  • yes it's front wheel normally then when the front and rear wheels turn at a different speed it transfers some power to the rear.

  • I will take my 1964 valiant convertable any day of the week.

  • No. With FWD you can dont make this.

  • Can a FWD CR-V do the same thing? Just curious, I'm living in USA

  • Now try it in the wet. Its just a toy.

  • try that with a 4 cylinder petrol version from the states.......never would have made it up that hill...... diesel have alot more torque

  • @perez861 I beg to differ. i have the 99 model 2.0 gas burner. and I've gone up a hill the same grade as in the video without the four wheel drive even coming on.

  • @thecowside that is true...the difference would be momentum with momentum a pinto could make it up that hill. I am just not a big fan of toyota. i rented a highlander in oregon and was not the bit pleased with it. I think they can improve on the torque output and distribution into the allwheel drive system. but they are cool vehicle just not an off roader i guess

  • only mid age women drive CR-V in Canada for all grocery purpose

  • get a subaru haha

and a valve job. that little honda was tappin bad

  • subauru? wahts that ?

  • doooooorae9, no way! i own crv 2009 and drove cayenne off road, cayenne is much more stable!!!

  • what is the point of comparing a 30k euro car to a 150k euro car?

  • euro = 1:1 with Aus??? @_@

  • thats how much they cost in Turkey at least...

    the cheapest ones are

    CR-V : 43.600€

    Chayenne : 88.053€

    and the most expensive

    CR-V: 50.500€

    Chayenne: 214.548€

  • nice vid, crv is the best on its price range!!!

  • crv has greater off road capability than cayenne

  • 4x4...

  • I also fogot to add the CR-V is ok at cross country but only mild cross country.

  • Also i recomend if you want a car to go cross country in don't choose the CR-V, the CR-V is more of a luxary car. If you want to go cross country choose a land rove, not a range rover.

  • The 4WD is turned on automaticly by the car when it thinks it needs the extra power, it is like that on all the models and specafcations.

  • Incorrect.

The rear differential engages when the front wheels slip. It is a reactive system and uses no electronics...

  • It´s a front wheel drive right? So when these wheels start to slip the rear differential engages through a hydraulic-mecanic system and voila!, it's AWD. Am I right? I'm just sort of guessing here, from what I've heard.

  • You are absolutely correct.

  • How is the 4WD feature turned on? I don't see any button and the manual is not clear enough for me, I think I'm silly lol.

  • The 4WD turns on automaticly when the car thinks the extra power is need, it isent on all the time to save fule.

  • Since I don't live in the US, or any of those "big" countries with long highways, I can't tell how much I save on fuel, Santo Domingo is a city with a lot of cars and a lot of traffic (just like Mexico DF). However, the 4WD is a nice feature because from time to time I do like to go to the mountains and over there having a 4WD transportation is a must. Currently I own a Nissan Frontier 4WD, Diesel.

  • es 4wd
