The Thomanerchor, the choir of the Thomasküche, was fouded in 1212 and is one of the oldest and most famous boy´s choirs in Germany.

It is a real joy to listen to their magnificent rendition!

I personally think that it was incredibly good in singing sound quality, but that at very few places they seems to be sining too fast and a bit loss control. Don't really know if it is correct to say so, but around 1:30 to 2:00 they seems to sing really fast. Otherwise it was spectacular.

c'est tout de même incroyable que dans les lieux même du travail de J.S Bach , on donne encore aujourd'hui une interprétation qui ne soit pas sur instruments anciens et avec un chef qui travaille encore à la baguette.....interprétation complètement anachronique lourde malgré les très belles voix du Tomanerchor . Visiblement la nouvelle réflexion sur l'oeuvre de Bach n'est pas encore parvenue sur les terres même du cantor

Vas vite visiter la Thomaskirche et aprends les conditions acustiques de cette église, et tu verras et ecouteras que cette interpretation là est tt a fait correcte! Bach detestait toujours le mauvais état des instruments qu'il avait, de l'orgue jusqu'à la flute piccolo! Il aurait bien adoré cette interpretation sauf les "tres belles voix" du Thomanerchor qui sont assez fatigués à la fin (écoute bien à partir de 4:10 !)
