  • BADASS

  • yes, agreed, sorry bud, but you are doing declines which is a little easier....you are not quite doing a flat BP...

  • hes bridging / lifting his back off the bench which is bad for his back and hes no longer using his pectoralis major and using more of his lower body to lift and hes not even close to going down all the way and hes bouncing off his chest alot which can break Ur sternum, Bad lift soldier.

  • poor form all the way

  • got to keep that butt down bro

  • i honestly dont see what the problem is with lifting ur back off if ur built long and lean like some ppl. we cant all be bull dozers

  • @specie44 because it turns it into decline basically, especially when you are touching below your nipples at that angle.

  • I'm in the army and can do this

  • @DSmokeZz for reps? doubt it, if so prove it

  • @tankthecane82 4 reps.

  • @DSmokeZz no video, no proof.

  • strong no doubt. not the strongest in the Army by a long stretch. Also Squat or Deadlift much?

  • while i don't agree with the but off the bench, you are nonetheless strong.

  • ummmm nice form bro ass nothing touching the bench but your shoulder blades :/ by far not the strongest in the army

  • 480 myassthats 120

  • how much can he squat

  • Pussy, I can do 4000 and I got a bigger gun than you soldier boy, its a 7 foot pea shooter

  • KILLER BENCH

  • either way, thats pretty friggin strong

  • ok guys go arch your back and if your lifting the same weight ill give you a thumbs up this guy is STRONG

  • Sweet dude!!! Arched back or not i could only deam of lifting that sort of weight!! Ignore these Keyboard warriors where is there videos?? no where they probably sit at home with all the inhancers and whey products and just watch people lift weight!!

  • looks funny but he probs doesn't even realise he's doing it while he's doing it...

  • When you arch your back off the bench like he is, it is making it as if he's doing a decline benchpress rather than a flat benchpress. Most guys are stronger on the decline because lower chest muscles are usually stronger.

  • Okay, so those reps wouldn't count in competition, but it's really a matter of balance and leverage. Weight lifting is the only sport where you can cheat a little and still manage to improve yourself.

  • yeah its fine to lift your butt up, just dont call it a bench press. No competition official would award this as a lift. Bench Press Rule #2: "The lifter must lie on his back with head, shoulders and buttocks in contact with the bench surface. The feet must be flat on the floor (as flat as the shape of the shoe will allow)..."-International Powerlifting Federation Technical Rule Book

  • yes sir im on fb diesle cliff ck me out

  • has he got a very small boner

  • ATTENTION ALL: US SOLDIERS LIKE TAKING IT IN THEIR ASS!

  • @soldier1661 Hey you goddamn Canadian creampie, I suggest you shut your fucking mouth before THIS U.S. Soldier bends you over and shows you how it's done.

  • @dumbenoughou812

    fuck you faggot.

  • shut the fuck up about his butt not being off the bench. when you lift 405 ONE TIME then maybe have something critical to say

  • @TapoutTanK52 i lift 405 incline and i tell yuh he lifting wrong although notting is written in stone if it works for him its ok.

  • @MrDieselmac 405 Incline? WTF

  • but the real question is can you pass a pt test? jk! that's freakin awesome

  • Mate. You are lifting your back right off the bench. Not good.

  • @fordorish you can do that, its part of the technique, especially for heavy pressing

  • @fordorish piss off wanker, you read the top comment it helps so fuck off

  • @fordorish Arching your back off the bench is actually perfect form and makes the lift safer.. protects your shoulders and doesn't do any harm to your back.

  • @fordorish WEll umm.. he does that to decline the lift. So its easier. Its not bad form its just a way of benching....

  • @fordorish Tilting your back is fine aslong as your bum touches the bench :P

  • no your right, because I dont know about reps. What I do know they lift more, but not how many times. And no, the people Im talking about don't take steroids.

    Whats your max?

  • I wish my arms were shorter

  • he is using a power lifter form, it gains no size what so ever, its just an easy way to get it up

  • @GeorgeyBoy2 he would've got 3 red light lifting like that.... thats not powerlifting form, thats asshole form.

