  • @theoneandonlySS1995 This was recorded in 1963

  • This is not Janis.

  • It was with janis that i "descovered" the music (im 14)... i have lots of CD's and i can spend all day listening her voice... i feel sad when i think that she death so young..

  • I GREW UP LISTENING TO JANIS WITH MY DAD (IM ONLY 27) & I FEEL NO ONE HAS CAME CLOSE TO OUT DOING HER....SHE IS A LEGEND ...WE LOVE U JANIS

  • Love you, Janis!

  • Reminds of Dylan's "Live at the Gaslight", from 1962, or some of his home tapes.

  • Did she accompany herself on guitar?

  • wow. love this style in her voice.

  • Being a contemporary of Janis (more or less) in Houston, I have all of her recordings on vinyl. Not the CD's (or not all of them as yet).

She was unique. There will never be another Janis.

I was lucky to see her live, in concert, in Houston.

By the way, don't care for Port Arthur or their treatment of her!!

  • crayokay,

I always heard that port arthur always smelled like rotten eggs due to all that natural gas thats mined or whatever around that bleak town

  • @crayokay sorry, do u think that vinyl have more quality than CD or its the same quality?

btw, you r a lucky person, see janis live is my dream..:(

    whatever, thx

  • @crayokay can you please tell me which album this song would be on or was this just a performance...i love this song...thanks

  • @crayokay The city did treat her badly :c But as a resident, I don't appreciate you just willy nilly dissing the entire city. :/ Not all of us are awful, you know.

  • How old was she when she sung this song? She sounds good. They will never

    be another Janis

  • @Dunwyche This sounds like Janis at Threadgils. That's where I remember her and the sound I remember. Always loved her but this was her best.

  • @rpdbluevideo It was either at her friends house (ala What good can drinkin do), or Threadgill's.

    D~

  • Ulala...what's the voice,fantastic,RIP dear Janis

  • One of my favorite Joplin songs. Thanks!

  • When i was suffering depression you know,i always say "I'm drowning in my own tears..."because my emotions are exactly like this, and Janis sounds like she's singing a lullaby here.. just goes to show her vocal versatility even at young age.

  • I just love her, she's the best.

  • She really blow all her blues away here...

    Untouchable emotions. G R E A T!

  • Oh this is so beautiful! Thank you!
