  • great song to make love to!!!!

  • The Pointer Sisters released this in the Spring of 1981, then Del Reeves covered it later that same year. Conway Twitty's cover in 1982 was good, but not THIS good.

  • Song for appreciators!

  • I have always loved this song and this is a great performance. Anita and

June look like they are headed next to act in an episode of Star Trek.

  • another awesome one by these oustanding girls

  • Beautiful. This is a Conway Twitty (peace be upon him) tune. Therefore, its a country song.

The Sisters do it so sweetly. I'm sur Conway heartily apporved. (How could he not, these women were a force to be reckoned with...so talented.)

  • @krimsonpage Sorry yet the Pointer sisters did it a year before Comway -> still both versions are great !

  • @krimsonpage No, no, no. This song was written FOR the Pointer Sisters by John Bettis and Michael Clark. Conway Twitty covered it afterward. I'm sure the Pointers approved of his version!

  • Oh yeh, that the song.

  • Perfect. What the hell has happened to real R&B?

  • Another song of the Pointer Sister's I love.

  • u know wat i was thinking about this song, this would have been a perfect song to put in the Movie Scarface with Al Pacino, even know the movie was shot in 1983 the movie was depicted as being set in 1981,

  • R.I.P June!!!!

  • gooodddd.....brazil

  • I love this song. WONDERFUL!

  • GOOD TIME

  • I like this stripped down version compared to the pop tune they have in the music video.

These girls can sing their asses off, but Conway Twitty still owns this song.

  • ahhh hell no

  • @gorefinger

    No way.

The Sisters did it and he failed to copy it well.

  • You're an idiot, Conway Twitty recorded this song originally.

  • @gorefinger The Pointer Sister released the song in early

1981 and Twitty covered it in 1982.

  • THANK YOU.

    S.D.P.B.

  • I love this song .... what a true..,

  • A 10 for sure

  • anita sets the house on fire with this song''.......way too sexy to be legal. all 3- all-time great performance.

  • conway twitty covered this pointer sisters killer song.........

  • True That!

  • conway twitty sang it first

  • Not sure who recorded it first. John Bettis &n, Conway Twitty & The Pointer Sisters recorded it. Maybe its because I heard theirs first or because I'm a girl, but I like the Pointers' best.

  • Pointers sang it first, in 1981. Twitty did it in '82.

  • That's right. I checked it after I posted. Some people seem to think it was originally a country song, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

  • @WildeNotesMusic Conway Twitty also does a nice version, but I'm a guy, and seems to me the song lyrics are better suited coming from the woman's perspective? Nobody does it better than Pointer Sisters (imo). Thanx for the posting.

  • @telarock I agree, telarock. Somehow when a guy sings it,

it kind of sounds like a seduction line. LOL

And The Pointers' version is my favorite.

  • I love this girls from 1973

  • A classic for all woman in the world that need to be heard, loved, and receive strength from her man.

  • It's got that country mixed with pop n others...

  • I love this song too thank you for posting the Pointer Sister was great

  • Love the Pointers! Believe Anita was pregnant during this period; pretty sad - her daughter Jada passed away at a young (adult?) age.

  • nooo, Anita wasn't pregnant. Jada died in 2003; she was in her mid-late 30s. Anita had her in the late 1960s.

  • No, she had Jada back in the sixties.

  • The lyrics to this song are just killer. Anita just nails it everytime.

  • Rest in Peace, June

  • Simply AMAZING!!!! God they were so young and beautiful.

  • Psyched to find a live version of this awesome fucking tune!

    Thanks!

    Love it.

What a great pop/soul song that was a smash on FM radio back in the day.

  • Thank you for posting this i wasn't alive in 1981 so obviously i don't remember it but it's a classic.

  • The Pointer Sisters!!!!!!!!!!!! what a great group!

  • I love the Pointer Sisters they ruled the 70'and 80's. Great singers from Oakland CA

  • nice to hear it again, great old song
