I'm going to get crucified here for saying this but while he is an awesome drummer and a million times the drummer I'll ever be his style & technique is all thrash & crash with absolutely no finesse. Give me Dave Weckl anyday. Don't get me wrong Michael Schack is @#$%*%# goooooooood!! but I just can't see his wrists lasting as long as Buddy Rich's did!

I hate pure-ists that say "I'd never play on an electric kit." Well, let me tell ya, unless you are micing every drum individually, all drums sound like crap in live situations. Then, you are at the mercy of the board and the operator. Which basically means that the elctronic kit, with all of it's consistency, will actually sound better than most acoustic kits that are mic'd.

Atttack on the tom...in the mix the subtle nuances of the attack are lost - covered up by a vocalist or a guitarist

For me personally it's the ressonance of the pads and the overall look that keeps me away from electric drumsets. The sound does kick-ass though =)

Well you could easily get pads that look like real drum kit except maybe the floor tom, some companys make eletric drum cymbals that look like a real cymbal design logo everything.

this player is awesome ! i got a roland td-6, anybody got advice on a good speaker set up for playing live? i have a KC550 but the more i turn the volume up the bass drum sounds like crap. thanks

Great ultra-solid drumming but I'd rather listen to this on a acoustic kit. The sounds are a bit ridiculous, especially the toms. I mean, what's with the attack? But overall, I really like the playing style

i agree the toms do sound rediculously aggressive but two of my acoustic toms have that attack and the rest are remo weatherking 4 or something and i love the effect for fills with rolls and such

I for one think thats a pretty good snare sound, and realistically you're not going to get PERFECT sounds from these kits, you pay something for the amazing range of voices you get!!

J'étais au drums addict festival et je peux vous dire que ce gars assure vraiment côté prestation ! Son humour est un peu spécial mais il a assuré ! Je comprends pourquoi Roland l'ont choisi lui comme démonstrateur !!!

J'étais présent au Drums Addict Festival 2006, et Michael nous a sorti une prestation extraordinaire. Etonnant personnage, avec un humour parfois un peu limite, mais quel show !!! Tous les gamins se sont rués sur le stand Roland en sortant de la session...

Allez Manu, mets-nous plein d'autres extraits du Drums Addict 2006, pour que ceux qui ne sont pas venus bavent un peu... et viennent en 2007 ;-)

eeeew the snare is so fake sounding. they still havnt perfected that. see my idea is record 10 snare hits and with each peice of the kit. then you might have the real sound to it