  • some of the worst form possible, this is what we call a bar humper, take 50 pounds off and do it again, you keep using that form, you are going to get injured and no longer serving this great nation

  • really? 405 pounds is the record in the U.S. Army? I know at least 2 friends who can lift over that

  • @ashilakadze1 that can lift it 8 times? and have a stable enough heart to run a mile without collapsing from steroid abuse? cus there aren't that many out there

  • i dont thing he had his glutes off the bench hing enough...

  • his ass didnt touch the bench once lol

  • That's a decline bench press not a normal bench press.

  • @Ragamuffyn Nah bro, its a normal press.

  • @Ragamuffyn its just normal bt for a no apparent reason hes thrusting the air...

  • First thing, Its perfectly normal to use your legs it just means you lift a little more weight. Personal trainers who dont know anything say not to. And second hes doing 405 for reps if he was going to hurt his back he would have alredy done it by now, thats a very advanced level of strength

  • @chadz393 Type in "Ryan Kennelly 400 x20"

  • @cormegaful Kennellys an animal no doubt but isnt he like a world record holder in the bench?i think this guy is doing extremly well, he looks quite a bit smaller than kennelly aswell

  • @chadz393 Yeah, he has the assisted bench record with the shirt. And yeah, this guy probably weighs less than Kennelly for sure.

  • Try 4 with your back on the bench and see what happens.

  • theres a sophomore in my high school that can max 405

  • put yo back down NIGGA

  • @MrSlyNigga thats a legal form of benching, i work out with successful body builders at my gym and thats how they bench.

  • @jipps36 its legal? why are you talking about body builders, they dont follow any rules when it comes to lifting, they just care about getting bigger. If your ass comes off the bench its not a good lift. In fact its a bad lift. If you want to lift big you should not be doing what a bodybuilder does. Find someone else to look at. Or if your goal is size then keep at it.

  • @jipps36 well i don't think it's bad, but in power lifting that would be considered a scratch... you can arch you're back but they won't let you lift your ass lol

  • @MrSlyNigga Stupid. Its a perfected form to arch your back and slightly tuck your shoulders in when your blasting 405 on top of your upper body, are seriously trying to get injured with the comment.

  • I have seen stronger soldiers in the army. Not too much stronger, but these guys are getting stronger by the day.

  • actually when you arch your back it helps you get more explosive in your tris, its as long as you keep your butt on the bench

  • @thesouth90 i can see his ass shadow hows that possible if his butts on the bench?

  • @thesouth90 the main point of arching your back is to shorten the distance you have to lift and activate your lats.

  • @thesouth90 How convenient that that's how PL competition rules go isn't it?

It doesn't help you get anything, it lets you move more weight because the press is more declined and the ROM much shorter. It used to be called cheating, but now that it's sanctioned by official powerlifting federations it's called powerlift-style.

  • Put your fucking back on the bench.

Good lift but that is cheating

  • dude keep your back on the bench dammm

  • @milehighclubmember1 back doesnt matter butt does and what does it matter hes not powerlifting.

  • this is still amazing but youre gonna fuck your back up doin that

  • @BlueDrankFX Actually you dont know anything that doesnt affect your back, try doing some research before you make a claim. kthx

  • @TeamRussianSambo theres a diff between putting an arch on and doing this

  • @BlueDrankFX Of course there is, this doesnt affect the human spine. Over a period of 5 years maybe.

  • Just to think one little bullet could kill him 0_o

  • Really bad form. Your back should NEVER leave the bench. That's why it's called BENCH pressing...not weight pressing! smh In actuality, he only benched maybe 3 times.

  • His form is fine. Dumbasses.

  • @LeeTheGreat100 no its not lol

  • @IPLAYRB2 Besides the fact that his ass is off the bench it's fine. But it's not a powerlifting meet so who cares. The weight is on his upper back, his back is tight, elbows tucked. That's fine, it's not a bodybuilding style bench to isolate the chest it's a bench press where he's using his entire body. Google powerlifting bench presses and you'll see what I'm talking about. It uses the triceps and lats more.

  • 405 is impressive, but ur form is HORRIBLE, work on that first then the strength will come. When u use correct form u work the intended muscle for that work out.

