by the way it says 504, because the graphics processor is using it for the graphics processing, if you want to change it (with other laptops or pc's) i believe you press F2 on startup.

Thanks! In the future, most of the laptops will be IBM/Lenovo Thinkpads, because that is what I primarily deal with. Are you looking for something specific?

Don't know what I'm looking for - rugged case at least - I've seen a couple of Toshiba satellites with a smaller profile that seem 'rugged' looking. I'm used to texting a lot so I believe I can sacrifice screen size for long-lasting reliability. Other than that speed and ram amd definitely OEM support discs. But, I am in no hurry - just been watching your vids for months now and I have a level of confidence with you because of that - will keep watching - DAVIDEO

If you are looking at durability, try looking at the Thinkpad line. If you want light and small, take a breeze through the X series. The X30 series might be good for you.
