I was wondering if you've ever used NYX? If so, are these Coastal eye shadows anywhere near to the NYX consistency? I personally think they smudge too much and are a bit too heavy. I like the Mac eyeshadows bc they layer nicely and also set well. Whereas the NYX ones do not set properly and always seem too thick. So I'm hoping these coastal colors are not like NYX and more like MAC.

@MarilynFM I would compare these shadows more to mac, I never have problems with layering these colors and they set very well.

@bubblegumEbear really? my friend has the same palette and her shadows are just as pigmented as mine, or maybe the lighting in the other videos is washing out the colors, making them look sheer.

think you used the same color as a dupe for brulee as you did for vanilla not sure if you realized that

@Ilovedorey you're welcome hon. If you are just starting out this is a great palette to start out with :) you have all your neutral shadows and you're right, it is super affordable, plus there's plenty of mac dupes in the palette. Glad you enjoyed watching the video.

awsome review vid! especially when you're showin us which are good dupes for the MAC's eyeshadows...and they're all the colors I've been wanting to get from MAC but anyways, I just wanted to say that Ladies!!! coastal scents are having a 27% sale for this particular palette, i have no clue how long it'd last BUT it's going on RIGHT NOW! as Im typing this and no, i dont work or trying to sell products from coastal scents. thank you for your suggestions and tips...they are greatly appreciated...would you say that no matter what palette you have that the lightest shade is usually for highlight or lid and the medium to darker shades are for the crease and/or dimension or accent...because i have so many of these combinations; especially in the cs warm 88...

thanks for your previous reply...for those of us, like me, who freak out and become overwhelmed with so many colors to match up and use correctly...do you have any tips on how to do that...i love the palettes...they just overwhelm me...im not sure how to match up the different colors to coordinate a beautiful look on the eye...thanks again....

@59nubian I used tog et overwhelmed also. The easiest look to come up with is just to put a color thats close to your skin color all over your lid and also use that color as a highlight under your brow bone, another chade thats a few shades darker than your skin tone in the crease and a dark brown in the outer V to add some dimension.

Is ricepaper the one in the left bottom or the one next to it? I have the ebay version and it's the one next to it is a light brown colour!

Hey you did the mac vanilla and another color as the same color in the neutral palette. Can you do another video showing both colors in each palette everyone does a video saying that they are the same but I want to see both colors not just the neutral palette

awesome palette but i have a question, can you depot these into mac/elf compacts?...are the pans loose enough that they can easily be taken out? the whole thing isnt very portable (i only want a few colors) thanksss!

I've heard people say that the coastal scents palletes and others (BH cosmetics, manly cosmetics, etc) are made from unsafe ingredients. Do you know anything about this? I really wanted to get one of the 88 or 120 palletes but after hearing that I was a little unsure.
