@laajos300 they are unison bends. I play the note on the first string and bend the second string up to the pitch of the first string. Hope that helps

but you definately would make hendrix proud i really like the way its composed it really sounds like the star spangled banner which is what i liked about hendrix version everything to the feed back of his guitar sounded like it fit just like yours. a+. which these are actually the reasons why i did not like vai's version it was advanced and very creative which he is the master of but many things he did just did not feel like star spangled banner. but yours did.

i have only been playing the guitar for 6 months and dont know much about composing songs yet but i have definately been wanting to figure out how to play this one but my ear and experience is limiting me from figuring it out on my own do you know where i can get sheet music or tabs or something to get me started understanding how to roughly play it i can figure out the techniques i need bye ear when it comes to figuring out the style or how i want to play it i just dont know what notes to play.

When Jimi made that song famous, he played it at Wood Stock and there he played it feeling the emotions of the Vietnam War so the sounds had a unique voice that only Jimi could speak with... but that does sound incredible..

Very cool, very well done, sir. However, I wouldn't say it's in a Hendrix style....it's way too clean, too note-for-note with the song, whereas Hendrix went "off script" quite a bit. I was going to suggest Vai style, but remembered he's very influenced by Hendrix. For those who are not sure, you can find both performances on youtube. I'd say this would be more in Satriani's style, whose style has bit of flash/flair, but not so over-the-top like Hendrix or Vai. Again, good job!

Thanks! Yeah, Hendrix style has a question mark after it. It really wasn't supposed to sound like Hendrix, I did my own version, used the "Hendrix style?" to peak curiosity:)

Actually, Hendrix did tap on several occations on a couple other tunes, but Rod doesn't know that, and this version clearly has nothing to do Jimi's. The question mark here is in the wrong position of the title. It definately belongs, but I'm not sure where. lol.

I think it's nice straight rendition with a lil dash of Rod stye infused in there. Much more repectable than all these other shitheads tryin' to recreate an un-rearcreatable historical event.
