because besides Hayate, mostly all Ryu knows are women..of course on DOA he's cool with Jann lee but Jann Lee has no place in the Ninja Gaiden world. And plus these women already been there, now they're playable. Research man

There have been reports that Sigma 2 has toned down the gore and violence that was present in Ninja Gaiden II. However, according to Aileen Viray, Public Relations/Marketing Specialist for Tecmo Games, the demo build of the game had to be toned down. However, the full version of the game will retain the gore and violence of the original.

Lies. The Tecmo PR people have since confirmed that the game is heavily cut back on the 360 version's violence, gore, and blood.

Read any recent Sigma 2 news and you will see it confirmed from Tecmo and the game director himself that the game is toned down. You will not ever see NG2's gore in Sigma 2.
