Its more like fps aiming but youre stats do affect the damage, there is melee combat too. Theres a free 7 day trial available.

There class weapon has slow DPS, all of their skills have to be spammed to have any effect, and last but not least they have no sound way of dealing with large amounts of mobs.

Than again, the last part is pretty much the setback of snipers in general. They sit back and pick off soldiers one by one, but have trouble with mobs or large groups. I guess this could be solved if the class could drop claymore mines or something similar (if they can't already).

The problem is that they cant pick off soldiers one by one. There weapon doesnt have the damage capabilities, and the aggro mechanics dont allow for effective sniping. They are more into using the TSR (Torque-shell rifle) for pulling aggro then the chaingun to do the rest.

On the contrary; if you set ourself up for the shots properly (and that usually requires heavy investment in Stealth to get where you need to get), aggro is seldom an issue. You learn how long you need to keep your bead on the target to do the damage you need to do in the situations that arise. The sniper class isn't for those without a lot of patience, tho (which, I think, is how it's designed to be, after all).

In recent updates to the stealth armor it is possibly to pick off enemys one by one,they wont see u unless ur like 10m infront of them or 2m behind them

I've never used one, but from what I see in-game, they aren't very damage resistant.

A guardian sops up a ridiculous amount of damage, these guys are more like rogue/caster types.

The Torqueshell Rifle has been nerfed quite a bit in the recent patch, but at least they took out the charging time so you can just fire without charging. But still, its lost some of its effectiveness.

this game is AWESOME-- but I have one complaint and it's about something I think everyone has.. when you're moving the game will do a little half-second skip every 3-5 seconds as long as you're moving.. I think it's a problem with loading the view distance.. but even at the lowest graphics it'll still skip.. only skil a bit faster, like half of a half of a second.. and it's not hardware issue, my computer and I'm sure this poster's specs highly exceed the recommended specs..

WoW is still better! This game is still buggy! This isnt a FPS or Like a FPS. If you play the game you will realize this. The targeting system blows.

Their is a semi-lock, yet you have to aim with the crosshairs, it will stay locked for 3 Seconds.
