I actually would like to see a sequel to this, it has potential, and it was just the alternative to capvom fighting all stars fans made it get canceled, they got a 2d version and they didn't like it? @jvision5 Unbalanced and completely rehashed like MW3. It looked like they used the engine from Capcom VS SNK 2. The UI didn't even change from it either.
The 5 games should've been Street Fighter using CVS2 Sprites, Darkstalkers, Red Earth, Final Fight using the alpha chars, and Megaman using the MvC Chars. Half of those games shouldn't even be street fighter smh
The thing that really puzzles me about this game, is how little effort Capcom really even seemed to put into making it. I mean after releasing Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, with about 70 characters, they think they can get away with putting out something that seems like a half-assed Mugen project with a smaller cast than the average 2D fight these days? I feel like this was some kind of joke or something, or maybe some kind of social experiment to see just what could be expected of fighting game fans.
The game been good or bad has nothing to do with 2D graphics. Capcom has made tons of 2D graphics games in the past and they were all awesome. This game tourned out shit because capcom did a shitty game. Period. Gameplay makes the diference, not graphics. Capcom Fighting All Star could have sucked twice as much as this one even with 3D graphics... Stupid graphic whores...

Ingrid is the only reason I give this game a 6.5. It honestly deserves less, but I enjoyed playing as Ingrid.

Ah, MUGEN Fighting Al-Stars. Yeah, Capcom was very lazy that day and made this into one of the best games for the arcade. But I rather prefer Neo Geo Battle Coliseum over MUGEN Fighting Jam any day.

The game is alright. I'd probably give it a 6.5 or 7 of 10. The only thing that would keep me going in this game is the music, and the fact that it's a hybrid game.

This game really wasn't bad. It just wasn't amazing. The main problem is the re-used sprites and small roster.
Just imagine how awesome this could have been with a few more characters and new graphics for each fighter.
Otherwise, I enjoy kicking ass with Jedah in this. ^_^

Theres a bunch of reasons:
-small roster
-using several different sprites which makes the game look very messy
-fan favorite characters such as Ken, Cammy, etc are not playable and are only in the background
-Only 5 series are covered and 3 of them are street fighter
-backgrounds look very cheap
