@prettycountrygirl2 On 12/18/11, Rudolph was in pre-flight mode to adjust for Light Speed. This tune was playing over the sound system in Santa's sleigh. A Merry and Hopeful Christmas 2011 to ya!
Written by Johnny Marks, not Chuck Berry.. Marks also wrote "Rockin around the Christmas Tree". There were some great Christmas songs that came out in the years of 1957 -1958. This one, "Blue Christmas" by Elvis Presley, "Rockin around the Christmas Tree" by Brenda Lee, and "Jingle Bell Rock" by Bobby Helms. All Christmas staples now.
Reportedly, Leonard Chess tells Chuck he'd like a song for Christmas. The genius Chuck Berry sits down and writes and records this gem. Over 50 years later, it is still THE rock and roll anthem for Christmas. Thank you Mr. Chuck Berry!
Jimi Hendrix might be the Master of the Stratocaster, but, Chuck Berry is The Wizard of the Gibson 335! This tune is basic, but bruisin'! This one goes out to Keith Richards, Brian Setzer, Jeff Beck, and Les Paul (in Heaven)! JUMP ON IT, CHUCK! Merry Christmas 2011 to all!

There was an industry legend about speeding-up Chuck's recordings to make him sound younger. Don't know if that's true or not........

@kelvisparsley64 hmmmm. Mayt have figured out something here.

@kelvisparsley64 At least one of Chuck's recording was sped up (Sweet Little Sixteen) for release to the public. I don't think this one was.

Is it just me or do they speed up at 0:11 and then again at 0:16?
