  • haha lion at 2:18 is like wtf

  • The chick is hot.

  • an eyetearser but a very beautiful story. two thumbs up for the story writer

  • omg she kill kenny!!!!

  • 9:39 cool a free skate board!

  • That's weird. I thought this was gonna be a remake of the 50's Little Girl Lost.

  • this one's boring

  • whoever doesnt like the twilight zone is a closed minded moron. thans saturnfrost for this upload :)

  • @SuperInfinityJordan This episode focuses too much on the opportunities we have lost rather than the changes we can make for the future. In this respect, the classic TZ episodes do a much better job. For example, the episode Walking Distance focuses on keeping our head in the future and not in the past (positive). While the ending of this episode seems to imply that Carol still ended up happily raising children, it leaves the viewer with a sense of loss (negative). Not a big fan of the "new" TZ.

  • Kenny deserved to die= he had red hair.

  • This is the first " new" TZ epi I've watched, think I'll go back to the original. Shame on these "people" for trying to copy the master!

  • I am crying so hard right now.....I havent seen many episodes but I love this one and it makes me so sad....Thank you for putting this up.

  • @InkeTheEliteMajor got one word for you...CYMBALTA/

  • @bettypro It's a sad story dang it, I'm not depressed. Never been depressed. This is just a really sad episode and it tweaks my heartstrings thank you very much

  • actually, whether or not she would have had that exact "Kenny" would depend on which sperm cell made it to the egg first...

  • Some of these are short

  • she did NOT have an abortion. she broke up with her bf to start her career, and since she lost her bf she never got pregnant :( so sad

  • AO Gay

  • they always leave episodes so unfinished ussually, this 1 was more finished i admit tho

  • Aint that a bitch.... an abortion in the twilight zone!

  • @jrand23 She didn't have an abortion. Because she chose her career over her boyfriend, she never got pregnant and never had Kenny.

  • I think that supernatural things like this actually do sometimes happen, although they are extremely rare.

  • @ParagramTree and your evidence for this is?

  • -cries so hard- Oh Kenny....

  • my arse went 'POYOUPP'

  • That was very sad, when kenny faded.I dont like the bitch who made kenny die!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i'd treasure that skateboard forever

  • @TheMaczimillianMan She had an abortion...

  • @oMercuryx She didn't have an abortion. Kenny is the son or offspring she would have had if she had married her boyfriend that she gave up for the sake of her job and career

  • i dont get it...

  • 9:33 How come the skateboard didnt fade away?

  • i don get it , can semone explain me

  • their performance was very moving.....

  • i thought it came back in the 2000s Idk i never looked at tell they should it on the Syfi channel on NEwyear That is how i found out about this show

  • I haven't seen this in over 15 years and it still gives me chills. Man, I miss the late 80s to mid 90s.

  • @ 6:14 , . . . didn't see that coming!!!

  • the twilight zone *puts on sunglasses* oh yeahhhhhh

  • I've always loved the old TZ Rod Serling episodes. But I'm starting to like the 80's episodes as well. Especially this one, which has a strong message.

  • So, you can't have a family AND a career? Says who? Since when?

  • @DoctorLawyerWhatever Oh, it's always supposed to be a choice of one OR the other when you're a woman. But this is the modern age, so screw that attitude.

  • @DoctorLawyerWhatever Cultural fear of women's independence - these sorts of themes were in all the shows from the 70s and 80s (I remember them well). It also has that 'religious' bias that souls are waiting to be born, so sisters, get to breeding or they'll never be!

  • This is sad, maybe women would think before deciding to do such a thing.

  • The best show ever, they should put stuff like this back on the air!!! and remake shit or something

  • Hey that ginger kid is Sgt Malarkey from Band of Brothers.

  • @ih8suvz That kid Also stared in most if not all of The Critters movies!!

  • it ain't a 'ginger' its a RANGA XD

  • twilight zone 80's series was a disgrace and embarassment to the original series

  • FAKE. Gingers don't have souls.

