i think Tomas is a great skater in terms of his skills and technique, 'cause he basically has the whole package to be extremely good - his lines, moves are great. But why in the world can he NEVER pull his program together? one can't be world class withough consistency. And Tomas lacks the latter big time.. all those popped jumps are very disappointing :(
I agree. It's a pity that a skater that talented has not fully realized his potential, has not won any Grand Prix event and doesn't have a Worlds medal. Makes me wonder -- was the only big title he won, 2008 Euros, a freak accident / fluke? I so hope not.
well, i think that any significant win to come for him is more likely to be a matter of luck... in that he somehow manages to pull off both progams, as opposed to the SP only.. he s proved that he just doesn't have consistency... OR better yet, consistently "fails" his LP.. (a bit similar to Cohen's case). Though Verner IS a strong jumper.. potentially..
i love his skating, but in the long run i think he wont be a true favorite..
Though, it's so unfortunate, I still think he's got a chance at the gold in 2010.

that was my opinion... maybe beacause I still miss Stephane's skating, I see it everywhere I look :)

Why borrowed? ... Skates beautifully, but can not compete.

I had this thought when I saw his SP, but then I figured it was mere coincidence... but now....
He has "borrowed" a lot from Lambiels style, even some of his footwork sequences.... does anyone else see it too?

No, Tomaš have an individual style, nothing from Lambiels skating.
I dont know, why do you think so...

it's a bit similar to Lambiel's Flamenco, but maybe this program is of a similar style.. some step seuqences do take after Stephan's ones..

aha... someone sees through my glasses, after all :)

i meant "but maybe BECAUSE this program is of a similar style", i.e. Lambiel's Flamenco and Verner's Tango.
