  • wats this all about?

  • about the pursuit of truth, the origin of life, the purpose of life, etc

  • this video has opened my eyes.... thank you

  • :) cool, if you are starting to investigate the origins of life and purpose of life, let me know and I will be more then happy to tell you what I have studied and where it has led me. I'm here to help! God Bless you.

  • You now rest in that acceptance of your fallacious & heretical beliefs about God, no longer desiring to learn about God, but rather defend your own belief rather then trying to gain understanding. My friend, if you don't see God as pure glory, you don't see Him rightly. I pray that u will come to see Him for who He REALLY is, then u will not be able to stop yourself from falling in love with Him, as He is perfect. Which is also why we sometimes struggle to understand His perfect will and wisdom.

  • Even if you got a living cell, emptied it into a suitable solution, what is going to put those pieces together again? Nothing, as there is nothing that would put them together and they CANNOT put 'themselves' together. That requires outside assistance. I.E God.

  • How can inanimate matter assemble 'itself'? It can't, it doesn't, it wouldn't. To create purposeful matter that will work with other matter to serve a purpose and to put it together requires an intelligence. Non-intelligence results in disorder, Intelligence results in order.

  • It also means that God is directly responsible for EACH AND EVERY abortion, or death in general. On top of that a being cannot logically be omnipotent and omniscient. Example: Say he knows he's going to smite Person X on Tuesday by being omniscient. But on Tuesday he decides not to, being omnipotent and therefore able to disprove his own foreknowledge. But in disproving that foreknowledge he has proven himself NOT omniscient.

  • Again your statement exposes the fact that you haven't asked as many question as you should, instead you have settled in judgment, resulting in only a basic theology (understanding of God)

As for God being responsible for every abortion, there is one context that you can apply that to, in that God 'allows' everything that happens, because He choices to allow us to have free-will, we then use that will to take the life of a child.

  • So in a very small way, you could say God is responsible, but generally, that is completely wrong, I like to be opened to all the contexts a statement can be made in, but you have to go with the main context, which is: If your friend asks you "can I watch TV when I go home?" and you say "Yeh, I'm not going to control your life, its up to you"

  • Then he goes home and watches tv, who would you blame? Yourself for letting him run his own life? Or him for choosing to watch tv? Obviously the burden of responsibility rests upon the person who took the decision and committed that action, not the person who refused to control the person.

  • bascially you have two choices.

    1) Believe some people in white coats who have changed their minds more then a schizophrenic and believe that you will never face judgement, so you can do what you want, as long as no one else finds out.

    2) Realize that the complexity of this world is the result of intelligence. And that just as you can look down on an ant, there is also a being looking down at you. Then face up to your sin and live God's way, live for love, righteousness, holiness, sinlessness

  • Typical with us or against us, Christian mud slinging. Yes scientists change their minds a lot, but that's because we are proven wrong and adjust accordingly! Not you people.

  • I didn't know you were raised Catholic, I admit, I don't agree with their theology at all. And view their churches as dead. That is why I am a Christian, that is why I love God. I'm not going to be burned to rid myself of sin before I can enter heaven as I am covered by the blood of the Lamb and am forgiven of EVERYTHING. God doesn't use the threat of purification in hell to motivate you to seek righteousness, He uses His grace. I love Him for forgiving me. I serve out of love not fear.

  • Although I wouldn't expect a person at your stage to understand the things of God, I sure didn't, I was exactly the same as you, probably worse. But when I actually humbled myself and listened to both sides, then investigated the faith, in others words started seeking God, I found Him. As it says in scripture "seek and you will find" And that will be your proof, I can't prove to you God exists, only God can do that, but that will never happen, unless you humble yourself and ask, what if?

  • "And if indeed God exists as depicted in the Bible, he's a homicidal egomaniac."

According to your ignorance theology yes. You know the problem here. You have come to a conclusion about God before even asking questions, you presume, you don't go to someone who actually knows what they are talking about and ask them. You instantly pass judgment out of ignorance and in arrogance claim you know what you are talking about.

  • DO NOT TELL ME WHAT QUESTIONS I HAVE AND HAVE NOT ASKED. I was raised a Roman Catholic, I swallowed the garbage for years, and I currently go to evangelical school. I had my doubts before entering but only AFTER I went to this school did I turn full blown atheist. You can't take all your facts from a collection of writings from mankind's intellectual infancy.

