I need to find some of those windshield things and give my solar oven another shot. I tried making reflectors from a couple of different things but had a hard time positioning them just right. When I'd get it right, a gust of wind would knock it all over. The windshield things will probably work better. It was also winter time so that probably didn't help either.
@imstillworkin That sounds like a good idea. Would love to see it if you work on the project again! I'm interested in working with this oven during winter to see what kind of temps I can get out of it.
@imstillworkin I went to the hardware store in the HVAC section and bought a roll of foiled bubble insulation. I have been working on a solar oven idea for a couple weeks with success. I have a large black roasting pan and a rack and I used one of those turkey oven bags. Put my pan of brownies in the bag in the big pan on the rack and viola' brownies! I could probably get 3 or 4 reflectors out of the roll that cost $23.00. I bought some sun shades but they were flimsy. Noreen : )
That is SO fantastic! I noticed the pretty plate even before you mentioned it. : ) And I liked the glass too. You did an great job building your oven. What is the big glass pot thing...tell us about that and where did you get it. I thins your oven is awesome.
@horticultureandhomes See! Now it's happened a second time. I didn't receive notification of that video. But you know what, I also don't receive notification of all the comments on my channel either. Occasionally, someone will say that I didn't respond to them. When I check the video, I see the comment but didn't get it in my inbox. I'll go check out #25 now. Thanks