  • @jamrockingston Well said, but prepare for the hordes of braindead flamers. They will see "form is HORRIBLE" and think "But he's strong... this guy doesn't know what he's talking about. Strong like bull = good job!" They will ignore the logic and warning you just gave and rage you for not riding the guys dick for pressing up big weight. You should probably ignore your inbox from now on.

  • @jamrockingston

I dont think your necessarily saying that benching 405 is easy or possible if you just simply use bad form. but if theres anyone that thinks that think again, unless you are huge or really strong like this guy. i mean with bad form i can maybe bench like 10 or 15 more pounds maybe? i dont know

  • hes strong but sgt fitz is stronger

  • That's good and all, but there's no reason to be that big in the military. It's rare you see guys this big in the military. Why? Because you need to be quick. If you're carrying all that muscle it's only going to slow you down which, obviously, is not good in combat situations. Granite there are those guys who can be built and quick, but a lot of them aren't. Props to this guy for benching that much though.

  • He alright he definatly can't compare to the USMC Body Bearers

  • his form is pretty bad but im still impressed. with ass coming off the bench plus full reps he would have put it up for about 5or 6.

  • Strong, but your ass is way too far off the bench. It's practically a decline bench when you do that.

  • Are you bodybuilding or strength training? you lift more then most NFL linebackers...very impressive, what's your job in the army that requires your to be huge unless its just because your gym junkie?

  • @bigceej69 "Optimum force production" - Lol'd. Did you inject roids in your brain or what? Cause you pull the 'retard' card before even bothering to read anything I've said. Let me dumb it down for you. I don't care what that shit does to increase your strength one valid point still remains: That form will fuck you up. Arched back, yeah, maybe. Ass flying in the air? -.- Check with any professional and they will roll their eyes at you for being an idiot. You fucking retard.

  • Dont get mad cus ur form is horrible, u not impressing anyone guy, everyone on here is saying the same thing, practice good form,

  • look at the spotters shirt from the breathing lol

  • It's impressive, but it would be more impressive if your back was flat on the bench.

  • @RyougaSadou Its still 400 lbs

  • For an ass in the air bench, this is pretty impressive. 99% of the form police couldn't do this in a METAL shirt. Yall niggas be hating.

  • no offense but why are you so cocky? all these comments telling people how big you are and the title of this video? not really necessary.

  • Its cool to arch the back bu keep your ass on the bench my man.

  • @RyougaSadou Post up your perfect bench form then, big man.

  • @ElliotArden Just read my other comments and save me time.

  • Great lift but keep your ass to the bench. You'll blow your latissimus dorsi like me if you don't. The legs tucked back is right though for power benching. You need 5 points of contact during a good bench. Both shoulders, head, ass & feet. Try hand strength exercises too they actually help way more then you'd think!

I don't do it for show or pure strength anymore but at my best I was at 305lbs and only weigh 156-157lbs. I'm also a certified personal trainer as well before you ask what I know:)

  • @Noraa666 hand strenght exercises r really good indeed but also a key point r the wrists, the upperbody and arms may be strong but strong wrists will also improve the benchpress a lot

  • Keep your butt on the seat, use good form and iill be impressed until then you get no credit

  • Mr. C. Perdue, i'm a soldier also and I once benched 405lbs while stationed at Ft. Knox in 2004 along with 1SG J. Markle and DS(SFC) P. Ballard. We were very strong because we had a gym in the barracks we were assigned to work in with injured soldiers. Most people lift to build muscle, I lift for power. Thats just me!!! Stay Army Strong!!!

  • that was a sick lift...

judging by many of the comments here, the "hater" mentality is completely out of control

  • your ass should be on the bench!!! if not that can cause back problems!!! wow

  • not just strong army strong

  • man, EVERYBODY WHO IS HATING ON HOW HE IS BENCHING...LET ME SEE ANYONE OF YOU.. HAVE THE SAME FORM AS HIM...AND PUT IT UP ONCE!! ALWAYS A HATER... sTAY STRONG MANE!

  • hey is he samoan?? he lucks like my bro..that i was stationed with

  • Good control. Yes his rear got a bit light but a simple foot position fix and its touching bench. Keep up the good work.

  • fuck the u.s army.

  • @soldier1661 Fuck Allah , Us Army kill sand niggers, RAG HEAD!