  • this sucks compared to the original twilight zone "little girl lost" even though its in black and white

  • Who Wouldn't Scott Grimes to be their child?

  • Hey, free skateboard!

  • @davidls11 lmaao

  • wonder how this lil flick would do in China?

  • This is not sad - this is anti abortion propaganda! Worst episode ever!!

  • Comment removed

  • @YouHolli ohhh Holli nooooo wyou didn't? lol

  • @YouHolli Not really... This was more of like a "What would YOU do" episode. I understand why you may come to that conclusion, but think of it this way: One way or another, the protagonist would have lived a happy life, either as a successful business woman, or a loving mother. Any person would be depresses to find out how their life could be, and no matter what, will never truly feel fulfilled. It's like the old saying goes: "The grass is always greener on the other side."

  • the ones from the sixties were way better.

  • Wack!!

  • sad one ..

  • Haha, Steve Smith from American Dad.

  • Damn I thought this was one of those ten minute twilight zone eps. Fail!

  • Imagine all the Kennys that never were (cue sad music)... passed on each month, unwanted, only to end up in "feminine supplies" in a landfill. Yeah, really makes you think.

    Oh, brother..

  • The incidental music sucks big time!

  • the guy talking always freaks me out

  • @LadyMeilin Spanish translation was also veeeery freaky.

  • "you can have a boy one day, and you can name him kenny!.. but it wont be me.."

    saddest part ever :(

  • this episode is sad i cried reading the wiki :(

  • T_T tragic..yet mysterious

  • This sucked. You squeezes a 30 minute episode of the twilight zone into a 10 minute episode, so a lot of questions are left are answered. Sux !

  • this is the first time i watched a twilights episode. i felt awed with the story.

`someday, you will have a little boy, you can name him kenny but he would never be me'.. :,(

  • what did she say at 7:40? I can't make it out.

  • Can someone tell me why she is saying "My god - I have freckles" ? Is it a joke? Because I could laugh at that if she didn't say it so damn incomprehensible. There are no subtitles whatsoever to find on the net to the first season... I'm too tired to look any further for answers. It just doesn't make sense... drives me crazy.

  • @DukeTwicep She said she had freckles because Kenny also had freckles, meaning, he got them from her because she's his mom.

  • @DukeTwicep it's because the boy had freckles as well.. duh.

  • @Opisthotonos Ah, so just because you have freckles and you meet someone that has freckles you're somehow in their family or cousins to them. Didn't know freckles were that unique.

The thing is that she's stating that she has freckles like it's something only she and her relatives have and no other americans. It's bad logic. That's like saying: "Omg the lights are flickering, must be a storm heading this way".

  • @DukeTwicep ah, blah blah blah, sorry for explaining it to you.. oh, and if your lights are flickering there might actually be a storm heading your way :P better take cover.. freckles aren't unique? ah, so i guess birthmarks aren't unique either, because almost everyone has them, and i guess eyes aren't unique because almost everyone has them, and so on.. i think you need to look up the term "logic".

  • @DukeTwicep also, you might wanna look up "unique" as well.

  • @Opisthotonos

Unique: 5. "Not typical; unusual: She has a very unique smile. "

Freckles aren't that "unique" no. Which means that she could've said "omg I also have different coloured eyes".

Oh and if lights are flickering, there might also not be a storm heading your way :O. And.. well you are a coward if you cower in the prospect of a storm.

Logic: 4. "Reason or sound judgment, as in utterances or actions". Something you seem to lack. Touché.

  • @DukeTwicep heheh.. maybe look up "touché" as well? NOW you can say touché! ;)

  • @DukeTwicep there's something wrong with your LOGIC there. you can have a unique smile, but smiles aren't unique! SO, you can also have unique freckles, but freckles aren't unique.. that's logic. something YOU seem to lack. a "touché" from you would be very fitting now.

  • @Opisthotonos Ah you mean that one can have a unique smile(noun), in the way that the mouth is formed. But that it's not unique to smile(verb). And that you can have unique freckles, in the way they are formed and positioned (and quantity, etc.).

