Try to make your letters a bit more unique. In my opinion it's still pretty clear that you just started of a font and added spikes. If find logos looking a lot better and more unique when hand drawn than 'font-altered' ones, no matter how many spikes you add.

However, it turned out better than I expected, so well done.

@HereticsGen That's a fair point! HOWEVER, This is to teach beginners, and therefore can't be put in the deep end. This was my third ever proper logo, and I can assure you my logos are fully hand drawn :) I am 6 months more experienced and have done over 50 logos in the meantime! Thank's for the compliment aswell though, I'm always open to criticism :)

Damn, I love your style, you design loads of detail and eerie, grimey details to it, but you can still make out the letters with relative ease. You could seriously get somewhere with these. Charging 25 quid for this is cheap for the design of some of these logos.

Absolutely perfect, thanks for the video. I do have one question: You go into Illustrator? I'm not familiar with this program (probably a long-term mistake on my part) but are you using it at some point? I had to pause the video and there was something about calligraphy. Is this so you can make the logo a vector image? That's the only part that confused me.

Thanks! Yes you're absolutely correct, it's illustrator CS4... If you choose to do so, only use illustrator to touch up and vectorise the image, it's not essential. Vector logos are usually made out of shapes and paths, rather than the technique used here