  • hey man never mind his 'form' he is one strong dude !!

  • @RyougaSadou ok, but could you do the same weight he does with good or bad form. if so, than sorry. if not then shut the fuck up.

  • @The39chief Ok, but could you read any of my comments that referred to the subject of me pushing the same weight? If not, then please do. If so, then shut the fuck up.

  • ????? its a very good form!!!!

  • @RyougaSadou dont know what your talking about fail

  • @4641846 I don't? Damn... I guess me, like 6 trainers, the internet, and all my other form sources are wrong. I guess you, the douchebags that can't admit their flaws, and this guy are completely right. Please, bench weight like this, then talk shit to me when you're 60. Like I give a shit what your back feels like later in life, I was trying to help but everyone would rather "be right" than admit flaws

  • its called flat bench press for a reason

  • @RyougaSadou

THe dude is benching like a powerlifter. His form is fine. Hes benching my deadlift weight.

  • @FieldBoy111 If by "his form is fine" you mean it will get the job done till he's about 50-60 when the back problems start coming in. Then yes, I completely agree.

  • Does being that big help in the army?

  • WHAT'S AMAZING ISN'T HIM BENCHING 405. BUT THESE BULLSHIT ASS COMMENTS.

I couldn't get it off the rack let alone put it back up there without the whole batallion helping me. This man is fighting for our country.....WHAT THE FUCK HAVE YOU DONE.

  • @RyougaSadou I would love to see you do this weight and then have it fall on your chest and crush you. Your a troll who knows everything about form but hasn't ever lifted in his life. And I'm pretty sure theres a big difference between cheat curls and doing 405 pound bench presses for reps.. Your probably just some fat, stingy, dumb cunt. You mirin his weight? Yeah you mirin.

  • @Nickreedyt Nobody actually reads what is said. They pick out a word then write me a rage essay. Go fuck yourself douchebag unless you actually have a point. He's buff, obviously. That we have established. His form is bad, CLEARLY! Which is my point and a point that will be backed up by countless trainers. No I can't lift that weight, when did I say I could? Now stfu. All I'm saying (for the last time) his form will result in injury. If he's fine with that then fuck it, and fuck you.

  • @RyougaSadou :)

  • @RyougaSadou Quit Being A Hater

  • @champtucker66 Just sayin. Again not saying he's weak, just saying his form is off. Sure he can drop my ass in a second but wtf does that have to do with what I said? Bad form = Bad problems later in life. If he's fine with that then fk it, but again.. just sayin -.-

  • thats who i want protecting me. y is it the people i know in the army play psp and go on facebook while there "guarding" something th entire time. y we pay taxes on that is besides the point. what i dont get is why they arent forced to keep doing some training wile there on there ass

  • Stop bitching about his form. Yes his ass came off the bench. It wouldn't count in a competition, but that's not what he's trying to prove. What he is proving is that he is strong as fuck. It's not like lifting his ass took him from 2 plates to 4.

  • Comment removed

  • don't you just hate it when you're working out and a random guy video tapes you ?

  • stop using pounds u stupid americans!

  • Strongest soldier in the army? i doubt it

  • Half the comment on his "terrible form" are from people who probably don't even work legs. Go do some research on proper "bench form" before you spread your bro-science.

  • he only has to drop the bar down like 6 inches cause he is like a freaking trex and his chest makes him look like he is pumping roids lol!

  • wow there are some retards out there, yeh he's got a pretty strong arch but their aint nothing wrong with that he's back on his traps shoulders pinned back and he's lifting in powerlifting form this is not no lift material and i urge those who think it smart to comment that BS FORM GO TO A COMP YOU GOT NO CLUE or some shite like that to view this video and please by all means tell ryan kennelly his form is wrong. /watch?v=cGIPKxYIFJU&feature=related

  • for all you douchebags out there claiming this is "horrible form" and it = no lift need to start attending some power lifting competitions. this form is perfect power form...nice solid base, shoulders pinched, laying on the traps. you dont move weight like that and get that big by useing bad form or by only useing steroids if thats what the dude uses. i want to see vids of you punks pressing some real weight...then maybe you can argue..

  • @lcht2 Form otherwise good but ass out of the bench = always no lift.

