  • good !!

  • We hate them here too. Pier fishing hasen't been the same. They get real big on Newport jetty. I was chased up the rocks to safety.

  • That salmon was having a REALLY bad day.

  • You both handled that so well. No cussing, calling the sea lion cuss words. May God Bless you both. The sea lion too. Peace

  • mattysco get a life they shouldnt sell these animal ide rather do that 2 u and id b doin the world a favor

  • owned!

  • I realize it's probably maxed out, but that drag sucks. About as smooth as sandpaper.

  • oh man, imagine how screwed that salmon was - a big hook in it's mouth attached to a line which a man is pulling on, and a sea lion chomping the crap out of it at the same time!

  • Oh how I hate sea lions and seals....

  • i hear ya mate see them washed up on my beach front with a bullet wound all the time....stealing the fish they get the bullet. sad yet i love my coho and king in the puget sound.....whuddya do.

  • @jsmith1257 suck it up and deal these r our neighbors they where here before us. shotting them is not and option thank you very much

  • Beautiful! Thanks for not being one of those stupid dolt fishermen who thinks they have the right to kill a sea lion over its natural prey. Thanks for seeing the awesome joy and energy in that scene, and appreciating nature for what she is. It was beautiful, and you are cool to share that footage with us.

  • yay i fought a 20 pound yellowtail for like a good 10 min then a fuckin sealion took it and all i got back was the head there dogs man but there cool

  • Ya but if you look at it naturally they dont have to really hunt anymore. they just have to follow a boat and wait for a hook rather than chase after the fish themselves. Im a fisherman as well and if you watch they just throw the fish of the hook and go after the next line. they are just sea racoons now.

  • damn a seal attacked my smelt net the other day and peoples should shoot these things right away. they are a nasty nuisance and should be slaughtered and their penis sold to the chinese

  • dude! if you named this vid " loch ness monster " it would have looked so cool XD

  • happend to me twice in two weeks in nanaimo it getting very hard to get a spring in in nanaimo

  • dude that happend to me and my dad last week. god damm sealions!

  • Predator verses Predator. Sounds fair to me

  • That happened to me before as well. I hate getting back only the salmons head.... But they got to eat too...

  • Haahaahaa!! I had a harbour seal steal a rock cod from me in Puget Sound! I got to keep the head though..lol.

  • thats scarier then mine when i got a duck lol

  • ahah nice catch dude

  • too bad you can't shoot a sealion....legally.

  • Why are you shooting a sea lion? He is fishing the same as you, with a big difference: he fish to live, you fish to play. I'm a fisher too, and as a fisher, I like to respect the environment, and the sea lion is part of the environment

  • you are a fucken dumb ass

  • Grow up you pseudo-hippy freak.

  • The problem is that sea lion numbers are not being held to a natural, sustainable level because of overprotective regulations and lack of natural predators.

  • they have just as many predators as they always would in nature

  • The person who thinks there is a problem "because of overprotective regulations and lack of natural predators"? Nonsense. Humans are not natural predators of sea lions, and they do not need us to manage them. They are in balance. It is we who keep over-harvesting the salmon.
