  • As a tin can sailor (USS Collett DD-730) on West Pac deployment much of 1966 to end of 1969 it was great to watch this trip down memory lane.

  • Thanks for bringing back memories and enjoy the music on this video. I reported aboard Blandy in 02/68 straight out of boot camp and left for Radioman "A" school in 01/69 so was on this Westpac cruise. Found out last year the ship and crew were awarded the Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation for service on the gunline in 1968. - Wayne Leach
