  • this film is like the flip side of "godspell."

  • Bingo Gas Station Motel Cheeseburger With A Side Of Aircraft Noise And You'll Be Gary Indiana. And he *loves* to hurt people...oh and I ate all the peyote in town. Thats it.

  • This is such a bizarre yet hilarious movie, I'm amazed more people haven't seen it.

Could someone please upload the scene where this guy gets up on a burlesque stage, performs a raucous jazz tune, and then begins screaming in pain from bleeding stigmata wounds? That's my favorite part! :-D

  • Is that the same actor who played as Sidney Freeman on the M*A*S*H TV show? It sure looks and sounds like him.

  • @Ringo84 yes it is!!

  • these are all names of paintings by gary indiana!

  • Lead character interesting but mostly this is an incomprehensible inside joke of a Jesus parable.

  • That might be the funniest thing I ever saw in my life. God knows why.

  • What an amazing movie!

I wish someone would put a video of this guy singing "Jessie's Back in Town" on here.

  • One of my fave flicks

  • "I can CRAWL again!"

LOL. I first saw this movie in the mid 90s when I was a young teen. It was forever cemented into my film hall-o-fame. I made all my friends watch it.

  • @ccohenramey

It was broadcast on A & E of all places! I kept catching the end. To this day I've never seen the entire thing but have always told people to see it.

  • thank you for posting this... love it. any lamey homo clips?

  • I am not spamming but you can get it at amazon.

  • i'm looking for this movie so badly... it misses in my B-movie collection... =)

  • As it says at the end of the video, i got it from a website on surrealist cinema. Try googling 'Chaotic Cinema' I think.

  • I live in the country of it's origin and I can't find a trace of it anywhere. However there were alot of negative reviews from 1972-73. I would love to see this! Putney Swope is outstanding.

  • "If you feel you're healed."

  • When I'm forced to list favorite movies, this one is always in my top three. Directed by Robert Downey, Sr. (father of Jr.)

  • Heh.

  • I've never seen it myself. Just this clip. It seems impossible to obtain a copy in the wonderful land of the free that is England.

  • This movie nearly killed me at B-Fest. Blood came from my mouth and eyes.
