Well it would be nice to make tunnel so you can make your house safer and make a roof cause I'm not really in a mood for a creeper in the house when I'm sleeping

y not instead of dirt use sand or gravel cause they follow the gravity rules

@barrykiller8 It would work, but the delay from when you place sand and when it falls (it's less than a second) annoys me.

From the outside and then dig towards it then up then get rid of the dirt and fill in the hole u used to get in

To make it legitly under water put glass 1 space from the top fill it with dirt 1 layer before top of water then dig under fro

I've found it easier to make really deep glass structures underwater by doing the same general thing you did, but to fill it with dirt, put a glass roof on it, then dugging UNDER the structure and hollow out the dirt. Same thing, takes a LOT longer because you'd need to go up for air, but it saves you from having to build all the way up to the surface.