But that it's not unique to have freckles, lots of people have them. Which brings us back to my first question which you must have misunderstood:

If freckles aren't unique to her bloodline, how come she sees this as a proof that he is her son?

  • @DukeTwicep this is literally unbelievable.. okay, im not asking you to mock you, im being dead serious. do you often do this? do you generally have issues with arguments you didn't win in the past or something? im sorry, if you hadn't noticed, but we already did this.. 8 months ago, dude! it's over, okay? i can't imagine any other reason why you would start this again, other than it must've been bothering you. a lot. let's just agree to disagree, okay? im sorry, but im not doing this again.

  • @Opisthotonos No sorry, I just realized there was a history section in the youtube account where you can see if people have answered some of your comments. Indeed it was 8 months ago, and of course it's bothering me, there is a clear logical fallacy in the statement she is making in this scene. Any sane person would react to a logical fallacy and try to either sort it out or see why it's not a fallacy.

My original question was, why does she react to him having freckles if anyone can have them?

  • that's some of the REALEST acting i've ever seen: 4:25 " You scared the hell outta me!" Nowadays, "the FUCK outta me!" member to enunciate.

  • i was so sad when he said i understand... bye mom. o my gosh! and then he disapeered from the pictures! DDDD:

  • U KILLED KENNY!!

    U BASTARD!!

  • @RoyNiggaBusta thank you so much, that just made my llife

  • @RoyNiggaBusta LOL nice one

  • I would laugh if that kid was Justin Bieber

  • @OILERS217 its biebers mum before the op

  • It wasn't an abortion. Gosh, you guys aren't good at watching these.

She's making a choice between her career and staying with boyfriend. She chose her job. That is why the pictures continue to show Kenny with her in the final scene... and only then he disappears once she leaves the apartment with her packed bags. She took a new job and is going somewhere for a while... so she will no longer be with her partner. That is why she was crying and hugging him earlier.

  • Wearing a sweat head-band!

    Soooo, boring 80'sssssssszzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. (slept)

  • This is sad...so sad.

  • "Guess my name" :)

"Er... creepy little ginger haired dude?" O.o.

    "Riiiiight! You're a good guesser!" :)

  • AWESOME! SAD! AND I LOVED IT!

  • Gosh - I had totally forgotten this episode since I saw it when it was originally aired. Yet I instantly remembered the story and thought it very thoughtful and sad.

    Thanks for jogging my memory.

  • That bitch killed Kenny!

  • @killDdeceiver you bastard....lol

  • I didn't really get it, what did he mean at the end before he faded away? Did she have an abortion or something?

  • sooo sad

  • I didn't know Corey Feldman was in this!

  • "Dads all torn up and moms got like a harpoon thing stuck in her neck.....and they're getting bigger...." the critters kid....

  • twilight zone i look this when i was younger i came on 23:30 in the evening greets from holland

  • giygas=twilight zone

  • This was written in the day when there weren't many options for women who wished to delay starting a family; in vitro fertilization was in it's infancy stage. Many women who postponed pregnancy past middle-age (35) couldn't get pregnant. It was (and in some circumstances today) a major dilemma for some women.

  • Please. This is from 1985, not the dark ages. 1978 brought the first "test tube baby". Perhaps IVF has now hit a 28% success rate vs 5% in 1985, but that is still below 50%, which aren't super odds per attempt. I see the point of this episode as sometimes you just can't have it all. Nothing wrong with that, we all make individual choices.

  • @daffodilsrule And your point? ACOG just reported last month that by age 30 only 12% of a woman's eggs still remain viable for fertilization. You obviously did not understand my objective.

  • sorry. You made me feel very old :-) 1985 was far from 1950, a hundred-fold more choices for women. That was mostly my point--and that even so, having it all isn't always what it is cracked up to be (and the science isn't 100%). Sometimes doing one thing well is better than dabbling. no negativity meant.

  • Yeah I don't see any propaganda or religion in it at all. It's about choice and living with consequences.

