  • you said all sabian, when the cymbals are zildjian.....

  • i think u need a new monitor man

  • @basssmaster128 i think he needs a new haircut if he doesnt want to look like grunge version of Justin Bieber.

  • You sure need a screen monitor

  • dude too bad you dont live in my area id definetely have my bands record with you dude \M/

  • You a real ass nigga

  • GREAT VIDEO

  • keep doing your thing people are going too be people

  • wow your poor

  • gayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • when you cuss on a tutorial you show limited vocabulary

  • Monitors are really important for a good monitoring. In your case you need near field ones. The issue is: the one you are showing gin the video are not calibrated for such purpose. What you risk is to color too much the EQ due the "colored" response of your speakers.

  • @iw2mln hey thanks so much for the tips !! this video is quite old tho ! an i now have upgraded to KRK models two witch are doing pretty good right now ! and i have gotten rid of the clunky mixers an that an have a M box and pre-sonus fire pod ! keep the tips coming guys theres always things to learn!

ps im uploading some new stuff that im working on with a buddy so keep posted !!

  • @okgoemo Keep me posted ;)

  • @iw2mln actually monitors are the least important. you should be testing your mixes on everything possible, most importantly shitty speakers and headphones. ive heard shit mixes come from genelecs.

  • @BDukich Please go to Abbey Studio & tell them:throw away your monitor. You need to use the "plastic box" are on market!.

The first thing is the SKILL of the audio engineer. No skill no quality. that's why you listened to shits from Genelec.

The second stuff must be the quality of your devices. The monitors ARE important, to get everything it's possible in the correct way to your ears.

All the rest counts of course. Anyhow HERE we're talking over the Monitors. They ARE very important to help.

  • @iw2mln first off its abbey road, not abbey. second, no, equipment does not matter. music used to be recorded onto a single microphone with ZERO processing, yet it was still of higher quality than most of today's music. musical gear makes our job a bit easier, but the main reason people buy so much shit is cause it looks cool and makes us feel good about ourselves. of course good monitors will help a bit, but i have yet to find the average joe who walks around listening to music on pro monitors

  • @BDukich It doesn't matter what Abbey is. You understood and this is what's important. Secondly: I disagree that just a mic and a recorder made better recordings. If it was so, it was exclusively due the HIGH SKILL of the Engineers, not certainly beacuse they used "plastic boxes from supermarket". Let's say taht now-a-day too many people believe to be Sound Engineer when it's not true, and they made the shit you told you listened to.

  • @iw2mln have you ever seen the frequency response graph of ns-10s? not so good...

  • are u on drugs

  • @madcow562 i get so high because the world is so low! ;)

  • once he said "birthdays or christmas, or any of that shit", you knew shit was about to go down ;)

  • @0211brucetube hahahah yes!

  • POOR AS FUCK ))Honesty You gotta love that

  • @danyer3051 haha poor indeed my man!! iv madly upgraded scene this this video is pure JOKES NOW!!!

head over to my bands facebook to hear my new sound facebook / continentofficial

  • First of all, EGG CARTONS ARE USELESS FOR SOUND ABSORPTION. The "egg cartons" you see in old studios is FOAM. High density acoustic foam. Go search auralex.

Secondly Kristal Audio Engine is far superior to Audacity. It supports ASIO drivers and VST plugins in REAL TIME. Also FREE.

Those Chep Pallets are worth $50 each new. Go sell em back to the warehouse for $20 each.

Buy a proper multi I/O audio interface and forget Barestinker.

  • You're a nice helpful guy and have a lot of useful info and knowledge. You are also quite cute. So why make your face so disfigured with the artificial snot emulator? I guess you'll tell me looking revolting is very cool, but to be honest, I just don't get it. Snot candles made of metal? Nope, I don't.

  • @walshamite thanks alot for the kind words! & to answer that question this video is quite old now from the time when i took it and i taught it was the "cool" thing to do at the time begin only like 16 at the time but its long scene bin taking out! thanks again!

    Ronan

  • @okgoemo lern 2 spel

  • @kc7152 i know right............. \m/

  • You will always be poor if you present yourself as needing to emulate a kid with a revolting and severe snot problem and using foul language as if it gave you cred. It doesn't, btw.

  • @walshamite surprisingly i had a good job despite the stretched septum & i never once taught that foul language gave me "cred" what ever that is to impose.

  • aint myspace lol

  • @JScott34s i originally took this for myspace back in the day hha before Facebook took over

  • You need to blow your nose.

  • @homegrownpa story of my life:D

  • Your final result is going to be suffering a lot from those ghetto speakers your mixing on. Check out the KRKs , their great nearfield monitors and really cheap.

Hell even some shitty behringer monitors would be an improvement. You don't want loud, you dont even want "sounds good", you want *accurate*.

  • @MrShayneOneill oh i know this video is SOO OLD !!! i was like 15-16 i have a pair of the KRK's now as well as up scaled everything but yah you i like how you know ur shit !! i dig

  • @okgoemo Hey don't get me wrong. Theres nothing with mcgyvering shit when you can't afford pro gear.

  • @MrShayneOneill oh for sure dude !!!!! haha

  • oh for sure dude !!! but when the real padding is like 10000$ a foot haha its kinda hard to get ur hands on it when cash is limited hah

  • Your sound-proofing consists of 2 blue pallets, and egg boxes, iv seen it all now.

  • @djravageuk hahah this is soo long ago !!!! lol they wernt really for sound proofing just to catch runaway noise mostly lol bit retarded now that i look back at this lol

  • @okgoemo lol.. egg cartons are actually great at times, a mate of mine has them all over his bedroom walls, works wonders, nowhere near as good as proper padding though lol

  • dude thats not poor

  • Not Bashing dude... but your cymbals are zildjian not sabian. Nice job with such a cheap budget though.

  • i use an interface check musicians friend there soo cheap !!!

  • how do u use the mixer, like conecting it to ur computer and that sort of thing

  • nice dude im learning!!!

  • what exactly do ya do with the mixer board? if you could send me a message in detail what it is iit will be highly appreciated

  • Wow dude thats a pretty sweet studio you have going on. And it's fucking sick that you made half the shit on your own. Also you said you just had a band in there? So I was going to ask where you live and are you expensive to work with?

  • set your interface setting to Primary sound imput and set your Play back to what ever your speekers are called that should solve it if not then there might be something wrong with your imput

also check out some new stuff im working on with my band

    h t t p://dl.dropbox.com/u/4185675/Misery%20Loves%20Company.mp3

let me know what you think

  • audacity is the shit! used it on school computers at the recording studio there... cant download it on my computer though.. it downloads but wont record... can anyone help??

  • @doeboyfresh97 hey dude yah its pretty badass dude did you set up your sound preferences in the preference settings under File ??

  • @okgoemo yea... wen i hit record to record a sound the sound that im recording doesnt record... i just get the flat line... i checked the input setting and turned it all the way up but still got nothing

  • @doeboyfresh97 are you using any type of interface ? or just direct line in on ur computer / laptop

  • @okgoemo direct line

  • @doeboyfresh97 you prob need to change your input device and select the correct one or it is also possible that it is muted in playback settings

  • stop playing with your stupid straightened hair

  • Hey man check out the pro tools essential bundles they're bout 100$ but for what you get its good price

  • hitler look

  • sick vid man! just wondering what mics you using? and also are your speakers monitor speakers or just normal speakers for a sound system? im running on a budget as well and wondering if you can get away without using monitor speakers

  • i have 4 gigs 2 2 sticks of ddr
