dynamite is nitroglycerine contained in a tube (cardboard or paper) with inert filler to stabalize it. but it is still farly unstable, especially if its old as the nitro will break down. making it very easy to detonate by accident.
Dynamite is not unstable "Mad". Nitroglycerin is unstable, but that is avoided by using filler agents in the cartridge which are all mixed. Millions of pounds of dynamite would not be used every year in every state if it was "unstable". Come on.
It made one hell of a bang, we stuffed a lot of TNT into that watermelon and after the massive bang it started raining rocks and watermelon fragments on us but I have still got my hearing. Best $14I ever spent! =)
