If you'll notice, a lot of drummers who do covers of hillsong improvise a lot on the covers, not because they're difficult, but because they're rather repetitive and boring.

If you want to tune your drums on a low tone,you've got to buy remo or evans head.

The best thing you can do is tune them in a cross. 1 2 3 3 2 1

The first thing is tune them without your tuning key but by hand. If it isn't a nice sound, you don't have it thight enough. It has to be on BOTH heads ( Bottom ). Then you take your tuning key and just give it a tick. 1/10 of 360 degrees. I see you later ;p

For the question about the fast rolls. I do straight single rolls; i dont let the drumsticks bounce. i use all wrist. My open rolls aren't very good :( but i've been practicing them :D

I have a question. When you are playing fast on your snare and toms, are you letting the drum sticks bounce twice like for a roll, or are you just moving your wrists fast? I've been trying to practice getting faster but I'm having no luck with it. Anyways, awesome video. You are really talented and looking to future videos.

yeah do single strokes...unless it's incredibly fast like Buddy Rich solos or something they are probably using single strokes. Get a smal practice pad and play whenever you can. It makes a world of difference...yeah good playing drums...those coated EC2's you got there?

u should use ur ride more.. especially the part where it goes.. "we're lookin to the sky above, wondering where my life has been..." u should use the fat part of ur stick and hit the end of the ride to make a long resounding ring and use 8th notes... helps keep the drums more in balance wit the song and not so out there all the time... but otehr than that.. good job bro..

what are those fills you are doing? I've tried to learn this song forever and I never knew the right type of fills for the continuous bridge part, the "when i look into the skies..." part. Are they just simple single strokes or triplets or what?

I think I was able to get that part mostly down pat - and I did transcribe that part onto a midi file. If you like I could email it to you if you want (and if you have a program that can display midi notation then you could read it too!).

i just practiced rudiments a lot. I looked at tons of videos and tried mimicking techniques of professional drummers. I never practice till it hurts; i always stayed relaxed and focused on proper technique. hope that helps!
