Written by Johnny Marks, not Chuck Berry.. Marks also wrote "Rockin around the Christmas Tree". There were some great Christmas songs that came out in the years of 1957 -1958. This one, "Blue Christmas" by Elvis Presley, "Rockin around the Christmas Tree" by Brenda Lee, and "Jingle Bell Rock" by Bobby Helms. All Christmas staples now.

Reportedly, Leonard Chess tells Chuck he'd like a song for Christmas. The genius Chuck Berry sits down and writes and records this gem. Over 50 years later, it is still THE rock and roll anthem for Christmas. Thank you Mr. Chuck Berry!