  • @lcht2 He's buff, he has partial good form, and he lifts way more than me. Point proven. Now if you will stop comparing his dick to ours maybe you can fucking listen. His form will result in injury. Did I say BECAUSE he has bad form that his weight is invalid? Hell no, this guy is beast. But I ( and a lot of others) are warning him that this will fuck him up. If he doesn't care about the future than more power to him. But for those that value youth, heed our warning.

  • @lcht2 I thought if your butt comes off the seat your eliminated though

  • @lcht2 yes this guy is strong indeed and his form is correct exept for the fact that he is suppose to keep his butt on the bench

  • @RyougaSadou this is a power form, not a bodybuilding form...this form allows you to generate power all through your body instead of just your chest and delts like you would do if you were a bodybuilder. oh and swinging a dumbell is entirely different from useing your entire body to bench...you gonna tell scott mendelson his bench press record = fail?? no.

  • @lcht2 Power form or not this will still fuck up your body. Didn't say his bench fails, said if he was trying to show that he can bench (I consider "bench" to be with normal/good form) it was a fail. He can press the weight up like this, yes, but with normal/good form I'm sure it would drop significantly. You're right swinging a dumbbell is "different" but the same bad form concept applies. You lift giant weight, but when using good form the weight is a bit heavier.

  • @RyougaSadou terrible form but the guy is still pretty strong

  • @RyougaSadou ummmm i guess my "bad form" got me real big!! Its funny cause everyone can correct people for having their ass up but do you correct people for not properly using their pecs. "Everyone" benches with a flat back and uses their front delts instead of pinning shoulders underneath them and using their pecs to push with. Just thinking out loud sorry

  • @cperdue1922 I correct both actually, not that I'm a buff badass with perfect bodybuilding knowledge but still... And I know dude, you're clearly big. I'm just saying you can be equally strong if you start out with good form and work up that way. Another benefit to good form is your body wont be fucked up later in life, just sayin haha. Work out as you will but I just can't hold my tongue when I see someone heading towards injury :P

  • @cperdue1922 Agree. Well, not anyone. At least someone fit enough able to perform the exercise as Army guy could achieve similar results, thus using your back can cause serious injury. More power to him! Been there done that, then again I dabbled in juice sciences a very long time ago. In which I now discourage others from not doing the same as I for health reasons.

  • @cperdue1922 ummmmmm yes your strong but thats a no lift because your butt left the bench,

  • @cperdue1922 Fuck the hater... that's some impressive shit... bad form or not. I can't do that shit.

  • @cperdue1922 brudda, you get some mighty big titties by doing that! hahaa, good work! what's your weight?

  • everyone benches with a flat back on bench press because your supposed to guy.. if u want to use ur pecs better they have a bench for that its called DECLINE, which is basically what your doin, i can lift 405 solid 5 times with perfect form, im sure i can lift it 8 times on decline tho, ur form is horrible bro, try again

  • @AkA5u1c1d3 Bullshit.

  • keep your ass down, scrub

  • Arch your back some more, strong yes but that won't fly in a real competition

  • Yea alot of yall talking shit about his form, but that still is 405 damn pounds!! So if you not lifting more than that, you might want to shut the F*** up.

  • alright let me arch my whole body off the bench so i only have to barly bend my arms

  • Glutes not on bench = no lift.

  • are you just asking to be urine tested for steroids?

  • @mada7122 let me guess the 300lbs pro bodybuilder that is on active duty is all natural right?

  • @cperdue1922 no, and neither are you

  • @mada7122 your a moron

  • beast. awesome job dude

  • ya he's gonna have back problems in no time with that ass up in the air like that.. and if you were competing then they would red light ya on the spot. but not my body just giving a heads up

  • somewhat impressive even though the form sucked. instead or measuring your penis from the anus and saying its 12",, measure from the base and have an 8"er. same difference.

  • @Friday13thTaurus Eric openly admits he cycles prohormones but your guess is as good as mine

  • @Friday13thTaurus Agreed, hicksons the man when it comes to deadlifting, has a pretty descent squat but needs work on his bench, Now on the other hand his buddy eric lilliebridge is a beast in all 3 lifts
