@samquan123: you are not a mixed, you are a hybrid, elephant head and a mouse tale, you dont know shit about Vietnam.

  • Wow! Very valuable pictures there. Priceless.

  • I wished I was a billionaire then I'll find the descendants of vietnam royalty and give them their power back and rreraise the troops and we will have royalty like Great Britian.

  • very special architecture ancient house of real viet...i love it... i been search those real viet picture history everywhere and i not found it .. but i found in internet YOUTUBE. thank you to the one who up loaded this special video...the last dragon of dynasty Nguyen still living...

  • This seems heavily by Chinese music.

  • @Johnnybomb1 Indeed. Vietnam has been colonized by China for heu... long (old name An nam means "pacified south"). It has left some traces.

  • thú vị

  • Very beautiful! Maybe this will educate some people in the ancient beauty of Vietnam music, people who only know Vietnam now by the words "Me so horny".....

  • You forgot to mention about the people. Look at their achievements throughout history. That's more important!

  • vietnam is a beautiful country is Warm. winter time is not cold . other country is damn Cold and Big snow.

  • @samquan123 Actually in some of the mountains in North Vietnam ( Original Vietnam areas) there is snow...

South and Middle Vietnam was stolen from the Cambodians,Chams, and the Mountain People..

Vietnam used to be where Southern China is right now.

  • @EastAsiandictator you are right in ancient time viet land is huge all the way to china today. viet border by Sichuan. and by Dongting Lake,Hunan. and by Hainan sea. and by Champa.

  • @EastAsiandictator that why vietnamese today are mixing with Cambodia, khmer Champa, Lao, Thai. etc..

  • @samquan123 Well the mixing isn't really high check out the statistics. The majority will always be FULL BLOOD Vietnamese.

  • @EastAsiandictator i living in u.s all my vietnamese friends they are mixed with France, Cambodian, Black , Lao, White, but they are speaking vietnamese.

  • @samquan123 Ok....so? There isn't a lot of mixed, are you mixed? FULL BLOOD will always outnumber the mixed.

  • @EastAsiandictator my brother is mixed white too. and i had a friend she mixed with white. also her husband mixed white too and 4 chilrends are mixed with white too and her grandmother is cambodia people. And she tell me in vietnam she live near too many Cambodia people she also talk to me those cambodia people celebrate their new year all night long is too noise she cannot sleep.

  • @samquan123 Can you stop telling me about mixed Vietnamese.Frankly,I don't care,I only care about FULL BLOOD Vietnamese.I am going to block you since you are fucking annoying like a little kid.

  • @EastAsiandictator you nut head keep block the true. we cannot do nothing anyway. those people is mixed is OK man?and not all vietnamese is mixed and im not mixed. but just talk the true and let people know the true. so the people know the true. if we dont talk true people think we look same cambodia actually not same. And that why i try to frankly explain man?.

  • nhac rat hay,toi rat vui vi toi la nguoi Vietnam, duoc thuong thuc nhac Viet hay hon nhieu cac quoc gia khac

  • Wonderful! In OKC we have a huge Viet community but most of the music you hear is contemporary. The court orchestra and the old prints and postcards made it more real and gave the pieces a context to appreciate it with. I'm making it one of my favorites.

  • Vietnan is a beautifull place. I hope to visit it someday.

Salute, from Rio Grande do Sul

  • ...and good health back to you, mi amigo.

    :)

  • @veiocharrua

You are Welcome to our country anytime :)

  • xin cho toi hoi co the nao download bai nay dc ko?

    o dau, xin cho link.

    cam on rat nhieu.

  • I'd love "then" "quan họ" "chầu văn". anyway, nice to know you

  • Please let me know the names of these pieces? And who plays them? This recording. This, surely, is all "Nha Nhac" (ie. "fancy" or court music).

  • aww i have this song, but i like this version better.

  • who told you that bs?

  • @kkcxox Your comment is totally incorrect .Chinese is not an ethnicity, China reflects a border which represents a collection of different ethnic groups, e.g. Han, Miao, Zhuang etc. Vietnam represents a true ethic people, we come from 2 main tribes, the Au Viet and Lac Viet. Yes, Vietnam definitely has elements of other ethnic groups that make up China today, however, that is normal interracial exchanges between mutual neighbours. However, we always have, and always will be Viet.

  • nhạc này nghe lại thấy nhớ nhà ghê,,hehe..Các loại nhạc bây giờ nghe lại nhảm nhí quá..nghe cí này thì thấy mang đậm chất việt nam..

  • Thank you.

  • hay lam!

  • beautifully sound. khong ngo nhac co truyen vn lai hay nhu vay.

  • May I ask where does this recording come from, and when was it recorded?

I heard this very same piece from the CD "Anthology of World Music -- The Music of Vietnam Vol.1," which I think was recorded back in the 60s, and the performance styles are somewhat different.

    Fascinating pictures indeed!

  • sorry for the late reply, this is from the relatively new CD released by Phuong Nam corp. Try google "Thập thủ liên hoàn" and it should be the 3rd result. Have a nice day!

  • Thanks!

  • gorgeous and great collection of pictures

  • Very nice collage and music. I hear 2 sao truc (transverse bamboo flute), dan nhi (2-string vertical fiddle), dan nguyet (2-string moon lute), dan ty ba (4-stringed pear-shaped lute), sinh tien (coin clappers), vân la (set of tuned gongs, like Chinese yunluo--never heard this in Vietnamese music before), small cymbal, and trong (drum). Did I miss any?

  • gosh how did u ever figure out what instruments u r hearing? but i saw a fabulous vietnamese musical performance in SIngapore just last weekend performed by a group from Saigon. They were absolutely amazing and charmed all of the audiences..n i love all the exotic vietnamese instuments, it just show how closely n harmoniously the vietnamese lived with nature
