  • if you have enough drones so each end of the nydus constantly has at lest one drone in it, does it keep unloading the whole time by itself so you only need to press D once?

  • i will defeinetly check this out and use it

  • holy shit this is awesome

  • have they patched this since the vid?

  • theys are sick strategies (subscribed)

  • Question: Is a nydus worm vulnerable when it is being built?

  • @ShadowAimai when the first is built in your base it's safe of course...it's when you create the next part of the network that gets tricky...if the couple seconds to play the animation isn't enough, the worm screeches like a banshee and let's the entire map know it's there. Expect to have trouble putting it in the enemy base, but if it's done in this manner, you'll have your opponent panicking thinking he's about to be pummeled at his base.

  • @ShadowAimai yes ofcourse

  • @ShadowAimai yes

  • dont see this as being practical, you have to devote too much microing to this. also the worm can be killed pretty easily and it doesnt load units instantly they have to que into it. the only feasible rendition of this would be to "hide" a worm near some expansion and use it to saturate the expo with drones faster(make drones at any base with a nydus by it and send them to the expo). ive done that before it works pretty well.

  • why not have both selected to one hotkey and tell both to unload constantly

  • Its actually a good strategy because if you do this early on, you can use your Nydus worm to harass inside the enemy base, or like this vid mine at a gold expansion, I think the nydus worm is greatly udnerrated... And expanding there is stupid because you can get your drones out of there with the Nydus worm before any damage can be done, while with an expansion you will most definetly lose your expansion AND your drones, also the enemy wont expect you to mine there becuz there are rocks intact

  • actually you lose because of time spending on nydus to gather minerals while they should be macro, micro.

  • wtb auto-unload all on nydus worms anyone with me?

  • When i tried this i couldnt get my drones to go back to my worms they just went back to my hatchery(which was on the other side of the map).

  • Or instead of using 100 min 100 gas on a worm, you could use 300 min on a hatchery. And you need some decent micro to do it, AND you have do do it manually. Ugh...

  • Very cool smart thing!

  • drones not being worth much o.O thats not what any of the pro treat them since they do make like 70 or so a game XD think thats more like they are valuable since they make up your income lol

  • my guess was trying not to wake the parents up

  • agreed with Memok your baked as hell dude

  • useful if your opponent is trying to keep you in base and starve you to death

  • terrible strategy, you have to pay for nydus then gathering back to your hatchery takes too much time

  • @nickgen123 for 300 gas u might as well expand there...

  • @P5ych00 But the thing is does the opponent see it u can save all your drones by entering the nydus worm and go back to base and then make a new worm somewhere else "dangerous" and keep doing this and getting mins and not risking so much:)

  • this takes too much attention :/

  • @Akrilles Absolutely this. A hatchery will take up far less of your attention - just get one of the drones to set up with the thousands of minerals you have.

  • yea , but doing so it slows your buildings contruction and unit making

  • Use worms to connect and protect hatcheries with slow units like hydra and queens.

  • Thats not the most piratical strategy. But still pretty cool.

  • Meh that's a lot of work for very little cash. I wouldn't reccomend this unless you're super cash strapped. It's not like 400 minerals is a large bill anyways. Just build a new hatchery and you won't have to worry about constantly doing that whole nydus thing while there are more pressing matters.

  • @Icix1 True, but your opponent would detect a Hatchery much more easily than a Nydus Worm.

  • @darkdill sorry but how the hell would an opponent miss the nydus and not the hatch because both spread creep ... please explain

  • @Icix1

A Hatchery is not 400 minerals your obviously a noob.

  • @ShinobiXRevived

Because I made a simple error, I am obviously a noob?

It's funny the noobs are usually the ones first to call people noobs...

  • Well, HD said that already...on the same date -.-

  • The only way this would be useful is if you could set the nydus worm on auto-unload. Or if you're extremely hardup for cash and in a tight spot.

  • man this is great. thank you. seriously.

  • Heres your voice like: My wife sleeps.. damn I fear her so much :(

  • @m3divh ROFL

  • This needs but too much attention to make it work.

  • lol your voice..plz stop using drugs lol

  • @memokk Haha, more like stop being a rapist.

  • you voice sounds like snuffelupecus

    "hi big bird"

    nice vid

  • nice vid

  • WOW epic

  • Very cool strategy. Nice vids.

  • Great tip, man! I have a G15 Logitech keyboard and I wrote a macros which does this trick. So I practically need to hit just one button to perform one cycle.

  • much thanks, awesome

  • OMG awesome !

  • Great tip. I think though this will be hard to use except if you have pretty high APM. But sadly I can see progamers using this, and Blizzard fixing it. Maybe by clearing any min/gas carried by a worker if it passes through a Nydus network.

As I said though, cool beans. ^.^ It's out of the box thinking like this that pioneers tomorrow's standard strats.

  • This is great. I briefl thought about trying this but I didn't think it would be possible and then forgot to think about it some more. Brilliant idea and execution from you, though, that could really surprise an opponent and make him go WTF. Subscribed.

  • Thats a good idea! But i'm a zeg hatter.. i prefer terran =D

  • genius, i'll be giving you a shout out in my next vid for this gem :D

  • Thanks man, that should boost up my popularity a bit. I love your videos btw.. just watched a couple. Keep up the good work.

  • insanely useful tip!
