Umm, the creators of Lima Lama are Samoan. They taught students all over the world. The Lima Lama halau in Mexico are from the authorized instructors. So, no, the Mexicans are not taking credit, tgey are perpetuating (with permission) the art of Lima Lama. I hope all the crap talking will stop because that is one reason the founders were reluctant to teach palangi, haole, and outsiders.

many of these techniques are found in Silat systems,the Polynesians are said to have travelled thru the PHILLIPINES and Indonesia,I wonder if they picked up some of them there,as there are no tigers in Samoa so it is likely they brought them from China , their ancestral homeland, or encountered them in Sth east asia.

I remember that day well. For anyone who thinks it is impossible for someone to be that quick, let me tell you...he can. And this was Master Lugo going slow enough so the camera could keep up. You should see him full speed...if you can.
