In 1953, at the tender age of 7, I fell in love with Jacques Tati. The love affair continues to this day. My parents, a friend, and I saw Hulot together and it created an inseverable bond. Such brilliance. Incomparable.
I have three DVDs of Jacques Tati, Monsieur Hulot's Holiday, Mon Oncle, and Jour de Poste and when I feel a bit miserable they cheer me right up. A lost genius and a lost time when France was quirky, delicious, and wonderful. The money was all crinkly, the bread superb, the characters... well, so French and style everywhere you looked. Fantastique!
Jacques Tati - a worldwide legend.

You will of course have spotted my deliberate mistake, It was of course Jour De Poste should have been Jour de Fete.
