How do I put this............what the F*** HAPPENED!!!!!! I saw Trivium open up for Slipknot in 2009 and this is not even close to being the same band. He cuts his hair, they get a new drummer, and now we're a F****** MELODY!!! I prefer to remember bands for their greatness..that spark and power that got them the record deal in the first place. This new act is pure garbage. I want the real Trivium back. RIP guys, you had a good run, to bad you started catering to get on the radio.

I seen Trivium when they first started out @ Harpos in Detroit & Paulo wasn't even the bass player yet so that's going back a few years to the beginning. They were only like 17-19 years old & after there set they all came up to the front of the venue to chat & sign autographs & I ended up chatting with Cory & Matt backstage with my friend Johnny Kelly of Type O Negative because Trivium was opening for Danzig that night & Johnny Kelly was drumming for Danzig so that's how i came across Trivium.

@shredhead21 Bad idea. Matt has a stronger voice. Plus, Corey can't sing. Trivium is a unique band in that they don't have 1 vocalist, or even 2 vocalists, they have 3. Paolo sings, Matt sings and screams, and Corey screams. They are all talented vocalists and their songs wouldn't work without all 3 of them.

In 2009 Gojira was an opener for IF and I think that Gojira is one of the most brilliant band in the world ( there lyrics and experimental music are very good) but by that it doesn't make them a headliner. The fame and the popularity of the band make them headliner for shows. So in this tour IF was the headliner and Trivium was co-headliner or an opener