  • It's not really about any morality at all, I guess. It's more the kind of "If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?"-like question. It's about the momentousness of our descisions and maybe about all those fates we change with them. Even those of the unborn. One could call this an elegy or a meditation about determination and life itself. Since this episode implies that she one day will have a child, this has nothing to do with christian propaganda.

  • this is some bullshit right wing, crazy, christian propaganda. So she can't have a baby and a career?? Give me a break

  • Do you blame all morals or things that obviously piss you off on God, religion or Christianity?

  • Scott grimes is so adorable! I love this episode but its sad :,(

  • scott grimes was so cute.

  • That ginger kid plays Doctor Morris in ER. That's funny and.... odd.

  • skrew u guys,I'm goin home...

  • No. A number of these episodes are scary but also heart felt and meaningful. I believe Rod would of liked Little boy lost and a few others which teach you something. He'd be touched of this revival because he died thinking he was a failure. Now the 2000 version of TZ he would of hated like sin.

  • kinda deep

  • lmao he acts the same till this day :')

  • ginger kid FTW!

  • "Help stop the disease" lol

  • How could she.....*cries*, I'm never having an abortion...this was terrible...

  • That kid looks like Paul McCartney

  • all toasters toast toast.....@

  • @FLENNN1 where iz that from?? i remember it...

  • @FLENNN1 correction all toasters toast bread...

  • TOAST!![[[[

  • *sobs* how?! How could she choose her job over the child she knew she could have?! Over the child she already loves?!*cries*

  • sarereeeeeeeeeee

  • I can't remember the name of my favourite episode from the 80s..something about a pair of black pumps that caused the woman who wore them to act like the original owner...

    Please help me!?

    Haha

  • Dead Woman's Shoes

  • dead woman's shoes... something like that :D

  • Very good episode, but I figured it out before they said what was going on.

  • I think I now know exactly what this story is about now. The woman is visited by a ghost from the future of the child she will have if she decides not to take up a job where she will be away from home alot and so not have time to bring up a child. She is about to make a decison shortly about whether to take the job or not. After she decides to take it, she meets the boy again and finally realises this is the son she could have had instead of the job.

  • Wow I hope no reads your comment before they watch this. How about a SPOILER WARNING next time

  • What are you an idiot? You see the word SYNOPSIS before the summary of the episode? You should have known there were spoilers.

  • SPOILEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRR....

  • cool yeh thanks for that...

  • Comment removed

  • I remember this being on in the same episode as "A Little Peace And Quiet". Watched it stoned. Blew my mind.

  • I think this episode is supposed to be about the child she never had but could have had, if only she had made a different choice in her life about her job.

  • i cried when i saw this one XP

  • i remember this one

  • AWESOME,VERY SAD

  • Hm, I just started to watch the Twilight Zone. And, I don't get anything about it. Could someone mind explaining please..? :P

  • The twilight zone is a psychological/horror series that was on tv in the 70's and 80's (or around this time, I think). The episodes are strange and mysterious short stories about hauntings, monsters, time travel, hallucinations etc. It was a great series and definately gave me the spooks!

  • Well, also, the show teaches valuable lessons in life.

  • the boy is her son who never came to be because of changes in her lifestyle

  • someone please post "THE SHADOW MAN"

  • The epilogue in this episode is soooo haunting

  • it is the cheesest thing i ever saw

  • The episode entitled "Gramma" is my favorite from this series. It's a story by Stephen King. If anyone has it, please post it.

  • did she like have an abortion or say no to a baby i am comfused

  • Actually, no, Kenny is Carol's future child had she accepted her boyfriend's proposal, and Kenny would have been conceived that night. Kenny is the life that Carol would have chose if she had not taken her job.

  • someone please put "the shadow man" episode up if you have it! It's so good! I think it's from 1987. Another good one is the one with Sherman Hemsley where he's a teache who "sells his soul" by accident for an answer to a math problem!

  • that stuipid why did he do that

  • He said he'd "sell his soul" to get the answer to the problem. He was just using it as a figure of speech. Tthen, at that moment, a mysterious man showed up to make good on the offer.
