Ok: NORMALLY the outfit is made from LYRCRA, which is easily moveable in and alot of dancers wear it, as for the short skirts, can you try and do a high kick with a skirt down to your knees? No. lol it would be rediculous and as well as fashion, the somewhat....skimpiness of the costume MIGHT have something to do with when you put ur body thru all that you are going to be insanely hot!!! In winter you see that cheerleaders wear long sleeves too.
