Try also feeding fresh veggies and fruits. Go for leafy veggies, also carrots work too. Try power feeding the live feeder with veggies too. Remember 10gallons per inch of shell with an original 10gallons extra. Good luck if any more questions just ask.

plants like anachris. I think they sell these fake duckweeds. I think you should get real duckweed since its easy to get and easy to keep. Cover the whole tank with plants so its a good foraging ground. Only leave the corners open. Like Theres another video somewhere around here where it shows how to do it. Put floating lilly pads too. Put the basking light above the tank, use a powersun uvb/uva light.

@Andrew: Just join turtle forums like turtletimes. I would listen to the mods rather than the people. Turtles arent easy pets kid. But again if you managed to k ill a common musk turtle thats saying alot... Oh and turtles dont get lonely. As for tank. That isnt the best set up. If you want a good set up for HATCHLINGS musk turtles. Go for a 30breeder, get filter made for 75gs the internal fluvals work b est. Fill the water to the top. DONT USE GRAVEL. GRAVEL BAD. Use sand. Fill it up with fake

Foods should be natural. clams, fish(preferably TROUT as its one of the healthiest, and salmon), crab(boil it)

Live foods:

-Crickets/hoppers

-ghost shrimp

-earthworms(red wrigglers)-these high in protein

-Butterworms/goliath worms/pheonix worms(Buy all of these different ones these contain high calcium, and other needed stuff)

Make sure to have a steady supply of snails. These mainly eat snails. Avoid: goldfish, feeder fish, mealworms, superworms, mice,herps.

@Andrew: Again normally these turtles even as hatchlings are a tad pudgy. Think of them as mini-snapping turtles. No offense, but seriously if you managed to kill even the sturdiest of turtles Iam very surprised! Ived had people keep these in dirty water, poor food, small tanks and STILL they live. Not trying to put you down or anything. But if you are actually serious about these animals, you have to read, read, read, and read some more.

@Andrew: The fact that you dont know much about these turtles. Musk turtles are solitary. Go to a pond and see for yourself. How distanced are the musk turtles? Do you OFTEN find them very close like atleast a foot near? No. Most likely not. Musk turtles are very territorial. Your razor back grows larger than the other musk turtle posing a threat to it.

2)You should have paid attention to your turtles health. It doesnt even look healthy in the video. Its very skinny.

@andrew71888 no i agree with shaheennobar i once got a baby tortoise form tortoise shack which turned out to sell sick tortoises and my tortoise died while i was on vacation. but after i got another tortoise and hes healthier. u can find medium or adult turtles at lots of pet shops so maybe you can have a bigger turtle

Yep stinkpots are one of the smallest species of turtles. You know they say you cant tell the sex of turtle until 4inches. Musks you can tell at 2-3inches. My smallest female laid eggs at 3.5inches. My smalles male is 2.5
