I'm asian. I wish my parents were like those asian parents. My parents don't even know what the Ivy league colleges are. I'm very self motivated, but at times i feel lost.
Damn these asian parent's aren't as rough and strict as people make them out to be. Russian parents are far worse. My crazy russian dad has been screaming at me for about 5 years now for me to make it to a top school. I had so many fight with him, but I made it ;)

I got a 1800+ SAT, I was extremely disappointed but my parents' made me feel better. They were happy I tried my best. Now I'm in a univeristy with about 80k scholarship over 4 years.
Brother got a 2170 SAT and my parents' told me stop comparing myself to him because we're different people.
It's just one exam and I feel some parents' overplay its true meaning on a kid's overall application for uni.
WTF..stop calling Chinese,Korean,Vietnamese,Japanese etc. Asian. I am Indian and I am Asian too. Plus not all Asians take this much stress. At least I don't.

@yonex310 These videos kinda motivate me to study a lot. I remember I watched something like this a few weeks ago and then afterward I studied like 12 hours straight that day and 10 hours the next day
scottish system seems so much simpler 5 subjects 1 year (A,B,C,D or no award )then next year 3 harder subjects same grading system :P AAAAA cambridge here i come
@NanaR4742 Don't feel like a slacker chances are going to one of these schools will result in a mountain of debt, which some never come out of. Im not saying slacking is good but there are other ways to make money.This country needs entrepreneurs and skilled workers(Welders,engineers,hvac).Do not rely on any learning institution expecting a huge pay off.You have take whatever school your at and go outside of just the schools curriculum and go above and beyond, be creative,learn specific skills.
