I have really liked pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma's santoor album "Golden raaga collection" in the same raaga, with tabla player, Shafaat Ahmad Khan. It is a Hindustani classical album. You can find it on musicindiaonline

Each raag is different. Old Hindi movie songs come in many raags. bAgeshri is one such raag. There are others, durbAri kAnadA. The song bhagvAn from Baiju bAwrA is set to this raag. There are quite a few others in durbAri kAnadA. As regards your second question, I'm not quite sure I understand it fully in order to answer.
