really hated that cadenza. She didn't need to do that. The song and she were fine without it.
