reading these comments it goes to show that people always think that when they like a musician that means their good at their instrument. Billy is a good songwriter. he's not a good singer, he has a very limited range. If you like the sound of his voice that's fine, but that doesn't mean he's a good singer

its bad how billy will always be in maynards shadow, even though he contributed most of the content on A perfect circle, his music is absolutely amazing, people underestimate way too much. Im a hardcore Tool fan, and my favorite vocalist happens to be maynard, but give this guy credit, he isnt trying to be like anyone. His music is thick with meaning and its great quality, and to the douche that criticizes billy for his voice, Fuck you dickhead, no one asked you nor do we care, Billy is amazing

I've always suspected that Robert Smith was lurking somewhere within Billy. I actually met Billy's mother at a concert in Pompano, Florida in 2004. She was a very nice lady and she confirmed my suspision about the Cure being a big influence on him. I've always enjoyed anything this guy has done. Good thing I like the Cure as well.

I agree with most of you guys that in this video Billy's voice is less than impressive, and Adam's performance is better.

However, I'd like to point out that on the album, Billy's voice sounds great in this song and in all of the other songs too (especially this one though!).

I'd also like to point out to all you "Adam sounds more like Maynard" people that this is not an APC replacement, it's another band, and Billy's goal is not to sound like Maynard, it's to sound unique.

Why isn't Billy singing back up for Adam? Part of being a good musician is knowing your strengths. I have been playing guitar for many years and every guitar player I meet thinks they're singers. Billy is a great back up singer, sorry. Adam does sound like Maynard. If he lost the faggy necklace he would make a good frontman.

I think its a very poor performance with very poor, under note, forced (closed throat) singing. Doesnt anyone agree with me? Otherwise Ashes Divide is a great project. and Billy does sing great on the album and live (amplified). I suppose its the acoustically dry environment. Its really hard to sing fully in such places, thats with this is probably sung that bad
