@sigarsindre this is very common on old cars that still have the original catalytic converter, I would be willing to bet the cat is simple old and is unable to convert all the hydrocarbons at high rpms.

But if you put a northic drifter behind the steering wheel and make him/her drift on snow, it's pretty sure that he will drive on the track, all the way to the goal.