  • so many questions that you don't even know God wouldn't prove His existence as it would take away free-will? Thats very, very basically theology. So i will say what questions you haven't asked, those who make there minds up, instead of asking questions, are those who turn atheist, while those who stay humble and dig dipper with more questions, are those who come to truly know God.

I havent settled in judgment, I pursue in humility. Accepting, there is A VAST amount of theology I am yet to learn

  • I'm an atheist BECAUSE I asked questions. If I didn't I'd be another mindless drone worshipping your half baked deity. First of all if God (as you Christians portray him) exist then free will CAN'T. He knows and has already chosen when each person dies, what the future will be, EVERYTHING. Logically, this means that every actions we take to prevent a person from dying is going against God's plan, because our action or inaction, and their life or death, is already determined.

  • No my friend, your an atheist because you passed judgment. And as soon as you did that, you stopped asking questions and therefore stopped learning. Instead of pursuing truth and knowledge in humility, you pursued no more and made your mind up about God, deciding then an there, without sufficient knowledge or theology that you knew enough to come to a conclusion, despite the fact you obviously don't know enough, as you theology is so weak.

  • Excuse my bluntness, but it was in pride and arrogance, that out of ignorance, you drew a conclusion, instead of accepting you lack of knowledge in humility. You settled in judgment and made your mind up well before you could come to a good understanding of God. The devil has come and snatched away the word and the truth about God from your heart and sown negitive lies about God in you. Which instead of challenging, you have accepted.

  • And actually I base that statement on your own religious teachings. They state quite frankly that Jehovah created us for the purpose of glorifying him. That's fairly ego-maniacal. What's more at multiple times in the bible he orders genocide, serial killing, and overall kills more people than all the human dictators of history combined.

  • It does not matter to me what everyone else is doing, non-believers may think its ok to do certain things because "everybody does it" and they think that, because they want an excuse to do what isn't right, they need excuses to do what is wrong. But as a Christian, I have no excuse and I always look in the perfect moral mirror of God's word to see how immoral I really am, rather then looking into the useless moral mirror of society and claiming I am moral.

  • And you seem to think people don't believe in god just so they can live in depravity. That's insane. I for one don't believe in God (in particular the Christian one) because the very concept of a deity makes no sense. It's an insult to the intelligence we were fortunate enough to develop that anyone should believe in such a concept, never mind be forced to do so, or to suffer because they don't at the hands of those that do.

  • It makes perfect sense to me. We just have two different ways of thinking. You think, that somehow, we won the cosmic lottery and for the first and only time in all of history, an explosion created order rather then disorder, completely accidentally. And that all the factors required for a inhabitable environment formed by mere chance, despite vasts odds against such a thing occurring.

  • Then after we won the cosmic lottery trillions of times over which created a perfectly inhabitable environment. We won again, by also having a living, evolving being form, again accidentally. That thought is offensive to my intelligence, complexity and order of such vast measures cannot occur by accident. A billion monkeys will never accidentally write the works of Shakespeare and the universe would never accidentally create all we see.

  • This is a brilliant video, sir.

  • this one is nothing really, just something i threw together, my other video "The Heavens Declare the Glory of God!" took a while though, check that out if you haven't already and thank you for the compliment! :) God Bless you

  • Religion is made by idiots, for idiots.

  • yeh, like love thy neighbour as thy self, how stupid is that! And don't even get me started on look after the widows and the orphans! Only idiots would ever follow such teachings.

  • Sorry this was posted on wrong video. This was actully suposed to be posted on a video of some christian messing about gay people going to hell. Sorry!

  • no worries ^^ God Bless

  • Science has 'no idea' where space, matter and time came from, they affectively say "from nothing" as all they can say is there was a big bang. The miracle is that from that explosion came order, never in all of history has an explosion brought about intelligently constructed and complex matter by accident. Explosions bring about disorder not order.

  • Even Richard Dawkins, the most ridiculous atheist out there wouldn't ever claim that he knows for sure there is no God.

As the Bible say "only a fool says in his heart "there is no God"" The idea that the vast complexity of this world and us came by accident is completely ridiculous, as you will discover as soon as you start thinking about it.

  • Richard Dawkins is BRILLANT. And no we don't know for sure that there is no god. THat conclusion is just what can be drawn from teh facts. Its possible that eons from now we'll find proof of such a thing. Its highly improbable but there's a chance. And that's the rub, us atheists accept the idea we might be wrong, since we base our views on the conclusions drawn from current facts. You on the other hand create a conclusion, find menial facts to support it, and don't move from it no matter what.

  • "and don't move from it no matter what" you are generalizing too much, as not everyone who gains faith, keeps the faith, that's a fact. And Richard Dawkins isn't brilliant, he's a very angry old man who really needs a hug. Un-respected by every 'un-biased' scientist. Richard has a vendetta that warps the way he thinks and presents evidence, his goal is not truth, it is to destroy faith, that's not science.

  • Fair enough on the generalization, as I used to be Christian myself. But mostly I was talking about creation scientists. And while I'll admit that trying to destroy faith is not in and of itself science, nor is trying to create faith. And if faith is destroyed in the process of finding the truth, that is science. Elsewise we'd all still think the earth was the flat center of the universe.

  • Agreed, truth is truth, fact is fact. However, what we can call a fact is very limited due to the limited amount of evidence we can examine. If you take one piece of a billion piece jig-saw puzzle, you should never claim that your idea of what the big picture looks like, is a fact. As that is plain arrogance. As is Richard Dawkins. And just so you know, a pursuit of the truth would not destroy my faith, it's what gave me faith. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.

  • And again the evidence we have now points against ALL religions. Amazing claims need amazing evidence. So far we are the only ones with enough evidence to make any claims at all.

  • There is no evidence for where everything came from, science has no clue. And yes amazing claims require amazing evidence, but saying that a vastly complex construction was put together by something intelligence is not an amazing claim, it's logical & once you realise this, you wont need any evidence at all, as it is obvious. An explosion in a printing-press doesn't make the Oxford Dictionary, a tornado through a junk yard doesn't assemble a 747 & a big bang doesn't assemble the universe & us!

  • Just because there is no evidence one way or another on that particular issue, does not make your idea instantly true. Things that are not known, are simply that. Not known. As to the amazing claims I was actually refering to religion in general.

  • Just because we don't KNOW how the universe started doesn't mean we need to make up some cosmic placeholder. What's more, this placeholder is a homicidal egomaniac, and whenever a new fact is discovered, he retreats further back into the shadows cast by that new fact. It serves no practical purpose.

  • you are very, very ignorant. God is real, accept it or not. Live a life of sin and see what happens. God help you.

  • Prove he exists. That's all you need to do. Get some solid evidence and make a good case. As for sin, don't act like morality is objective, it just makes you look foolish. And if indeed God exists as depicted in the Bible, he's a homicidal egomaniac.

  • Prove he doesn't. And dont gimme that, its your claim you prove it, as we both have claims, you claim He doesn't, I claim He does.

But there will never be a way to completely prove He exists, as it would take away our free-will to choose Him. And God doesn't want robots.

And in regards to sin, I tell you now, if you don't follow God, you will be less moral. As God is the creator of morality and has perfect morality, while humans have a fallen and evil nature, FAR from perfect morality.

  • With the vast limitations of human knowledge, there is only one true way to know the truth of our existence. And that is through an all-knowing intelligence.

  • However there is no true limit to what humans can learn. Intelligent life has limitless potential for creation, destruction, and innovation. As there is no all-knowing being, it is our job as beings that know more than usual, to come as close to that as possible.

  • "However there is no true limit to what humans can learn"

of course there is! Don't you know we are finite beings? Our minds can only understand, comprehend and/or remember so much. Or so little as it were.

"As there is no all-knowing being"

Anyone who has spent any time meditating on the existance of God would never, ever say such a thing, as anyone who has thought about it, knows they cannot make such a claim.

  • What, you're going to leave us on a cliffhanger?!

And now I have a question for you: WHY do you believe in god? Why? How do you know he exists?

  • Actually when I made this video, I didn't know. Which is why it's only questions. But now I know for one simple reason. I looked for him...

    "seek and you will find"

"knock and the door will be answered"

    "ask and you will receive"

If you seek God with your heart, he will reveal himself to you and now, I live being touched by God/Jesus on a daily basic where I want to cry with joy and shout with passion. Its the most life transforming experience I have ever had.

  • I will also be creating a series of mind movies for specific things like kindness, compassion, love, patience, happiness, passion, enthusiasm, etc.
